Take care of yourselves, without you two this hobby would suck! :)
Thanks Dale!
Mr. Phillips I hope you and your family feels better. You are the reason why I got into this hobby. Your enthusiasm and kiddish excitement inspired me to buy my first plane and share this hobby with my daughter. Thank you.
Thank you, and we are both nearly 100% - finally ;)
I bought a second one of these and I have mastered flying this thing . Doesn't like crosswinds for landings . No rudder...
yep, I find myself trying to cross control to slow down the landings, but there's not that much rudder authority from my nose gear mod.
Looking good nice repairs
Thanks William!
I can’t thank you enough for making this channel. Brian Phillips RC is my go to channel for my newfound addiction and the veterans at my flight field are amazed of how quickly I’m advancing. They actually come to me now with questions about setting up radios and receivers, new technology, and that’s because of your channel. 👍🏻
But….I don’t remember which plane video you did when you explained how to do the cornhole maneuver!
Just Throw Both The Rudder + Ailerons Sticks FULL The Same Way, Either Right or Left While In A Up Attitude of 45 to 90 Degrees, Let It Snap-Spin A Few Turns, Then Apply Opposite Ailerons To Relevel... Good Luck! 😜😎
Thanks, and so glad you're finding what you need here on the channel. We're glad to have you here with us!!!
As for the Cornhole...not sure when we "started" doing cornholes...it's kinda just "always" been there - LOL ;)
I pray your whole family gets well. Great job on your channel. Always enjoy watching your flying and comments with your camera crew.
Thanks Kevin! We're already getting way better, but my voice is still not 100%.
All good. Get your rest. We will be here when you are ready. Love your videos and the most excellent camera work.
Thank you! We've been doing it. I haven't laied around and watched four college football games, like I did Saturday, EVER.
The F15 is a great little plane I still enjoy flying it and seeing you take it up again. Glad y’all are feeling better!
Nice!
Must admit this is a good jet. Was my first edf. Its very robust and can handle belly landings with ease. The foam just seems denser and better quality than other price range jets. I added some heli tape to the nice squared underbody and it lands nice and flat. My F16 64mm doesn't belly land as well and seems more fragile.
Thanks for the info. Was the twin 64mm the Arrows offering?
@@BrianPhillipsRC my F16 is the single edf by eflite. Its quite rare. I managed to find a last stock item for a good price. Lovely American flag colour scheme. Exact same unit as the f15 just slightly lighter.
I fly the hell out of this plane. Since I’ve had it I’ve put well over 200 packs through it. I’ve been through two sets of gear and recently pulled them off and hand launch and belly land. I love this plane!! I also moved my elevator to the inside hole … I like the inside hole.
Me too ;)
Finally got mine-- cant wait to get it up
Good luck!
I'm on my 3rd F-15 Eagle, the first two crashed due to pilot error and a servo flame out, both were destroyed, the new one has about 10 flights on it, running a Motion RC Eagle A3 V2 gyro in it. I like this gyro over the safe select, very easy to setup and you can control your gains from the transmitter. I also have the Arrows RC Marlin 64 mm edf, I upgraded the fan to a high out put 70 mm, running a 12 blade fan, its running on a small 6S battery from Flex Innovations. I also have the Arrows RC Mini Viper 50 mm edf, this little jet is a blast to fly, no gyro needed, it's fast with no bad habits......
COOL!
You are so informative, I have the nx6 and the f15 and your step by step of the controller setup was invaluable to me. Like you said I paused and rewound the video a million times so I could have the exact information. Lol your 1:30 video took me 2:30 to view
EXACTLY why we do this ;) Glad you're with us...so much online is like "see what we did" and they never talk about WHAT they did or WHY they did it that way - but just remember when you're getting these planes, we do get punished by UA-cam for long format, so click our link and you'll help get us back for any of that little bit of help you found ;)
Wow Brian nice house I love your house that has a run so you can fly jets glider in the middle of the sunset 🌅 you know I have a house like that I could spend 15 hours flying jets gliders stuff like that. But I love it nice. And good flying the F-18.
