The game part reminds me less of console games and more like those flash games that you'd find on free games sites in the 2000's. The tons of blood, the techno music, pretty much the way it looks...
I have just read Collin's comment on other reaction video of his KaizoTrap.. The way you are amazed by his video is that He said he made the animation 16 months all by himself... Imagine 16 months animating a one 8mins of animation video all by yourself... There's "NO WAY" it'll not be amazing.. Btw, I like your fluffy interpreter dog :D
Aw I've also read one of his comments that (copy-pasted>)he spent maybe 1 or 2 hours a week making plans and researching for about 2 years before animation started.
oooh this brings up so many memories. I remember when he was uploading himself playing Kaizo Mario and thinking "dude, don't you usually upload animations?" but when he released the thing I was hype af
I know this video is a year old now but I'd actually never SEEN this animation before and I want to thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. This series has introduced me to a lot of really great short films I'd never seen before but this one so far is my absolute favorite.
Crowne Prince, rightfully introducing us to amazing animators! Without her I may never discovered some of these amazingly talented people or have bothered to click on their videos. I'm so thankful that this channel exists and scribble kibble does wonders, explaining how these amazing animations are made! Thank you Prince!
This is amazing!!! I watched the whole thing before watching your video about it and it surprised me how well it was choreographed and the level of detail it went into, especially towards the end when everything was glitching and becoming corrupted!
'It's a trap!' in the description. It REALLY is, you basically told us that at the end AND in the description.... That's it self is a kaizo trap. Dam you have a good way sneaking THAT kind of important information to us. XD And about assets! :0
Oh hey, an animation that I've actually watched. :D I found this person around 5 years ago with The Progress Bar. I remember really liking his animations. I recently remembered his channel's existence, and I decided to check and see if he still made content. Kaizo Trap seems to be a lot more of a big project than his older animations. :P
Thanks for sending me on an hour-long journey of trying to decipher hexadecimal, attempting annotation links, getting rickrolled, and realizing at the end that [redacted]. I don't know HOW I would've spent my day otherwise. (About 15% sarcasm, 85% sincere)
I really enjoyed watching that! :D It was like a part 2 of the animated meme "Forest Rave" BUT 10x BETTER! I even love the music for it. It was like I was listening to a new version if Geometry Dash, it was amazing I felt that it out ruled Techno and Dubstep at the same time. Thanks for showing us this Crowne! :) I'm going to go watch it again...
at 1:16 there is a split frame where you can find a base64 code on his leg (www.youtube.com/watch?v= and the base64 here) edit: the secret link is ua-cam.com/video/9u89HN_JPp4/v-deo.html edit2: when he animates that "press 3" text it actually brings you to 1:16, to make easier to find the puzzle
You call it choreography, but I just call it game design. There's a lot of good game design that I honestly wouldn't describe as kaizo. I mean, yes, there's a lot of pixel-perfect techniques required for the fictional game that Kaizo Trap is showing, but for almost all except the bosses, it's all so well telegraphed to the player that someone who was good enough could theoretically make it all the way to the boss without dying. The opening level is especially well done, in my opinion. Also I have 0.1 coding knowledge, and not really enough internet to turn up the quality enough to find it, so I'm going to follow your links.
My only complaint over Kaizo Trap is that within the game section our protagonists don't have mouths, this wouldn't be an issue, but the noses are positioned quite low, without much definition, and for I was thrown off by the thumbnail, wherein it looks like our protagonist is smiling.
I have been waiting for you to do this one. Thank you for doing this one :3. Did you "beat" kaizo trap? Even if you had to use some of hte available guides?
I pressed 3 but I found no annotations at that part in teh animation. Is there supposed to be something? Or are you going to force me to go through the entire animation and look for clues?
I would've brute-forced it if I'd had to (if I'd found the animation when it came out and nobody had solved the endings yet). In the end I watched a walkthrough because the puzzles would've kept me occupied for hours.
I spent 2 months until I got to the 4th puzzle then realized it was alsorelevant to my studies.... another month later and I had to use the guides to get to the 5th ending.
hey, I like this format, thanks to you I know about videos I didn't know before. sorry if my English is bad, it's not my mother tongue. I have a suggestion for a future episode: the music video of Hotblack by Oceanship.
you summerized it so much that everybody died edit: it's been a few years and this is further from the truth, the amount of info UA-cam and UA-camrs left out was astronomical, needless to say earlier i was pretty pissed of by this video. Sorry if i have a weird ever made hate for you Crowne.
I tried to search "zafkar", and was led to this video. I was trying to find the first man solved kaizo trap, but this video isn't containing any information about zafkar orz... So why I was led here?
Um, excuse you, the only time Sans' attacks aren't beatable the first time you see them would probably be the very first one, and that's only because of the surprise. His stuff is just really hard, not trial-and-error-ie.
SCRIBBL YOU STOLE MY NUMBER 1 RANK ON GOOGLE FOR "KAIZO TRAP"
NOW WE DUEL
*FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT*
Oh God I don't fell very guten
ohh man you chat in here too😶
WAR
I hope I be swisterland I don't want be part of this
Clarification: _J. You need video quality turned up to find it.
....... *hunts it down*
Game Over. I spent the past 30 minutes combing 1:15 through 2:58....
And?
I realized the thing I thought was a smudge was something else entirely. Turn up your video quality.
that white thing on the saw?
Thank you scribble I just wasted 10 hours of my life and learned 3 coding languages over an 8 minute video
Kill me
I actually paused at 2:53 by error. Sweet
1:16 smear frame confirmed
Hmmm. Something odd about that smeer frame...
goddammit. Welp. Into the rabbit hole again...
prntscr.com/fs6t9n
yup
Two actually.
my favourite part about this series is that I always learn something in each episode

Kaizo Trap is more than a single 8 minute animation.
Hint for finding the endings:
COVFEFE
Vellus ah Trump memes 😹
Covfefeeeeee
What if covfefe was a hint to this? the world would never know...
is that the doors combination?

