God bless the farrier, his knowledge, skill, kindness & empathy.
I have so much respect for Pauly, he always has to clean up someone else's mess.
Thank God for recuse beautiful horses 🐎 🙏 horses 🐎 living life matters 🐎 God bless you all angels life's matter ❤️ 😇 🙏 ♥️ 💜
Pauly should definitely write a book. I'd read it!
Me too!
Me three
Yes absolutely! I am sure he has many, many tales to tell 😮
Amen!!!
Yes.. I'd definitely buy it..
The farrier really knows what he's doing and has a great sense of humor..and very compassionate person. Really evident he loves animals
And he's so cute too! ❤❤❤
With a national shortage of equine veterinarians, Pony Tales is so very blessed to have Dr Kristen. She is obviously a talented equestrian with exceptional horse handling skills and one heck of a great, compassionate vet!
Yes, ponytails is lucky to have Dr. Kristen, Dave seems too unsure of so many ailments with the horses.
I was wondering why Dr Kristen did t give those 2 poor horses some kind of pain meds. I just was wondering
The entire Pony Tales team are the absolute best! I always love to see Dr Kristin and Pauly.❤
I am very impressed how farrier, vet and the pony tales team all work together. ❤
Dr Kristen is amazing! Dr Pullman is amazing! Their handling skills are kind but stern which is what these horses need! Of course there’s Pauly who is got a huge heart! You women are the best people, so caring and patient! Thank you so much for what you do for these beautiful souls! 😊❤
All horse angels ❤️
As Pauly says about driving by the Amish and seeing what’s wrong with them. Well it’s so true that’s what I see too when I look at other horses.
They should be charged with the negligence of the poor horses. We need to be their voice. Love from Quebec 🇨🇦
Pauly really does have a good heart!! Was a litle concerned to see how much pain he was in, just trying to stand upright!!
We were too. Turns out he had a different issue going on that was causing him stomach pain. He has been to the doctor now and our understanding is he is feeling much better now.
@@PonyTalesRefuge So glad to hear this, I was so worried.
I am glad Pauly is feeling better. I wouldn't want to see anything happening to him. He is an awesome farrer. And very Gentle with all of the horses 🐴🐎🐴🐴🐎🐎 works with at pony tails . All my 💕🥰❤️🤗💖❤️💖🥰😘😍 to all.
Love the blind pony so pretty. Hope the last Belgium 2year olds leg can be fixed at least be comfortable fixed.thankyou for saving these poor babies ❤❤❤❤
thanks for your love and service. you’re the best.
You all that are here at Pony Tales are a wonderful blessing for every horses that come on to your property are so blessed to be here! Thanks to your big heart!😊❤❤❤
I can only imagine how heartbreaking making these quality of life decisions must be. It always amazes me how much care is shown toward each animal that comes through the gates. Both Dr. Kristin and Dr. Pillman have amazing skills and obviously love horses. Paulie is hands down the best ferrier ever. And the Pony Tales staff is the bomb! It always amazes me how much kindness is shown by every single person. I love you all!
It takes a village, so they say . All know is that everyone at Pony tales has a special talent and together it makes an amazing team. Thanks to you all for the kindness and love that you give to each and everyone of those beautiful babies. Lou from , Det. Mi❤
your vets, Pauly and staff are so sweet to all your rescues. thank you for your great work.
Hey guys Lulu Lemon 🍋 is so beautiful. And I love her colors. I feel wicked badly for her. For be totally blind in both eyes 👀. All my 💗💕🥰❤️🤗💖 to all.
I can’t lie. I lived in PA for years and traveled up to Amish Country for doctor’s appointments believe it or not, and I never thought of how awfully the horses are treated. I always focused on how beautiful and majestic they are. I feel guilty, but I’m glad you all educated me. Thank you 🙏🏼 ♥️ I’ve recently found your channel and have loved watching every video. I’ve learned so much
I was not impressed with the farrier first time I saw him. However, today has changed my mind. He showed remarkable kindness, gentleness, skill, and empathy. You are lucky to have him!
Rescue work is so hard especially when having to make such difficult decisions. Prayers for Janice and for you all to have wisdom in making the right decisions. Thank you for all that you do.
Yes Pauly, when you have the time some time - please write a book! So nice to see Dr.
Kristen again. The little blind mare is so cute! I hope she learns to adapt well soon. We
Please nice farrier take care of yourself. There are tools to make your work easier. Wish you all the best. You do so good work.
