I agree, some say "well he is paid" yes, I get that but he has so much empathy while doing his job, no amount of money can pay for that.
Having a heart, feeling empathy for the horses you are treating, understanding that their behavior may be from past experience, protecting themselves, hurting and having pain running through them
      Big hugs
Also the horse that needs the double eye operation, I am surprised that if the vet is recommending both, why would one question both, not saying was done in a round about way, the vet said for quality of life, that with them removed he would have a better quality of life, and the rest of the exam only made his first decision more valuable!!

If you take the X-ray tube back you can get more anatomy, you just need to increase your technique. You could get more of the neck that way. (I’m a retired xray tech)

The farrier is always the most genuine caring person ever for the horse's well being. The vet from beginning had good recommendations from the heart for the horses to feel better too. People like them are the ones that truly care for the horses to feel better.

It was brilliant to see the vet reviewing X-rays - particularly when he is looking at the progress made with successive hoof trimmings. It really shows the difference that can be made to horses that looked like they had reached their end. Thank you again for going the extra mile and giving each horse their best chance. ❤

I really admire Pauly because he doesn’t mince words…at all. He never blames the horse he blames the previous owners, and he’s right a lot of problems stem from not the animal but where they were and who had them. Who really knows what really happened to these beautiful creatures? We see the results. I’m in hopes they can be helped. They are certainly in the right hands now. 😢 ❤️❤️

This poor Mare 😢 Prada is an absolutely beautiful horse 🐴 It breaks my heart ♥ that she's been so mistreated (abused) is a better word! I can't believe people were riding her 😢. And I definitely think Pauley is falling for her, as she is with him as well ❤. It's so sad to think that the human race can be so unkind. @@pjk1714It’s ALWAYS a human problem. NEVER a horse problem‼️
Horses only know how to be one thing….HORSES. ANY behavioral issues? IT’S 1000% HUMANS FAULT. Especially, with rescue horses from auctions. We NEVER TRULY know what kind of life they’ve had…how badly they were tortured, & abuse in general.
We take in rescues, as well. When other shelters are too full? WE TAKE THEM, PERIOD. W/E they need.

I wonder if the horses realise what care they are going to get as you lead them out the auction.
Poor horses and poor Paulie! Can't we do a Go fund me to get him crush with under belly straps like the Hoof GP?
It lifts the cattle totally off the ground, so poor Paulie doesn't have to be virtually holding up the horse and it would take a huge pressure off his back.
I don't know how much they cost but what a huge advertisement your refuge would be for a manufacturer. They might do a discount or sponsorship.
I don't know if they work on a horses anatomy but they are fantastic for cows.
If Paulie found a manufacturer I would contact them. All my searches just show UK companies as I am in England so I have no clue about American makers.
It would definitely help the horses as shoeing would be quicker and save Paulie from further injury 😢

      @TheKayCL You can't put a horse in a crush--they are too reactive!
There are harnesses available for rescuing horses from dangerous situations. I'm sure a call to the right people could get a harness to take the weight off Prada's back end and get her back feet done.

I so hope sweet Prada and Gucci will be ok. It's not looking good for Gucci, but l obviously hope I'm wrong. I said on your preview video that the look from Pauly when he saw Prada just shows you how much he cares.. he was SO upset FOR the horse 🐎..that yet again her pain was caused by humans..l hope and pray 🙏 that both can be hrought back from the brink to leave full lives..the owner surrender ..why wait this long seeing that eye swollen and sore but do nothing about it..l suppose l should be pleased they surrendered her rather than send her to auction..but that poor horse has been in oain for quite a while to get that eye like that..shame on all of their owners..absolutely shocking 'care' for these beautiful animals..can't wait for part 2. Hopefully, Janis will have had her foal by then..fingers crossed 🤞..Thank-you all for what you do every day to help these horses have a better life..🇬🇧💕🙏✝️🐎🐎🐎👏👍😢🇺🇸

Painting “broke” on that mare like she is a used car is so unbelievably disrespectful to me. Some people are just heartless.

I think they might have run out of space. They should have written 'broken' on her

Poor horses, if they had been properly treated in the first place, they wouldn't be having these terrible problems!

I know what that poor horse feels, eventually being in pain for a long time ya just as I'd say deaden some of the nerves. It's sad that there are too many horses that are not being taken care of and frankly it just pisses me off. There's no need for it.

Pauly is my SUPER HERO! ❤❤❤
Prada really DID look "sorry" for almost "sitting on him, due to back pain.
That horse is in SO MUCH PAIN!
Just a suggestion.... give her a shot of "horse Ibuprofen" (B... something...!?); before her next ferrier meeting.
Anyone can give those shots "musculary".

@TheKayCL There are harnesses available to groups that rescue horses from dangerous situations that would probably work for Pauly's purposes. I've seen horses hoisted up by tractors when they're unable to stand by themselves, but you can only do it for short periods of time. It would probably work to get her back feet done in the short run.

What is the deal, Paulie looks younger (In the face- Especially around his eyes) In each video! Is there an oil painting somewhere of him That is aging in his stead? Has he consumed so many energy drinks that he is lapped father time?

Here's a horsey fact for all those who don't know (this is something I learned fairly recently) but horses teeth wear away gradually as they age, growing down to replace the damaged teeth over time. Because of this their teeth should never actually bow outwards with age but should maintain a level connection throughout their life until the teeth wear away entirely or the horse dies. The reason why we see the abnormal teeth is in domesticated horses many horses are stabled or inadequetly kept (yes even your 24/7 field horse can be kept poorly) in terms of providing enough forage for a horse to be trickle eating constantly, which allows the teeth to wear properly. So instead of grazing/chewing normally the horse has to work twice as hard to wear down their teeth, causing the teeth to bend out of alignment over time. So now you know!

I believe the black 5 yr old mare was a product of the harsh training that is done for ribbons and money. I believe she is a Tennessee Walking Horse that was subjected to training way too early. My heart breaks for her! Yes, Tennessee Walkers are one of the sweetest breeds. I own a 28 yr old, all black gelding who walks on naturally. He was thankfully never subjected to Soring or harsh training. He was purchased at the age of 18 months and has always had a loving home. I really, really dislike evil, uncaring people. Shame on Them!!