I pressed 3. I don't know what I expected to happen.
There's something hidden in this video, 3 led you to the entrance.

If you pause the video during the smear frame at 1:16, there's a hidden link!
Doogong, thanks.
Whats the link then? It's just a smear frame right
EnderElectrics, sombody has it if you look hard enough.
EnderElectrics, I just remembered the link is on the smear frame at the bottom.
I think it is 9u89HN_IPp4
*OMG THE FIRST ANIMATION REVIEWED BY SCRIBBLE KIBBLE THAT I ACTUALLY WATCHED BEFORE I KNEW THERE WAS A SCRIBBLE KIBBLE ON IT*

aa ty for featuring my art!! this animation is incredible i love it sm!! kaizo trap is incredible aa!!
Scribble Kibble is truly amazing. Thanks to this show, I've been able to experience so many amazing animations! Thank you Crowne, thank you!
Thanks for sending me on an hour-long journey of trying to decipher hexadecimal, attempting annotation links, getting rickrolled, and realizing at the end that [redacted]. I don't know HOW I would've spent my day otherwise. (About 15% sarcasm, 85% sincere)
Could you maybe make a tutorial on how you like make a tail animation?
How much coffee had this guy while animating omg
When Dark Souls meets Contra
and they both meet sonic the hedgehog 1 and kaizo mario world at the same time
I love your hilarious style of reviews!
It's just so satisfying to watch, especially from a game designer's point of view.
Where and how do you get to the "Scribble Kibble Kiazo Trap" version?
the part at the end with the disoriented blocks made me think my tablet was malfunctioning
When I first watched Kaizo Trap, it gave me those Super Mario Maker Vietnam Flashback
Me: enjoying episode
At 2:53 : HOLY CRAP!!
I’m a game developer and I confirm! There is enough assets there to actually make a game out of it!!!!
Just wanted to say, who ever is narrating this video, I enjoy the sound of your voice.
Crowne please don't scare me like that, it's really late at night and I'm alone!
I really loved this animation the first 1k time I saw it. Guess what I still do! I Can't believe he drew all that character movement by hand!
I really enjoyed watching that! :D It was like a part 2 of the animated meme "Forest Rave" BUT 10x BETTER! I even love the music for it. GoldenLightWolf YESS ANOTHER MEME ANIMATOR:)
You should make a review on his series Raised by Zombies
That end. It blew my mind. I mean for this.
I won through the power of tons of assets flying around
when you have no idea what to comment
First
The Grand Necroposter who? me?
-you- Me
The Grand Necroposter I am so confused
-you- should -not- -me- you should be flummoxed
How is it that every time I find a good animation, you review it shortly after? I'm glad it is happening though. lol

that jumpscare though. almost got me Crowne.
What about Gooseworx short music animations? I'm really curious what animation and art style he's using.
"enough assets to make a game out of"? someone should do just that
I made it all the way to the end by myself with a bit of help from the comments, i feel like a mastermind
I doubt this comment will be seen but a really cool animation that I think people should watch is called zazel.
kaizo trap puzzle? I think you mean arg.
I love your vids you inspired me to consider animating I just don't have the right tools yet :) keep up the good work
Hey, what do you think of the music video to the Superman lovers' song "Starlight"? I was a bit horrified at first, but I've warmed to it now.
It takes skill to make Kaizo Trap
But it also takes skill to complete it
are u gonna do endlessly??
When I watched the animation I honestly wanted it to be a real game!
Hehe, spent an evening completing his puzzle. Was much better than doing actual work :P
Tfw you spam the 3 key on your keyboard and you get sent back in the video and you get sad :(
You should cover the pilot 'a grave beginning' or pretty much Studio Yotta as a whole.
You mean Orbituary? I mean, that's the name of the pilot, but yeah...
Yeah. I forgot the name so I put in what I remembered.
I have been waiting for you to do this one. Thank you for doing this one :3. Did you "beat" kaizo trap? Even if you had to use some of hte available guides?

Can you do icerift's Dark revolution? :o Its not the best, but i find it amazing.
I want this to be a game so badly
hey, I like this format, thanks to you I know about videos I didn't know before. sorry if my English is bad, it's not my mother tongue.
I have a suggestion for a future episode: the music video of Hotblack by Oceanship.
Please help me. When I sketch something in firealpaca its so hard to trace it on the second layer please mention this for me.
if you watch that see that other animation it was... like born by zombie idk born or stuff
Whoo! 200th comment! Loved this video, thanks for introducing us to new animations every week!
I remember I got a final score of 4 (4th ending) before I had to break down and seek help. But it was a fun time when it did com out.
I haven't gotten to the end of this video yet, every time it says "press 3" I get put back to 1:15 HELP ME ;(
Then don't press 3 when it tells you to.