She may be blind but she'll make somebody a wonderful horse someday once they gain her trust
That would be a great book for Pauly to write..The Life of a Farrier… his experience with his work at Pony Tails
I literally don't think I could choose what horses/pony's to rescue at an auction. I'd want to take all of them 😢
Hello people, watching from the Uk 🇬🇧
😢 I’m so sad at the conditions of the feet of of these poor horses! But thank god your in charge now ❤❤❤
Pauly’s eyes are just so gorgeous I must admit I cannot stop staring at them and he is looking so fit! His love for the horse is so evident. Love from Australia ❤
Thank you for rescuing horses! Pony Tales has two great vets! In Dr, Kristen and Dr. Pullman! I love Pauly! He is so knowledgeable with horses' hooves! He doesn't just tell you want is wrong but shows you, too!
Pauly, you need to take care of you too❣️ Course then again I'm learning my Dad was right; "When u get older, if it hurts it works!"
Good job All/all
Imho, the Amish should not be exempt from State Laws. You're correct, many are good horse owners but many aren't😢❗✌️🇨🇱🇺🇸🐎
For those who want to see Pauly give a clinic to the Amish, the ones who see value in the animal already take great care of them. They realize that a healthy animal works harder and lasts longer. The Amish who DON'T see any value in the animal are the ones who mistreat, abuse, and breed for quantity, not quality. They are the ones who need the clinic, but would never take the time to learn from it.
That’s a really pretty horse. 🐎 ❤
I miss tube worming, after they were tube wormed, those horses would just blossom!
Prada reminds of the horses that was used in the big lick, I hope not.
I feel LuLu's left eye can be healed with vigilant care. I have healed many horse eye injuries. I agree with your vet, that is a recent injury. When our mare injured her eye and she got fussy with eye ointment I applied cold pressed castor oil. it heals and takes pain away. Even when only applied to the eye lid. It goes deep into the tissues. In the old days eye doctors applied it.
You guys said of course to the horse!!
Poor little horses, I'm so very sorry you guys/gals have gotten in such a hard place in your lives.....love yinz to pieces❤
So emotional watching this one. These horses are in bad shape and it would seem that the last act of Kindness is going to be given to several of this bunch. Neglect, abuse, pushed to perform without proper feed and care....Ya, I am not pleased with many of the Amish regarding their horses or the ones that are running some of the largest puppy mills in the country. Meanwhile angels like you guys are trying to give a chance to horses whose owners cared little. God bless you all.
your Farrier pauly is outstanding! We need more of him in the world!. And your vets are just so kind, understanding and gentle. your all amazing wonderful ppl.
On the subject of Pauly's book. I have read several vet's autobiographies and found them fascinating! I learn something important every time I watch Pauly. When he drives between jobs could he talk into his phone or a tape recorder, then let us fans type it up for him? I don't want to wait until he has time for his book. Also please include tips like waiting for the grass grow to 6 inches to prevent laminitis. People just don't know about these things.
The tips would be wonderful, the stories unforgettable.
The color on your final rescue is beautiful. I hope she calms down and settles in.
hello people ,watching from Quebec
A Winnipeger in Edmonton here! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Have been waiting for this episode.....Hello from Ontario!
I’d buy the book !!!
❤I was happy to know that you purchased the bitless bridle from Free Spitit Equestrian. I've been following Shae's channel for over two years. She has so much knowledge and experience with her 12 horses. Shae can be consulted for advice. and support .i
pauly is a god!
You and your vets and farrier are amazingly calm and understanding for these fragile animals. They might be fixable physically, but sometimes emotionally the wounds are much deeper.
Another day in the life. Thank you for bringing us along for the good and the bad❤
Bless you for all you do for these horses which have been let down by prior owners!
wonderful VET!
Love to you all.
So Proud OF, and FOR you.
Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou for all of the suffering you prevent.
Pauley is correct. The more I watch you guys, the more I hate people.
That mare that was up underneath herself that was supposed to be a five-year-old quarter horse, looks like a big lick horse from the high end.
Hello from Lecanto Florida
Hello there!
Can you show the males that volunteer and work at the shelter? Ladies you do a great job!!!
I understand where the Farrier is coming from !!! My hubby wont go on a plane !! We said we would give him some drug to help him and he said I want to know if I am gonna Die !!!😚😗🤣🤣😂
no words
Thank you!
Pauly, write that book!! ♡♡♡
In Michigan we have many Amish, the ones that care for feet, are few and far between. Dont get me started on the care of the animals....😢
Your videos make me happy! I hope one day to come visit….
