I have got my dad's old 3800HSW which he paid $3800 AUD for back in 1979. About to start shooting competition with it after shooting my Winchester 101 for nearly 27 years! Awesome video to learn a bit about these guns. Thanks.

Wow, that was a blast from the past. I started comp clay shooting in the mid 70's with a Miroku ORE trap and then progressed to a 800W trap, both 30" F/F. I recall the "ringing" on closure of the action like it was yesterday. In a DTL/ABT squad there would be at least 3 Mirokus and maybe a Browning or a Shadow Indy.
100 bird DTL registered once a week and a few local "bale shoots" mid week in the summer months.
Happy days, nostalgia's not what it used to be!
    Keep the vids rolling Matt.👍

Hello Matt, I grew up close to the Lotus cars factory back in the 70s they had a small clay ground opposite the factory run by the workers social club, I remember going there as a young lad, and sometimes the guys from USAF Lakenheath would come, on one occasion one of the American lads let me shoot his new Miroku, someone asked him what he did in the air force he turned and said he drove a Phantom !!!!!! . from that day I have wanted to own a Miroku . I hope you will be able to help me with that very soon thanks Mervyn

Great video. Please could you consider a video reviewing the Japanese Winchesters - 101, 5500, 6500 etc. Imagine if they were still making guns now?

My Father still goes hunting with a Miroku Trap that he bought in 1973.By the years the woods were broken and replaced by custom made ones. If there was a way to send you pictures of the gun, hopefully you could provide details and help find parts of the gun..

You will be best going to a gunsmith; they may have to make parts, or if not, a gunsmith would be able to get the parts you need 😊