Thanks! We love it here too, and when not filming and in the right conditions, I'll fly all afternoon or evening too ;)
😂. 4 weeks later I’m on plane number five.
600 mm ultrix is on its way!!!
This’ll mos def be my first Jet though.
Love the vids Brian + camera crew 💯!
AWESOME! Glad you're moving quickly through the ranks!!!
Good job Ice man. Yep we was sick all week too.
Sorry to hear that. We're just finally getting mostly better. I was a fun run of whatever it was... hope you're getting past it now too!
@@BrianPhillipsRC yes much better wasn't too fun for me man. I could tell you was a tad bit under the weather. Glad your back.
Glad you both are feeling better! Summer/Fall colds are the worst! I really like this little guy. Haven't bought it yet, but it's on the Wishlist! Happy Fall to you both!
Thanks Dave, and we're both getting close to 100% already - thanks!
2:18 My butt puckered just a little bit here.
yeah, just a bit ;)
Brian Phillips ASMR will push this channel to new heights
:) Thanks ;)
This vid is about 3 hours shorter than I was hoping for!! LOL!! Hope you all feel better soon!! Keep up the great videos!!
🤣🤣🤣
More coming soon ;)
I hope you do some of those Arrows 50mm EDFs soon. I'd like to see how they fly the Phillips way.
I would love too, but they won't reply to my emails.
@@BrianPhillipsRC glad they did!
Brian I have this edf jet and absolutely love it! I have hand launched it tons I grip it in front top of the canopy and pull it upward and forward it goes every time unless you drag it into your side got swing it wide. I also have flown it with gear and I really enjoy landing this jet on it gear!!😃💯👍I did set more travel in the elevators and ailerons for a wild roll rate! One thing I did thats super cool is add functional scale rudders. This jet with rudders will do sweet snap rolls with no aileron imput and the knife edge flight is fun. Definitely recommend the duel rudders. I really enjoy how this plane flys and lands without stalling ever! I have never had a bad landing with this jet but I have found if you belly land this thing at any alpha angle it rocks forward stabbing its nose cone into the ground and breaking it!😲😵gota slide it in level on its belly, its too fragile but in my f15 I put carbon fiber into the nose cone and whole front end of jet and now its very tough! Thanks for getting back to this little sweet heart! When i fly at the park near by this jet is quite often most admirers favorite plane.
SWEET! Thanks for the pointers on the belly landings too! I still haven't done it ;)
You have a sore throat feel better soon. Not a bad price.
Getting over it, whatever it was...it was a fun couple weeks ;)
Great job guys! Feel better soon!
Thanks Gary - already getting close to 100% ;)
One of the best jets in my fleet! I've had mine over three years and can't count how many flights I've logged on her.
I better get another as a backup before HH discontinues them.
I haven't heard about such plans to discontinue, since it's a great plane.
@@BrianPhillipsRC
Let's hope not eh?
Your the reason why I started to fly keep the good work up, got myself a mini apprentice and I'm already looking for another plane, the misses isn't happy 😂😂
where can I buy it
Thanks SickstyOne
Links in the Description for you Vlad
Awesome bird Nice flying Brain Great job as always Camera Crew 🔥👍✌️
Hope you guys get to feeling better and back to normal soon 🙏✌️
Thanks Erric!
I just bought the f 18 blue angle can’t wait to put together, looks pretty quick !!! Wish me luck on landing just need to find a long runway lol
Good luck! Gotta be nice to your packs!!! Get as HIGH C as you can afford!!!