It would be nice if the Amish would send a couple of guys to shadow with a trained farrier like Pauly and learn how to shoe a horse correctly. Maybe then you wouldn't get so many of their horses with horrible hooves.
The Amish dont want to learn new things, for the most part. They want to do things the same way they have been done. Most of them dont see anything wrong with how they do things and have no interest in learning from us English and our worldly, sinful ways.
@@lauralake7430 They don't want to spend the money on something they consider as unimportant as an animal, either.
They have no interest in animal welfare. They don’t see them as having any intrinsic value. ❤❤❤🙌🏻
@@lauralake7430 In most ways I can't say I blame them!
Thank you for sharing.
Poor Lulu, she needs some love in her world
Write a book Paulie it would probably be a best seller and you’d be rich and never have to shoot another horse in your life
They have been abused...many of them😢😢😢😢
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello from Germany- sorry no subtittle
I can get subtitles. Maybe just not in the live?
There are subtitles if you press the settings button on the bottom right and choose auto translation.
Skecher is probably a Big Lick horse!!! The way his ankles look...
The horse with the lump maybe it's a lipoma? Obviously I watch alot of Dr. Pimple Popper lol
The blind pony horse sure is pretty hopefully she overcomes her fears of evetything eventually.
I pray her eyesight comes back in her left eye.
Just a suggestion, maybe you can go to your closest Amish and let them know that you will purchase the horses for an amount, you may be able to keep a few horses away from the auctions. Some Amish have ways of getting ahold of the English.
We have talked directly to some Amish before. They typically want as much money as they can get for the horse no matter it's condition and they believe that having them go through the auction is the best way to do that. Especially since the buyers/bidders get little to no hands-on with the horse to notice any problems they are not disclosing.
Hello from Santa Fe, NM
Hello there!
Draft mares are a little bit sketchy, but looking at these horses that Polly is shoeing or attempting tissue do not look like draft horses they look like possible buggy pullers and that is also Amish
You are spelling the female horses wrong its Mare, not Mayor (which a mayor is an elected official for legislature)
@@tammywooley2635 I just assumed autocorrect was changing "mare" to "mayor". I've seen a lot of comments with it spelled that way. I hate autocorrect. It's so dumb. 🙃
This OP is wrong. Draft or not, mare or not, horses that are trained with love to lift their feet will do it easily. If that training is neglected or done roughly, they won't.
Your farrier might appreciate a clean floor to work on; without having to waltz thru debris. Also, it might help him to wash up the horses hooves the night prior and keep them stalled until he arrives. Seems like there are enough helpers around to make his job easier.
Seriously? How very rude of you. I'm sure if and when they need your advice that they'll ask for it. I will never understand why people feel the need to be so nasty online.
You obviously have no idea how much work is involved in looking after these animals!! They are grateful for the help they get from volunteers and the jobs are endless. So a few little things like not having the floor swept for the farrier just don’t get done and Paulie completely understands and doesn’t expect it!!! It’s a workplace after all!!! Get a life!!!❤❤❤🙌🏻
You have obviously never been in stable or near a horse.
"Waltzing through debris" as you put it is part of working around horses and stables.
Please don't make horribly rude comments concerning things you know nothing about.
The rescuers at Pony Tails are the best at what they do,and pretty sure they have things in hand.
We cannot keep all of the horses stalled. We have about 5 inside for rehab already and only 10 stalls in total. We typically have 10+ on our list each time he comes out. We keep his area clean for what he needs to get done and sweep after each horse comes through if/when able. Thank you for your input!
@@PonyTalesRefuge Some people seem to think that everything should be clean but they have no idea how much is just normal. I know you do the very best for the horses, I have been in many stables that were far less clean. You keep doing what you are, what is best for the horses.
Hello Pony Tales, love you all. Glad to hear Pauly is on the mend. I think, like some of the other commentators, that Sketcher's may have been apart of the Big Lick. Terrible thing.
❤️you guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
To any naysayers out there!! If there is breath,THERE IS LIFE. King Jesus could walk on in and touch this babe!!! I believe it! Will you??? Stand! When everything else falls, continue to stand! Never give up preserving life! He's a babe! Let's see if we have anyone to stand and believe! I'm in! 💯% Just lost my mom unexpectedly...Yes my faith has been tried...Do I fall off and die or will I continue to stand? I choose life! ❤🐎❤️
Pauly, you would be disgusted at what the owners did to a mare that I brought from them, along with a half bed colt, the mare was a little over half bred of the breed I am addicted to (Cleveland Bays - partbreds for sporting - Id die fo a couple of pures, but barely a\grainy avvailable here in Aus.
