Well, this turned out differently than I pictured it to be. I like the sound signature on the XP-700 a bit more than the XV800. The treble is more pronounced, and the midrange isn't as forward as the XV800, although stereo separation isn't as wide due to the second tweeter in the back in comparison to the single one on the XP700. The midrange on the XP700 was already great to begin with, so additional mids starts to make it sound a little choked up in a way. The XV900 sounds like a big XG500. big bass, dominant mids, and shallow highs. But the deep bass on the XP700 as I can remember, was just straight bad. The Boombox 2 had more powerful deep bass even if the XP700 was plugged in. The XP700 goes lower in bass but it's significantly rolled off in comparison. And from this sound test the XP700,XV800 performs poorly in that category. But the mid bass and upper bass is good as to be expected. Not to mention the battery management future, I can recall the XP700 having it so that was a nail in the coffin for me idk if these other speakers have it.
This comparison make me want xv900 JBL in general very expensive in my place like party box 110 is more expensive than XP700 and PB 310 price is almost as xv900 price tag Crazy enough PB encore is same price as XP500 which is insane
Literally opposite in my country. JBL Partyboxes are less expensive than Sony. $960 for XV900 and.... $735 for Partybox 710. For me it's a no brainer - 710 is better in every way and cheaper. Also $480 for PB 310. So I could get 2 310s for the price of XV900. Again it's a no-brainer. JBL all the way.
Sony with their speakers have gotten better.. I went to Currys ( UK Electrical store) and the XV 500 was actually very good sound and I think it actually beats JBL party box 110 with bass to punchy 😮 sometimes it is something new
Man , I dont buy any audio products without your review, I have been eyeing Edifier WH950nb . Could you review it! There are plenty of other reviews but they are not nearly as complete of a review as you usually make.
One thing you never say about LDAC is that it is pointless with mp3s and you need high resolution files like a 16 bit FLAC to merit using LDAC over normal Bluetooth. It's still not good enough for 24 bit FLAC especially 96 or 192 khz files. I have an XG-300 and I use it with a wired connection from my tablet via the USB-C port and a Sony PHA-1A headphone amp which gives the fully hi res playback. It runs rings round Bluetooth and mp3s !!!! Most of my music is 24 bit FLAC at either 96 or 192khz.
You’re not wrong, I cut that info out for time cause explaining that is going to add an extra minute and a half. And the majority of my audience isn’t as technical as you. The vast majority are just streaming their music.
With these files I have no problem with the mids or treble not showing up or being drowned out as much more of them are present in the files I am playing from. Plus playing direct via a cable gives a more balanced result than Bluetooth.
I also have an SRS-X88 mains powered speaker. What do you think of this speaker? It has a single woofer, two mids and two trebles (tweeters). I can play full hi res directly from a USB drive, USB printer cable or by a WiFi connection.
Heard the JBL party box 310 by accident and in the store they had the xp700 which I asked to hear. It sounded no where close to the JBL 310. No wonder why they had the JBL playing as the store speaker. The Sound of the JBL was definitely superior with deep bass. The floor space of the store was large and open. It was one of the large Courts appliance stores. Gonna get me a JBL 310 for sure
DO NOT PURCHASE. For a party speaker with IPX4, a single spill behind to grill will render this unclean-able and basically ruined. There was no information or support provided passed the readily available info on the website and in the manual, which in relation to my issue, is woefully inadequate. Either they are unable to supply sufficient support in the matter, or the product is incredibly flawed. I am very very disheartened and upset that such an expensive product could so easily be rendered ruined.
Honestly if it weren't for jbl having the 710 and apparently a new speaker called partybox ultimate.....the Sony xv900 is the best speaker out rn. Everyone is bent over that jbl partybox 1000 but I'm not paying 1300$ for it. Rather pay 800$ for a speaker that is battery powered and has high volume with great bass. The 710 might be a little louder, better bass, and sound a smidge better. But honestly that no battery deal kind of sucks so in my honest opinion once Sony gets better at that sound to make it more full and clear then jbl might has a serious competitor. Sony really is doing better. I absolutely hated the mhc-v13 but the v71 I liked. And the xv900 I loved. I'd say they are improving very quickly. Jbl better game up or they might be in trouble. Cause unlike some people I'm not a fan boy. I'll rate it on how the speaker is not the brand.
Need a great answer .head phones tryed them all and for the money they all such ass.i have sony wh-xb700 on ear and they are amazing . What to buy also buying party box don't care about lights want the best for my money .no body has a good re view on the top 5

First impressions here - disappointing that a high-dollar audio system gives you a whopping three bands of EQ to play with. I'm hoping they tweak that in a future app update. Lighting appears to just be "there" -- not really sound active, which loses a lot of the effect. Also disappointing that there's apparently no pole mount option. Hard to fathom calling these "party" speakers when all of the sound that needs to cut through a crowd is stuck at ass level. Also, I don't see any level of security with the bluetooth - it sure seems like, in a public setting, anyone with the app could hijack the system without much difficulty. That could be disastrous. I hope I'm wrong about that one. The sound though, I can't complain about that a bit (XV800s, paired) and I do think they'll do great for 90% of what I need 'em for, and if the battery life lives up to their claims, they'll do just fine overall

Xp700 bass is a lot compared to xv800 that is light on bass but pushing a bit on the pmpo.
The xv900 is going deeper a bit that the rest.
Never mind money but what should I buy .want sound and bass .best for my money... thks I'm lost
Sony with their speakers have gotten better.. I went to Currys ( UK Electrical store) and the XV 500 was actually very good sound and I think it actually beats JBL party box 110 with bass to punchy 😮 sometimes it is something new
The XP-500 was the best sounding speaker Sony had made until these new XV speakers.
Okay i trust you.. I just bought XV800 online and will get it tomorrow 👍😊
it will be very helpful if you also share the frequency response of these speakers.

Might as well review some of Edifiers speakers and earbuds as well

How you add eco or change the EQ on the mic line ok the 900 speaker
I was wondering if you can connect the xp700 and xp900 together ? Like pair together? Or does it have to be the same?
Skullcandy Crussher ANC 2 Review please
No
The xp700 is $399 on best buy on sales
If you use the speaker for karaoke can you use 2 or more singing at the same time?
Pls give me suggestion. Jbl 310 sony xv700
JBL 310
The JBL 310 hands down will smoke the Sony xp700 in every category. It’s well worth that $150 more than the Sony in my book.
what about vs the 800?@@brycedanner9453

THANK YOU!
Sony é Sony 😮😮 os produtos da marca Sony são impecável.

Every speaker sound good until compared to a JBL. - Floss
If it's their es line then yes their newer es receivers are great waiting to see what the speakers are like
NOT THE BEST BUT ONE OF THE BEST.
@@vokso11 There is no optical port in all JBL speakers. What quality are we talking about over Bluetooth? LOL

the sony line is ok but the jbl party speakers beat them all hands down
Depends on how you want your music to sound. Sony is geared towards more Sound Quality.
JBL is more high end bass then clarity
Stop it. The JBL murders Sony speakers in every aspect.