I have a 30 c and 50 c is that for quick power the higher the c
I don’t have this plane yet, I’m thinking I should though. Brian I’m scared to count how many planes I have lol Glad you guys are feeling better. I’ve been going through your old videos, really great content you guys! Thank you for all you do for us ❤️
Don't count...just fly. Soon enough you'll have less or more...if she asks, just say, "I thought it was 5 planes - Hehehehe"
Good luck!
@@BrianPhillipsRC I don’t have a Sheila anymore. More planes for MEEE!! LOL
Ya know the crafts stores carry tons and tons of water based touch up paint for cheap like 2 dollars of less and you bring in like the canoy or nose cone and match the paint you need...i do that all the time and crash scars and bruises are hardy noticable anymore
Awesome video. I recently got this plane. But I'm still a beginner so I got a cheapish volantex trainstar ascent and also the E flite valiant. So I'm hoping to try those before flying the F15. Have been learning on the little eachine warbirds and love them. Great channel for everything 👏
Sweet! Keep at it...just takes time.
@@BrianPhillipsRC Yeah totally, so looking forward to getting into jets after seeing whats out there the f16t and the viper to name a few.
Sounds pretty amazing. 😎
The plane maybe ;)
You know, I actually found that it was easier to fly the F-16 70 (Thunderbird). Of course, I was flying the F-15 as a PNP, but still the Thunderbird felt more locked in to me.
Really? I've heard this before, but I never thought the F-16 was all that easy to fly, largely since I never could get the CG back far enough. We are re-reviewing it (with new AR631....fyi) and I hope to have advanced to a point where I can really show it better than before ;)
Awesome! Can't wait!
I fly my T-Bird with a Gens Ace 3300 60C. I don't actually do much High Alpha with mine, but in terms of flying a pattern the Thunderbird just seems a little bit more locked in. Maybe it's the Ball links as opposed to clevisis on the F-15. The Eagle flies good, but the T-Bird just seems more comfortable to me. Have you flown the 64mm F-16? Now I WILL say that the 64mm F-16 is not as easy as the F-15.
Wow. God is good. I was sick too bout two days ago(sore throat and cough) but feel normal now. I’m very grateful to God y’all are okay(or still recovering steadily)😃
He is good, and yes, we're getting better.
Cool video. I have both the f-15 and it's sister plane f-16 64mm like them both slot. The f-15 has better rails.
I would have liked to get the little F-16 too, but I was told the F-16 was a bit of a turd????
Your right it is. You have to really have to set it up especially the rods to the tail. Or it just nose dives. But once they're set then it flys great. The F-15 is more stable. But the 16 can do high Alfas.
Love that Jet I crashed it before still flies good thanks for the video 👍
You're welcome, and agreed - great little plane!
Brian sounds like u have cold. Please take care of yourself Bro!
Almost over it 100%, thanks!
For sure that's the F15 "covid" audio edition
LOL nice!
Probably my favorite jet. Old Air Force guy here so I'm a little biased, lol
It is very cool. I'd like to get a bigger F-15
@@BrianPhillipsRC and I'd like to see you fly it!!
I HAVE THIS JET ITS FUN AND FUN TO FIX LOL
Really is! Goes BACK together nicely too - LOL ;)
Lol yes it does!!!
I need this 1 asap 🗣💯
Do it ;) F15 bit.ly/30RrnlG
What do you think of drones. I have really only been into rc airplanes for the past 5 years or so, but picked up my first drone yesterday. So far it's fun and you don't need near as much room. You should do one on the channel!
We've done drones and and will continue occasionally covering drones. Thanks Jake!
@@BrianPhillipsRC I must have missed those vids. I'm going to go on the hunt now haha!
Great job guy's! I'm on my third F15, too fun!
The Arrows Marlin is imo as good if not better with flaps and rudder!
Please review it.
I'd gladly review any of the Arrows stuff, but they won't reply to my emails???? Don't know why
👍
thanks!
do you ever sneak across the street for some free corn on the cob? ;-)
Across the street is field corn. Sweet corn is the stuff you'd want to eat, and it's delicious! The stuff across the street would be used in animal feed or large scale milling operations, like for beer and other popular items.