They loaned us a vhs video (thats how long ago it was) to show how they got her to raise her feet high for her single and pairs harness and rtdden work. I was mortified to see them along with their farrier when shoeing her put largeish metal car hose clamps under the bottom of the heel or the shoe, up around the coronet band and tighten it up til she was fussy and annoyed about it all. There was NO chance in hell that was EVER happening in our hands. I posted the tape back to them as asked, didnt share it with any other CB or horse people (cos they knew they didnt thr right thing) as requested.... BUT they did not say dont take to RSPCA or rhe Area Animal Control ffor the council. so they got a copy and full report.
sorry for typintg being so bad - parkinsons tremors and this hasx taken over when im tired and fjull ot mirgraine.
Broke seems to be presenting like a big lick horse, they are ridden "uphill" as young as 2 years old, by big heavy men, and this is what happens then.
Never ceases to amaze me how fat and unskilled all the Big Lick riders are! It could be shut down within a year, according to the folks at Horse Plus Humane Society's channel. Let's hope it is!
Like your story
I cud go for a ride to Iowa:)
I'd read Pauly's book if he wrote one!
Its cool, sorry. I guess i am a huge nerd for noticing the spelling was wrong. My parents were very passionate about seeing school through and getting a diploma so i guess i got it from them.
Give them food while working on them please❤
Think Pauly should give a farrier clinic to the Amish. Am sure they want their horses to last as long as possible and if they take better care of their hooves, once they are ready to be replaced, hopefully you won't see so many hoof issues once you guys get them. Just a thought - am sure someone has a contact, even if it's an auction house, right? Hope that helps.
They are choosing NOT to hire a farrier. Pinching pennies costs in the long run wh I'm sure they know. As he said some are good others not so. Rather than a farrier we need a pastor to remind them God gave them stewardship over animals and that includes responsibility and care.
❤❤❤
Is it possible that LuLu's jaw deformity was cause by head trauma and has affected her vision and her hearing also?
Poor Horses that dont got good hovecare from their owners. It is realy shocking.
How long would it take that horses hoof to grow out with proper nutrition or you could trim it?
Prada reminds me of a German Shepard with their hips and how they walk :(
Some horse name ideas, melody destiny sunburst sunlight holiday first light sunbeam Moondance sunny buddy mender misty glider glimmer shine chime chooser wish fleet prover harmony swish ❤
Why would a kill buyer not want a blind horse? Serious question.
Technically, blind horses cannot be sent to slaughter. It happens all the time though.
I’m pretty sure “legally” he couldn’t ship a totally blind horse, and not across the border for sure. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
Yes. Legally they cannot, but it happens all the time.
Have you heard of Aculife lifewave patches for horses
I’m am curious because I really don’t know, why aren’t x-rays taken of the hooves as standard of care of every horse as SOP at intake. Are the x-rays with your machine expensive? I honestly don’t know. I know y’all care about the horses you take in so please don’t take this question as criticism.
We do not have the manpower and staff to x-ray every horse right as they come in. Once they go through their evaluations and quarantine, we are then better able to narrow down what we may be looking for. It's not so much a cost thing, as it is time and manpower.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. I wish that volunteers were more plentiful but if wishes were horses then no man would walk right? I’m way down in Texas but found out about your organization through Horse Plus in TN. I hope by viewing your videos and hitting the thumbs up button that is some help.
@@PonyTalesRefuge I wish so much I could volunteer with you, but I'm in northern Alberta. No green card, no place to stay. I'm looking for a similar place within a reasonable drive from here. All the best to you all there, and so much love to you for all that you guys give to those poor neglected and abused horses!
Maybe a horse chiropractor could help
Good thing we have one! :)
Can't you cast the the Belgian stallions leg? Or is he already fully formed????
Unfortunately, nothing can be done for him now. It likely could have been corrected we was a foal, but wasn't. Poor guy. :-(
@@PonyTalesRefugelook up Wizard of Paws show on BYU tv. Guy makes braces & prosthesis for all kinds of animals including horses. How much is all palominos?

Why would he pay 850. To get only 400. At the border?
He didn’t realize she was blind until he went to load her. So she was then “useless” to him.
I noticed when the horses seem jittery they are looking at the camera man.
Where is part 3
