I do like the this speaker... HOWEVER, I've bought 3 of them and they all blew out within a few months. They have great sound quality, for the size, but they just don't last very long
It’s funny how reviewers only ever talk about single Bluetooth speakers when traditional speakers are always sold in pairs 😂 Bluetooth speakers are easier to position because they have no wires, and lots have lights that look even cooler when synced. Micro speakers are the easiest to have two of because they are cheaper and smaller.
What I understood from this video. If you want cheap - Go with Soundcore If you want overall good sound but don't want to spend too much - Go For Tribit. And if you have the money for whatever you feels like - ultimate ears, Klipsch or Marshall. Best is marshall with sound clarity and Base. Thank you
I bought the Tribit micro 2 after watching your review of it and I love it, awsome all-round quality as far as mini speakers go. Keep up the good work Danny!
I've had a Mini Roll for several years. Sounds great, flawless bluetooth sync with a couple of different phones and last week I left it outside in a rainstorm, dried it out and it works just like always.
@ That’s not the mini roll. You have the regular roll. Which was discounted 4 or 5 years ago. UE decided to bring it back but make it mini and do some additional design tweaks.
Man I really enjoy viewing all your videos. Especially the dancing. You must be a fun guy. I think papa gets the credit. He seems fun too. Have a good one Mr. Pops!!! 😊
Love the way you did the sound comparison. It is the best. Definately requiring so much more work & time to do the video editing. Your conclusion is also accurate. Nice job Danny.
Great video! Lol you made me laugh with your comment about the name of the Select 4 speaker and the Miniroll speaker! This channel needs more subscribers! Keep up the great work!
I find it funny that he mentioned that JBL is the Toyota of speakers when Toyota regularly uses JBL for there sound systems and the newest Toyota Tacomas have a detachable JBL speaker built in to the car
I subscribed to your channel because you skillfully blend a lighthearted tone with a serious one in your reviews, and I often find myself agreeing with your judgments... and also because you're engaging! ciao from Italy.
I cleaned mine up pretty much instantly with a custom EQ. And apparently the EQ that you set stays on the speaker no matter what phone you connect it to. I bought it, loved it for the money, bought a second one and gave my first one to my mom. When I set it up for her my custom EQ was already set on her phone. So that was nice to see.
I've had the UE roll 2 for a long time. Few years ago the battery went out. I was going to just get a new one but they discontinued it and was going for 300 dollars. So I replaced the battery for super cheap. It was difficult to open without breaking it though. I managed to revive it with minimal damage. I doubt it is waterproof anymore though. Point of the story, electronic companies should make batteries easily replaceable.
I've been using the Tribit stormbox micro 2 for a few months now, i notice that it's best used in small or very echoed rooms to just feel the bass more like a subwoofer sound system, even under a light material table like wood or plastic (best if old plywood office desks) makes it sound freakin larger, or have it face the wall on a hallway strapped to your belt haha
My Sony just arrived yesterday in pairs, black & grey. Bought it because of the built in mic. I just use 3rd party equaliser to pump up the volume if I want it to be louder. Just don't full blast the volume if u don't want to damage the speaker. Stock pair stereo is loud enough for family members watching TV in the living room to come to my bedroom to check where the sound is coming from. Amazing sound. Loves it. I also use Sony app for it. Sony Music Center
To me, the best sounding ones were the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 and the Marshall Willen 2 (which surprised me a bit, LOL). And I've mentioned it before that I actually prefer the understated looks of the Micro 2 as opposed to the "snatch it off my bike when I'm not looking" features of some of the other BT speakers featured here. As for the Miniroll, it was louder, but the Micro 2 and Willen sounded better. Adjust them to be around the same volume and you should be able to hear the difference in the bass response.
