Great review Cam. HH17 may the best and worst thing HH has released recently. I really makes their other premium offerings pale in comparison. We’d do better comparing the WHH17 to HH18.
I’m absolutely with you. Tomorrow night I’m going to blind HH17/HH18/WHH17 on a 30min quick stream to see what ends up happening. Not even so sure that the HH17 is necessary but either way I think it’ll be interesting to see how the WHH17/HH18 differ from each other.
I was fortunate to pick up the WHH 4th and 7th releases and they were around $250 each, but well worth the price. If you like high proof bourbon with a lot of depth and the consistency of 10W40 oil, you can’t pass it up. Just the likelihood of getting it in today’s bourbon crazy world is slim to none so I won’t get a chance to try the latest release so I’ll take your word for it. Cheers!
High aged whiskey is fine. I’ve got some great bottles. Every time I have something like 1792 Full Proof though, I think that is just about as good as bourbon ever really needs to be. It’s just right.
I got lucky enough to grab a HH18 @ srp but I haven’t opened it yet, a little discouraged after all the reviews so I’m interested to see your comparison
Sounds like it’s a palate preference issue. I’m personally not a huge ECBP fan, so this may be a winner
