I refuse to believe that “Owen Wilson wow” isn’t the most goggled thing, should’ve been here for sure.
Its safe to say that these things were filtered by his people before even coming on here. Because I can think of far more controversial topics that this could have gone to.

@@xeon2773 it's a complicated story, and this person keeps bringing it up on everyone's comments (quite possibly as a troll,) but I believe it's true. I do keep in mind though that the woman he had the baby with was notorious for being very abusive towards men, and he might've done that to avoid having to be in contact with the woman. I try to keep an open mind about it. It doesn't seem like something he would do; he never did that for either of his other children so something may be up. I'd recommend searching for yourself to get the full story.
If this is the case, I feel bad for him, with it being so public. It's really no one's business but him and his daughter's. Still I want people to not get the wrong idea, and to take everything like this with a grain of salt rather than jump to conclusions. People judge things they know nothing about far too often.

Owen Wilson’s voice is so soothing. I first discovered him in Cars back when I was around 5 or 6 years old and he’s stuck with me ever since. His voice is basically my childhood.
I love the fact that he actually answers QUESTIONS.

I don't think his memory was that bad. Sure, there are some details he didn't remember quite well, but considering all the things he's done so far, I think he can be forgiven for what he missed.

You're probably right that he is chill, but in my opinion judging an actor by how they act in a PR event doesn't make much sense. An actor could come onto a show like this and pretend to be chill and you would have no idea if it is their real personality or not.

Owen Wilson is a wonderful actor with tremendous range and depth. I loved him in The Darjeeling Limited, Midnight in Paris, The Royal Tenenbaums, Starsky and Hutch and The Internship. Powerhouse of talent
Not to mention The Minus Man. Uncharacteristically dark for Mr. Wilson but he absolutely ’killed’ it. Great cast too.
Two real-life Owen encounters. Saw him running near my brother’s house in Dallas a few years ago. He was shirtless and was pretty ripped actually. Then met him in a hotel lobby in Santa Monica once and he was absolutely the nicest guy. Took a picture with us and chatted a bit. Such a wonderful human being.

This is the first time I’ve seen an actor bring up a movie “that wasn’t well received” and the fact that he’s going back into the genre to try again. In one sentence, he showed so much maturity. Usually, the only time “bad projects” are brought up is during a self-deprecating joke(which is fine!, this was just really refreshing)

What troubles has he been in? Never knew.
He has serious depression and attempted suicide. He was actually supposed to play the role of Rick Peck in Tropic Thunder, since the character is Ben Stiller's character's best friend. But they began shooting the movie shortly after Owen's suicide attempt, so they gave him time off for mental health and recast the role with Matthew McConaughey.

It is both odd and comforting to see Owen so casual these days. He's so type-cast as an awkward version of himself so to see him candidly out of character is refreshing.
My three favorite Wes Anderson movies are the first three that Owen wrote with him: Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and The Royal Tenenbaums. It's a shame that Owen didn't collaborate on more or write with someone else.
Writing is very hard and doesn't pay like the acting jobs he's offered.
The Haunting was my favorite haunted house movie for so long and still probably is in the top 3

@@directorjake He famously attempted suicide after Kate Hudson dumped him for a fling with Dax Shepard. He saw the paparazzi pics and did it. If I recall correctly, he was in a coma for awhile after that.

i met this man when he happened to come through my security station back when i was doing security screening at an airport. He's very polite and friendly. Even shy. Clearly not one of those weirdo 'celebs' who are out of touch with reality. Was saddened when i heard he was having emotional trauma. Looks like he's left that long behind. Very happy for him.

Owen Wilson is so chill and down to earth that I still am traumatized by his death in Anaconda. It solidified my fear of snakes coz I absolutely loved Owen as a kid.

I never really paid attention to Owen Wilson outside of seeing him in movies. I'm loving his whole vibe.
We need a movie with him as a yoga instructor or any part that involves inner consciousness and high spirituality.

To be fair, The cable guy had smaller acting parts for both of them - and Stillers parts were portraying the Menendez, I mean Sweet, brothers, who were only shown on TV within the movie.
Stiller directed it though of course.