Danny your blogs are the best As a doctor I come back Smile back ,if I get to see ur blog You are just amazing The best Feels so connected with ur videos Keep it up Well done
Wound up getting the klipsch Austin, I'm blown away by the sound this thing puts out, compared it with my old Harman Kardon Onyx Mini and Klipsch sounds better, slightly less full and a bit less bass but the clarity exceeds the Onyx Mini, I love the Austin so much that I just ordered the Nashville
Very helpful! I wish someone did this to all the models of cars, boy we were disappointed with a car we paid 100k for and have to upgrade their system straight away
The Miniroll is a newer version of the UE Roll that was discontinued. The strap is worse now because the old one was stretchier and you were able to hang it off more things since it was basically a bungee cord.
Lately I've also purchased with my own money 5 micro speakers, all $25 or less, in hopes find the best bang for buck. •Tronsmart Mirtune H1 •Soundcore Select 4 Go •Notabrick Ki •Tozo PE1 •Comiso C16 Of them all, I like the Tronsmart Mirtune H1 and Soundcore Select 4 Go the best. They play loud with no perceivable distortion. Music is textured, dynamic, clean, and full bodied compared to the rest. Battery life is impressive also. But definitely use their apps to customize the eq. It makes a mammoth difference. The Tronsmart wins overall though because the build quality is better, the carabiner is super practical, and it's slightly smaller. I just discovered that unfortunately for the Soundcore, it vibrates and scoots, making it susceptible to falling off of a table. That's a bummer.
Great vid. As in prior vid’s, I’m standing by my comments and glad you agree Tribit Micro 2 is at the top. For the price it can’t be beat. You should also reference when there are apps that allow EQ customization as the Tribit Micro 2 has it and it sounds amazing with the Music EQ from Tribit. TWS makes it a winning pair. Tribit always has sales and the Micro 2 can go as low as $40 each. The link above has it way overpriced (perhaps an error.)
Such a GREAT review man!!! Thank you so much 🙂 Just bought 2 of the [Anker] Soundcore Select 4 Go from AliExpress at a 15$ a piece (I`m from Israel). Can`t beat that price... Again, thank you so much for this meta-review, You're adorable and funny!!!
Just ordered the Sony XB100 and from the reviews and videos i have watched people say that is quieter than the others they compared it with and in my opinion i value bass over overall volume. Because i already own a google nest mini (gen 2) and it sounds great, has good bass, and it is really loud and from what i researched about the Sony XB100 and the google nest mini (gen 2). The Sony seems to get louder and has deeper bass than the google nest and the other speakers in this video and in my opinion i think the Sony XB100 is really disregarded because of it being a quieter speaker.
Miniroll #1 then Tribit but you also can use an EQ with the Soundcore Select 4 Go and you get an estimated 20hrs. Sony sound signature is usually deep which doesn't sound good.
That green JBL sounded so cheap lol! :D And I do agree that both Tribit and that pink bun sounded amazing! The Sony might be super quiet but probably not so fatigue to listen to in the long run since it's more comfortable for your ears.. Though I'm not sure if it's just too cozy and hence make you fall asleep haha ;)
great review! I own most of these and agree mostly about the sound qualities (personally don't like the miniroll as much). I would also give an award to the go 4 for being the most portable, it is the lightest and smallest of the bunch even though these are all pretty small and light. Something to keep in mind if you're watching your gear weight if you travel! You could even bring two jblgo4s and it'd only be 20 grams heavier than bringing one marshall willen
The bluetooth speaker rabbit trail led me to looking around bluetooth amps and passive bookshelf speakers. For a fraction of the cost you end up with a much better bookshelf bluetooth speaker. This concept could give your channel a huge array of new items to cover. It seems to be the growing trend.
I thought the Klipsch sounded good as well but the Tribit is definitely the best way to go. The Sony has no treble very dark indeed. 💯🙏🇺🇸 Thank you i enjoyed this episode.
I have that Tribit micro for 2 years and its still working great, use it mostly strapped to my bike. I expected it to die after getting showered with rain several times already but its quite sturdy and has kept up 2 years of use and abuse. it still boggles my mind how affordable Soundcore can get their products priced but still offer good quality.
