Hello Matt, Another great “technical “ review on the Miroku 38 Trap / Sporter……your reviews to me always “fill the void” that is missing with other individuals that try to give a comprehensive and non-biased assessment of a firearm!
Miroku make superb guns. I just wish this trap model came with interchangeable recoil pads like the Browning inflex counterparts. Those big rubber ones are so crude and dated by comparison. It would make the ultimate all-rounder. Great review as ever. Thanks for posting.
Considering they know what the rear stock dimensions are for these models no reason they couldn’t produce a couple of retrofit options, the problem is that they keep all the Browning models mostly the same hence why the inflex pads are for the most part universal, where as I suspect the 38,70,60 etc in all it’s different guises have many variations in back end that would make the pads all need to be specific so as to not look a dogs dinner.
Excellent informative video which answered all my questions and made up my mind to go out and buy a Miroku Grade 1 Trap Gun as that was my budget and I am a novice. Thankyou for the excellent presentation and content 10/10 keep up the good work.
Another great review Matt. I have heard that Miroku will also be marketing an MK 60 Grade 5 with steel proof multichoke barrels, which is good news and I am sure you will be getting. I hope so and look forward to that review as well.
Thank you for your comment Richard. Yes indeed they made 250 grade 6 MK38 Sporters and 250 Mk70 Grade 6 game guns. I have actually owned what I believe to be the only 32" MK38 Grade 6 prototype too. Kind regards, Matt
Fantastic Review Matt. How does the 32 inch Grade 3 Trap handle? I bought a Grade 5 from you many years ago, and the customer experience was superb. Keep up the great content!
Again an excellent review. Due to lead ban I am thinking of buying the mk38 with interchangeable chokes for trap shooting. However I have a question related to the barrels convergence of the trap and sporting versions. Is the convergence different between the two versions, or only the stock measurements change (the stock measurements of my present trap gun are similar to the measurements of the mk38 sporting stock)? Regards.
Hey Matt, as you know it's all about how the gun fits you... As a tall 6' 4"... guy... which guns would lend themselves to a longer LOP (15" +).. appreciate any thoughts you have.. thanks
Hi matt, i see that in Australia they sell the exact same gun but the engraving is almost nonexistent, is there any reason for this or is it a different grade of gun?
What steps are necessary to acquire and have gun shipped to the USA? Interested in MK-38 Gr3 Sporter ( either 30 or 32 Inch).......What are the fees for purchase and shipment??? in dollars please!
@@PremierGunsDoveridge Thanks for your reply, I shoot a 686e and I'm looking at getting a gun with a higher comb and straight cast with a tram line on the top rib. Shooting some sporting and game Regards
Far better review with more accurate information, than one a certain other channel put out today. The least said about theirs, the better. Embarrassing for them.
Thank you for your comment Adam. I am not here to mudsling but I think the very least the viewer can expect from a professional review is accuracy. Kind regards, Matt

Great review Matt , I’m currently looking at buying a MK 38 trap grade 3 over here in Perth Western Australia, but am also looking at a Bettinsoli X Trail trap , what would your choice be as I can’t shoot any of them before I buy them and I’m new to trap shooting , any help from you or your subscribers would be a great help , I am currently using my Beretta silver pigeon for trap.
Thank you for your kind words. With the absolute utmost respect to Bettinsoli they are not in the same league as an MK38. There is no comparison in either build quality or durability. Kind regards, Matt

I'd wager simce browning is the bigger name they don't allow miroku to sell with all the same extras, a better gun for less money
