The older the person is, the more cemented his opinion is. Flexible mind is a sign of a thinking person. He's "deciding" nothing, but he's been involved in efforts to reduce and prevent diseases such as malaria in the developing world for years now and it's actually made him something of an expert in the field. You can google his "We're not ready for the next pandemic" talk from 2015 and see how accurate a lot of his predictions were. Which I'd wager is chiefly why so many people are talking to him now.

I seems to me there are a lot of american people who may refuse it; I think so because I read that more of 1/4 of americans believe at least one conspiracy theory about Bill Gates covid-19 vaccine (and 44% of republicans). I wonder what would happen in case of a forced vaccine policy. It may never happen because of the number of believers and Trump being a republican (in case he is still president), or it may happen if it reveals to be useful. But if you think about it, the vaccine will not be developped nor produced nor delivered by Bill Gates (in the US). Some people may debunk the conspiracy when the vaccine will be available, showing that in addition that it would be a stupid idea, there is no rfid (or whatever) chip in the syringe. What would happen next? Some conspiracists will wait for a new extension of the conspiracy story that will allow it to survive. That was enough for me to see how rapidly it was changing this was many years ago. God showed me truth about vaccines and I felt convicted to not give them anymore. Because with vaccines in general (not talking about coronavirus vaccine), kids won't die too young, so parents in those poor countries don't have to have many kids in 1 family like 6,7 or more kids, they can have 1 or 2 kids like the developed countries. With less kids that are healthy (don't die young because of the lack of vaccines), parents will have better conditions to take care for their kids, remember they're poor, it's better to take care of 1 or 2 kids than 6,7 or more kids. That's why things will be improved overall in terms of health and other conditions. Another thing is that Bill predicted the pandamic because there were a few of similar pandamic in the past like ebola etc.
