most child actors who consciously make the decision to become actors as children do end up quite successful both career-wise and mentally. when kids are forced into the industry by parents who are taken advantage of by agents who tell them their kid could be a star, they tend to end up looking at their child as a business rather than a dependent.

I think he's one of the few child actors that turned out to be a genuine and not completely eccentric guy. A guy that if you were to sit next to him a bar and chatted him up without fangirling, he'd just be pretty chill.
I think it helped growing up around amazing people like Maggie Smith, Richard Harris, Robbie Coltrane, Richard Griffiths, Michael Gambon and Alan Rickman.

Based on what I know about Harry Potter, this entire interview is hilarious because Harry Potter wasn’t very good at handling his fame either. So the guy that played our film version of Harry Potter being genuine and humble and avoiding social media is so fitting because the fictional character would probably have behaved the same way
Watch enough of his interviews, and you will see how much of Harry he has in himself. He truly was his character.
To me, he legitimately seems like he's just a down to earth and chill dude overall. Love their personality.

Funny. When people think humility their feeling says it's someone looking at the ground all the time, taking small steps, not crossing their legs aka taking as little space as possible. One of the definitions is not to to be more than you are. When you know something, wait for your turn to speak and say it, when you don't know something, don't pretend to know it.

It’s crazy, that he’s only in his 30s. Just another reminder how young he was, when he played Harry Potter. He seems like an amazing person. Very down to earth, very nice and friendly. Glad, he managed being famous so greatly. I can only imagine how stressful it must’ve been sometimes…

Growing up with HP it’s nice to see Daniel become so humble and kind despite his fame. When he thanked Olivia, it shows that he cares and acknowledge people around him. He also answers questions respectfully!

It's so impressive to me that he can sit in front of a camera and talk about paparazzi calling a coffee shop he visited to ask about his order while sounding so casual and chill about it. I don't know what kind of a person I'd be if I spent my adolescence under the spotlight like this, but I doubt I'd ever come close to being as grounded and gracious as Daniel Radcliffe has been in every interview I've seen him in.

Beans I was actually thinking it was asking who he supported politically. As for JKR, he stated that he disagreed with her, but never got any more vitriolic than that, which is a very admirable show of maturity on his part, I would say.
He knows he was one of THE most important characters in pop culture history and i love that he embraces that instead of having a big ego and being annoyed about his character being more important than his own name. That shows a lot of love for his craft and some massive respect for the character.

Always the questions about the cast still being friends make me think about high school friends, but even more bonded. Like they went to school together, they went their own ways after that, but are still friends and check in on life events and things

I can see why the question about him quitting Potter riled him. Around the 4th-5th film there were a lot of rumours about whether the main trio would stick with the films or if they would be recast. They were not always treated that respectfully by the press/fans, and a lot of times it probably would have been easier to quit. The fact they committed to stay all the way to the 8th film was a big deal.
