- All eight endings to Ratuz with the final encounter playing out differently depending on whether you save Four, Six, or Pamela. Saving all three isn't difficult (other than the initial 50-50 guess for saving Six on a first play) but it is interesting to see the differences.
However, as you only have one save slot you either have to back up your save for those critical moments to save some time or play through the entire game eight times for each variation. Fortunately the game isn't very long.

He also saved the protagonist early in the game when he was about to die.
Honestly, seeing 2's head scuttle on in the good ending was kinda nice. It's like "the gang's all here!".

@@thephilosophyofhorror Yeah, that did strike me as odd. I mean, he seemed pretty lucid. He could use a wheelchair, talk, figured out how to bypass certain objects, it doesn't seem like he was a brainless monster but rather a serial killer who now had superpowers.
Idk, maybe they just didn't want him on the same island as the serum that mutated him. Though they could've killed him, they did with a bunch of guards...
More like he is like: hey guys, don't leave me here!
Gotta love that head spider and his bravery. He helped so much throughout the game! He deserve that escape :3

This is what I want. The game rewards the player for actually being competent and dedicated. No twists and whatnots.
In the end, the game rewards the player depending on how well they perform.
Saving six from execution is kinda random, isn't it?

Last ending is Best ending... for the monster.

The "head" is 2
2 (head guy), 3(ratuz), 4 (dark guy), 5(main character), 6(bald guy) and pamela (5’s lover)
While the best ending is, obviously, the best, I really like ending 5 for the badass way Five dies. He knows he and Six won't be able to stop the ratman, so he purposefully goes further away from the boat, stares the rat down like "Come here, I know you want me the most", and while the ratman is busy beating him down, Six is able to make his escape. It also looks like at 4:40 Five shows ratman the middle finger, damn.
Oh, and it seems like ratman doesn't think Pamela deserves the solo escape, lmao
I mean I also don't think she deserves the solo escape. She is one of the people involved with all this experiments, how do you think she got the cure.
It's only fair Pamela dies in that ending because Four and Six die in the endings that have just one of them and her, while she escapes. They all receive three endings that have them escaping and five that have them dying.

The last ending:
"Haha! I've finally killed that human! Now i can leave this pla-- *notices the boat sinking because of the hole he himself made* ....aw fiddlesticks!"
Actually he might survive regular rat can swim 3 days while human 1 so.. I made some calculations and.. (It might be wrong) Ratuz can swim 4 days

@@DarkerBun I'm assuming the game is trying to be more arcadey and throws logic out the window when desired (which admittidely, sometimes works out in its favor). But if i had to guess, for the endings where he leaves you to swim, hes either just given up, or is hyper focused on something else.

Holy shit, I did NOT expect Ending 4 to go that way... Poor 4...
Although Ending 7/8 makes me wonder why Ratman didn't do that for the other prisoners...maybe he thought he could only take Pamela and Your PC alone?
I think for Pamela, it was a case of sheer hatred or spite. Unlike four or six, Pamela wasn't one of the prisoners but instead one of the scientists who worked on the project and made three the way he was. Of course he wouldn't be satisfied with letting her get away scot free.
As for Five, it's probably just because he's been chasing you the whole time, you were a thorn in his side the whole time and it was worth the hassle.
@@brandongreenland9632 Another explanation would be that in those two endings, the Rat monster faced the least resistance and thus had the energy to do a Friday the 13th on Five/Pamela
@@hansalanson3497 That makes some sense. A little less with Pamela, though it could be assumed that Five could've been demoralized from losing his cellmates.
I think it's based on the amount of people that fight him, in every other ending, at least two people fight him, while in 4 + Pamela and 4 solo, only one person fights the rat monster, which is 4 in both.

I find it awesome that it takes everyone to finally make an opening for Pamela. All the endings are awesome.
On a minor detail, I hate how no one considered bringing any sort of weapon with them other than Pamela. I am looking at you 6, didn't you use a weapon to fight octodoc? That would have been helpful now!
Could have stolen weapons from the guards they've killed
@@christiandauz3742 That or from the many that were already dead! On retrospective, those weapons did little to keep them alive from the monsters, might not have been all that useful

Your referencing to Two, right? Since he's the one who kinda saved Five just as he was about to die? Actually, we should give a thanks to Four as well. If it weren't for him untying the other two, this game wouldn't even exist. Thanks to both of these guys for saving the protagonist so many times!

@@ghalibmuyassar5114 The only thing I know is that he smiled when One died and laughed when Two turned into a spider head. Also, when he was Ratuz, he had access to his human memory, otherwise he would not have been able to count, ride in a wheelchair and say "Here's Johny". Moreover, he, in the first place, attacked the scientists, and not the prisoners located closer to him. It's obvious that he's just a crazy person who decided to take advantage of his transformation into a monster and just have some fun.
Ending 4 is really weird.
Use it on the mutant, it cures them.
Use it on anyone else, they blow up like a balloon.

Ayo Cranky, this game looks really cool, the way the character moves around the different levels really remind me of the very first Prince of Persia game... I'm definitely going to give it a try ! Thanks for putting the spotlight on this kind of games, I would've totally missed it if not for your video !
No problem, I originally got into the game for the deaths (which I'm still getting together) but I enjoy trying to upload on these games as quite a few are worth checking out. Ratuz isn't very long (if you know what to do you can have it done in 40ish minutes) but for $5-6 that's not too problematic.

I finished the game with the good ending but I'm sooo frustrated it last for only three act, that game is great I wish it was at least ten hours long to be honest! I hope these two brothers will make other games with that same 80's flicks cheesyness! It was a great trip down memory lane and everything I love about both movies and games!

He might not be, it is just that the serum made him go mad to some level. He might not have been a great person anyways, they all are criminals.
It's that laugh in the beginning he made when the second guy was treated and his head detached. He was still human then. That gave me the impression that he was deranged.

Sad that no ending 1 survives. Yeah, i know he dies instantly at the beggining, but what if there was a secret ending or an alt ending for the best? Ive seen some "serious" games where they have funny and non-sense endings