Does it give you a headache if you listen for a long time? I want to buy it for multi-purpose use like before going to bed or wearing it on my bike. I found the Tribit app review very convenient like being able to set a timer to turn off the speaker to save battery or adjust the EQ
I am listening to this thru' stereo paired Sony XB-13 speakers. Alone, it is the only speaker without fake boost of some frequencies. As a pair, it is the best for low volume cinematic sound (when folks are sleeping). Just place them not too far from the ears. Anyone raised on 1970s audiophile systems can hardly tolerate the others. Sony invented the Walkman, the CD, the video disc. They are the Lexus of audio.
I bought the soundcore the first week it released. You will not find a better speaker for the price, and it's not even close. The fact soundcore gives you the ability to have a fully customizable EQ on their app on a $25 speaker is all you need to know. Amazing sound for an amazing price.
I have the JBL one, got it in a package with headphones. Well priced, decent but not great. It’s good enough for me, but I’ll upgrade some time to the Tribit or Ultimate Ears.
Have you tried stereo pairing any mini speakers? Have just ordered a twin pack of LG XBoom and hoping they can be paired. In my experience lesser speakers sound better paired than the next one up in the range on its own. As such I always seem to end up buying a pair 🥴
Got the soundcore on amazon for $20 even which is a crazy good deal, then today i found another soundcore speaker on there (Select 2s) for $28 so i was gonna return it for that one as i would prefer bigger sound over ultra portability, but the return window had just closed a few hours before so i had to message them to see if they would still let me return it, and they not only let me but refunded me without even needing to return it. Can’t beat that with a stick! Gladly keeping it. I also have a wking x10 (similar in size to the jbl xtreme series) for when i really want more sound haha
I think my Creative Muvo Play is still small enough to count for these (since the Sony is not much smaller) and it easily wins the competition, I'd say. Underrated speaker, also about the cheapest here and it has some actual bass
I totally agree with you on DSP, active filtering and what it can do even of mediocre hardware. Also class D technology changed everything and is probably the reason when can create powerful small speakers these days.
That was a nice test of these micro speakers. I like the style of the Miniroll. One question: would you perhaps test a Devialet Mania speaker? Or have you heard that before? I would like to be interested in your opinion what you think of the speaker.
It's a really great sounding speaker...4 full range speakers on top firing 360 degrees two woofers front and back my only complaint is very short battery life Definitely room filling sound.maybe 5-6 ish hr. battery life....I use mine everyday especially with a projector, movies and music videos....and of course danny pops videos on a 150 inch screen....I'm thinking 🤔 of getting the klipsch austin....just because its where I live😅...but 800 dollars😢....
Tribit is good, the only downside is when the battery reaches 40% it will automatically decrease the volume from 100 to 30%, also the battery life is terrible.
I'm curious, did you customize the EQ in the app for the Soundcore Select 4 Go? It makes a mammoth difference. Otherwise it'll sound mediocre with any of the preset EQs. I use a smiley face. 🙂 It's the best bang for buck for sure. I paid $23. Heck, I'm going to buy a 2nd, pair them in tws, and they will blow away any one of the others for still less money.
@@DannyPops It's doing a disservice to the speakers and us to not have them sound their best. It's like reviewing several pairs of athletic shoes, and for fairness, keeping their laces really loose while running. You didn't even tell us which speakers have app EQs. You should've adjusted each app's EQ and let us know how they sounded before and after tweaking them to your liking. Yeah that's more work, but If you want to do a review that's worth any merit, you got to do it. Unfortunately this review has been almost entirely meaningless, not to mention misleading, thanks to that lack of due diligence. Honestly, if you really want to do it right, just shoot another review with the same speakers all EQ'd ( those that can) and call it a part 2. I guarantee you it will get tons of hits. Thanks.
@markwexy1621 thanks for the feedback! I'll see what I can do in the future to work towards that. I'm sorry you didn't find much merit in this, but also you are more than welcome to watch reviewers like Alan Ross who dive deeper.
@markwexy1621 haha I know what you mean. Also these channels are literally just people who enjoy audio and UA-cam, and the small ad revenue as a reward. I'll see what I can do in the future for EQ but it's gets real gray for me after a certain level. I do my best with my full time job and this as a side hobby. Thanks for the feedback and being here.
