God the endless hours I spent at the arcade over 20 years ago playing this. There was nothing cooler than seeing a Predator pick up a pulse rifle and gunning down hordes of xenos alongside a badass chick with a katana.

I really find this story interesting. Predators not only allying themselves with humans and being portrayed as the good guys (although they are basically just preserving their prey so that they can hunt them all down one day, but still) but I also find it interesting how the Predators actually have english dialogue, and monologues. Just from the way they talk you kinda get a more in depth look into what their personalities are like. I love this! Why can't this game be turned into a movie?! One that won't get fucked up!

Oh man, I loved this game! It's basically Final Fight but with Aliens and Predators. I like how you could pick between 2 different Predators for co-op, since everyone wanted to play as a Predator anyway.

Arcade games like tmnt, x-men, the simpsons and of course avp were some of the games that i had the most fun playing at the arcade at the mall because 3 or 4 - players co-op is the best way to enjoy these classic arcade games. Co-op gaming is the holy grail of the arcade days.
A lot of my favorite arcade cabinet memories are from those trips with mom to the grocery store lol. Neo-Geo specifically. Pizza parlors were also known to house a cab or two.
I played this in arcade in early 90s was around 10 years old … i still remember it as clear as day light. Wonderful memories .. we cooped with my best friend and we’re both daddy’s now and we still meet to this very day. Hope our kids will be best friends too 😎

Back in 2007, when i played the game at my local dave and busters, this is the game i used to play too. I also saw some metal slug games too, and played this game. I also beated the game without losing a single life. This is the best game i have ever played. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The guy plays a lot like an intelligent boxer. Lots of quick jabs and goes for heavy attacks when appropriate. Also takes advantage of longer range attacks. I love this playstyle.
when the predators at the intro says "it's time to hunt" i heard it like it was a cheezy catch frase from a 90's kids TV show....damn the TMNT from the 90's and their beat them up have screwed me badly....now i can't unhear it
I played and beat this game the most out of all the games on my multicade lol. It's the best arcade beat em up ever made imo. My favorite beat em up is still Streets of Rage 2 but in terms of arcade titles, this has it all!

I remember buying the snes AvP game from a Blockbuster when they were getting rid of old stuff. I was so terribly disappointed when I started playing it because it was not the arcade game but an abomination instead.
I remember playing this when I was like 8 down here in Mexico, a neighbor had it in her little store and I had to put coins in to play. I played it so much that I was able to finish the entire game with just one coin. My older brother was surprised by that because he could never do that, although he did finish another Capcom game with just one coin: Eco Fighters. And I sucked at that game 😅.

Like you, I remember there was a 4 player version of Alien Vs. Predator. At the front 2 low seats and at your back 2 high seats and a big screen. It was like 2 - 3 tokens to play on the big screen. IT IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT THAT THEY DID NOT RELEASED A 4 PLAYER VERSION OF THIS ON ROM. Like the X-Men by Konami, there was a 6 player version wide screen of that game but never got released on ROM only up to 4 players. Alien Vs. Predator and X-Men never got a home console release starting from 1991 and 1994 the release date of these games on the arcade and until the era of SEGA Dreamcast until Switch, Playstation 4 and X-Box One. It was a crime that these games was arcade only. These are not considered hidden gems but games that was popular that never got a console port.

I've noticed throughout the predator franchise they always seem to toy with the idea of portraying predators as some sort of anti-hero. In predator 2 they rewarded the guy for besting one of them and taking the girl to their planet to train, in the predator reboot they portray one as being noble by honoring his word and giving the survivors a ship after freeing him and even trying to fight off another predator, the latest film had a predator try to give humans weapons to fight potential future predator in exchange for sanctuary, and finally this game has them be straight up protagonist working right beside the marines
The aliens were the bigger threat here, it was an uneasy alliance. Predators story arc is that they respect alphas and have a warriors code. It's not too far fetched and makes them more dynamic and interesting than just your standard, brainless Xeno.
It's cool they put Arnold's character from the movie into this game. D. Schaefer is Dutch Schaefer. Somehow I don't think that he would be siding with/trusting a predator that easily.
People complains The Predator's Friendly Predators idea that lead an stupid, poorly reshooted 3rd act. God why people didn't know that Predators can be friendly with humans on other situations

There's a few others that are up there and possibly even better in some cases--Golden Axe 2: The Revenge of Death Adder, Vendetta, and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs immediately come to mind as a few great examples, and both the Dungeons & Dragons games too--but it's certainly one of the best.

The avp movies were such a wastes oppurtunity to bring back colonial marines into the picture smh.

At work they have this arcade machine with over 700 games. Mostly fighting and beat-em ups. This is one of them and I play it during my break
