- Recorded version of the live Q&A #askWHO with Dr Rosamund Lewis and WHO's social media manager Aleks Kuzmanovic on the subject of COVID-19 in the workplace. This show was originally broadcast on 27 February 2020, live from WHO Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland.
What about the smaller droplets that can be moved by ACs and ventilators that flow within the office. Physical distancing won't help. What are the risks in a confined workspace?
Looking for specific information about what to do in the workplace if someone tests positive and had frequented/worked in the previous days. Are we to close down or simply "self-monitor" for symptoms?
Hmmmm why you do not keep a distance between you (1 meter)?!!
How do you feel because it's on your workplace everywhere sneezing and couthing 😂😂😂😂
This is very informative!
Please upload it on your official Facebook page to reach more people around the world (some countries use Facebook more compared to UA-cam), preferably chopped to clips per question. Thankies~

it doesn't help to have the fire alarm going off in the background

Very informative vid,
Whether N-95 mask helps the traveler at the crowded place e.g., Airport, Train, Bus to prevent or reduce risk of acquiring infection? since the mask is cheap and can be used for 8 hours, can we carry and use such during exposure to crowded places?
What is that alarm?
This Organisation needs big changes!!!!!!!
what is the comfort range of PH for covid-19?
it doesn't matter. it's not enough to know that. if you are going to use a desinfectant you must be sure of its spectrum to viruses. some desinfectants are just bactericides. some target only a portion of viruses. this is why the recommandation is bleech + the right % of bleech/water. see on the WHO website.
i think i get that you are looking for more environmental-friendly virucides ?? and asking if by any chance acetic acid (alcohol vinegar) could be a good alternative ?? the answer is no.
if you are curious, please be careful. because here we need to be very precise with what we do. let's not give this Covid-19 the chance 👍🙏
later on in a few months we will probably turn to more natural alternatives once it is clear they are effective. here it's a public health crisis so let's not risk the overload of our public health systems. let's contain this virus 💪
@@celinee.9562 i was thinking more along the lines of drinking a glass of water/1/2 teaspoon of bicarb of soda every day as a pre emptive as part of my hygene/preparedness routein?
@@agedragon289 your statement is flawed! its thanks to china not acting quick enough in the beginning, they were too busy trying to shut doctors up who were trying to tell the world what was going on! only then did china make this internationally known, not because they wanted to but because they had no choice! but that being said, only china is now taking the steps needed to stop this virus in its tracks! and your right, the world ecconomy relises too much on chinese manufacturing, even more reason for each country to be responsible for producing its own medicle stuff en situ!
Why are we the only country not testing incoming or outgoing passengers at any airport. (England)
It's not done in Norway either.
11:47 but we don't get updated regularly enough in our communities to know if is in our communities because we don't have great infrastructure because the Eurogroup don't want us to live and prosper, they dealt us a bad rap in 2015 - See Euroleaks for more.
I'm finding it surprisingly difficult to get out of the habit of touching my face. I didn't realise how much I did it before.
Dear who... now itself start what else the virus are unavailable in the world and how to prevent it?..this could prevent in future...
Hi there. Can Taiwan join the who? Thanks
I am curious as to the mortality rate of the elderly with pre-existing conditions. Seems to me the numbers are not entirely accurate as most young people show little or no effects but the elderly are the ones to die. In China, 90,000 infected and 3000 deaths, 60,000 of those infected are probably under age 60, so that leaves 3000 deaths for only 30,000 people. Am I wrong?
we are not statistics. if you are an elderly and are worried, take responsibilty for your health. be cautious and responsible. avoid big gatherings everytime possible. why do you need to know the precise number ? it's just a statistic. 💪 if an elderly is diagnosed and in bad state chances are improving over time because the chinese pneumologists now have published specific guidelines for improved recovery of severe cases of Covid-19 💪 it is not because someone is an elderly they will necessarily develop a bad case of pneumonia, just because they caught the virus. that's what is important to know. the risk is pneumonia and that's why professional monitoring is needed. take heart ❤️_ 💪 chinese reasearchers are testing treatments that are already licensed, affordable and readily available around the world so yeah. even if the death rate of the severe cases was 15% further amelioration of treatments are on their way. 🙏 honestly we can be grateful for the health system in China. the professionnals there, REALLY made everything they could to help the best they could. they did the impossible. what's the advantage of having a lot of patients to treat ? EXPERIENCE. they have experienced. and are sharing it 🙏🕊️💪👍👍👍
we are not statistics. that's something i like to say. me as someone with a preexisting condition.
and there is truth in this.
So basically the precautions you should take for the flu.
Who’s watching
Well i asked someone on the tram to stop coughing in my face and they didn't even noticed me. Some people are just rude and impolite.
God would specially bless those people who are abandoned by WHO.
Could you tell me, is the covid19 virus fly in the air????
Please call for a permanent end to live-animal markets.

Why are experts saying this SARS-COVID 19 could only have been made in a lab because of certain characteristics and a "gain of function" signature?
This is beyond stupid. Far beyond. Far.
Not an expert.WHO is sinner
Would it wipe out the world
No. People under 50 almost never get seriously sick. Children 0-10 years old ( relatively) rarely get sick at all.
But hey, viruses have a tendency to mutate...
IT's all BS - Employers have NO RIGHT TO ENFORCE MEDICAL PROCEDURES ON EMPLOYEES.. YOU ALL NEED TO F.O