That’s why I am bringing back my Go4 speakers today. I love JBL and their mini speakers are so cute but I dont want to end up having a ton of speakers when I buy the new ones because they cant connect to each other smh
The bluetooth speaker secret is: buy a Miniroll. If you need a 'bigger' sound, buy more Minirolls - their pairing is awesome and you get to place them appropriately vs a single small-midsize Miniroll life.
Maybe slightly off topic but your house looks very cozy 😁
Guys It's just a background 🤣
Fr😊
She heard you say ex girlfriend. She interested
I have two Tribit Stormbox Micro 2.
One blue and the other red.
When I pair them in stereo mode,
they just sound phenomenal.
💙❤️
Agreed. Same with Tribit Flow and Go. My fav brand for TWS pairs.
Micro 2 is the winner among them all! Soundwise, pricewise and portability!
I do like the this speaker... HOWEVER, I've bought 3 of them and they all blew out within a few months. They have great sound quality, for the size, but they just don't last very long

Thanks it is indeed a ton of work to make these.
I too have Tribit micro 2 red colour and just loving it , bought it two months back, love from India 😊

I bought the soundcore select 4 go for a pretty low price using vouchers and coins in an online selling platform. Thank you for the good review sir.
I have four clip5’s. My favorite mini speaker at the moment.
Bro show me love with one clip 5 please 🙏
Fantastic comparison, exactly what i needed 😊

That soundcore is definitely legit, especially with the fully customizable EQ.
The Jbl Go 4 also have it tho

Amen! Freaking speakers, toothbrushes, consumer microphones, etc. They’re all big enough to have replaceable batteries and still have good designs.
What a quality review it was thanks fot the content!
What about going one step ahead
Tribit x sound go,
Marshal emberton,
Soundcore motion 100
Etc etc
Thanks really appreciate your these reviews, helped me a great deal when considering all my options
UE mini roll, JBL clip 5 and tribit stormbox micro 2 is the best compact mini speaker, the sound and loudness are dope.
Great reviews and fantastic and most worthwhile conclusion!

Of them all, I like the Tronsmart Mirtune H1 and Soundcore Select 4 Go the best. They play loud with no perceivable distortion. Music is textured, dynamic, clean, and full bodied compared to the rest. Battery life is impressive also. But definitely use their apps to customize the eq. It makes a mammoth difference. Great comparo.👍
Tribit is good, the only downside is when the battery reaches 40% it will automatically decrease the volume from 100 to 30%, also the battery life is terrible.
Thanks for the info.
I'm curious, did you customize the EQ in the app for the Soundcore Select 4 Go? It makes a mammoth difference. Otherwise it'll sound mediocre with any of the preset EQs. I use a smiley face. 🙂
It's the best bang for buck for sure. I paid $23. Heck, I'm going to buy a 2nd, pair them in tws, and they will blow away any one of the others for still less money.
To keep it consistent I didn't do the eq
@@DannyPops He dives way too deep🤣, taking an hour to say 20 minutes.
You have the best speaker reviews! I love Bluetooth speakers
Thanks Lee, keep up the good work on your channel!
JBL's "connect", "connect+", "partyboost".. now it's "auracast"?? Damn, this generation incompatibility is ridiculous 🤦
That’s why I am bringing back my Go4 speakers today. I love JBL and their mini speakers are so cute but I dont want to end up having a ton of speakers when I buy the new ones because they cant connect to each other smh
😮 didn't knew that move dame ...
Next please do the outdoor speaker. Especially the Tribit Stormbox Blast & Blast 2. I really need to know the comparison in sound.
I really need ur opinion , am looking for quality bass not loudness , for indoor , am a fan of instrumental music
I bought the JBL clip 3 a few years ago and it was the best portable speaker I've had
The bluetooth speaker secret is: buy a Miniroll. If you need a 'bigger' sound, buy more Minirolls - their pairing is awesome and you get to place them appropriately vs a single small-midsize Miniroll life.
This is how youtube videos should be made, perfection. Thank you Sir