You mentioned it may be possible to put reverse thrust on it with different Rx....Could you expound on that, I would love to do so on my F-15! Thanks, -Dr Ron
Yes, Avian ESC, and you CAN add thrust reverse.
My bad quality on my side are you still raspy... thank's i KO my rebel and it flys on 4 s....ill purchase to have a replacement vs 64mm to 70mm is it feasible vs. A new rebel fuselage 50.00 ... you know upgrade even with the replacement of a Avion as well being i have NX 8.....that i learned much with thank's to your channel 👍👍
Thanks again Crazy Aces!
Have this jet and I love it! How do you deal with the bad turning radius of the nose wheel?
You can change the hole position on the servo, if I recall.
👍👍👍
thanks robin
The manual also recommends a 3S 2200. Never tried the 3S....anyone?
Now that you mention it, maybe I didn't on the maiden???
@@BrianPhillipsRC have you tried 3S?
Flew a 3S this morning. Very sluggish...full throttle needed. Stick with 4S.
Appreciate the video , I am very aware how hard it is to make a video when your not 100%. I just lost a Arrows F15 National Guard Livery due to the left horizonal and vertical vibrating loose in flight. Parked in deep in a swamp so it was a total loss. The question is would you recommend this as a replacement? ✔⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🎬🎥👍🗽
Tough call. Depends on if you got this F-15 as a trainer, and if you're now advanced a bit past it, or if you're still working to master this step.
That would be what I would base my decision making on.
Hey Brian. I've come across something I'm betting you or some followers can help me with. On the Eflite Eagle, it comes with a factory installed AR630. Is it possible to change/adjust the AS3X rates? I know I can't access them to adjust. Help guys. Thanks.
As installed, in the BNF, you may have to UPDATE FIRMWARE, then there is supposed to be a FACTORY RESET...then you can go in and change it like any ordinary PNP installation.
Is this a good hand launcher and belly lander?
I think it's fine for that, even better actually, but since I can I'll use wheels up wheels down.
@@BrianPhillipsRC if it's still available next year I may get this as my first edf.
Thanks for the effort Brian and c/c, great video but I can tell you are not a 100%, hope you are feeling better soon. Richard from north of the border.
Thanks Richard!
You da man Brian and crew love your video's...Hey Bra...
Raspy voice what's up bro? Shoot ill buy one if you needs some cough syrup 🤪 thumbs up 2 times and purchase will A 70mm fit in it pro ?
The cough syrup makes me sounds this way ;( Feeling better now, but voice is still not quite 100%
Hope Y'alls Are Feelin Better! 😰😷 Hey Brian Why Don't You Buy A 99cent Can Of Grey Primer & Spray Paint That Nose? 😜😎
Caz I don't care enough - LOL ;)
This hobby is depressing me big time. I’m so inconsistent with landings on my EDFs and I’m contantly breaking things on my jets, particularly the nose of the jet from stalling it... there is no margin for error like you have with a prop plane. I’ve got so much money invested in these jets I feel like if I stop trying all of my efforts are down the drain and I become a quitter. The hobby would be more enjoyable if I just stayed with prop planes. Any suggestions?
Get your CG back or you will be very frustrated. I used to have a lot more trouble, but when you get the CG back (almost tail heavy) you'll be better able to flare.
Landing EDF jets is an art that is very tough, especially for newer pilots. Don't be discouraged...get better! It takes a lot of failure to find success on this. Practice makes perseverance (not PERFECTION - another lie of this world).
You CAN do it...but if you're not ready, just relax, enjoy your prop planes and there's ZERO shame in working that out first. Get a tri-cycle plane and fly the wings off it....then keep working the system.
Good luck - DON'T give up.
Take the cover film off the battery checker IMMEDIATELY
I could, and should!
17
Thanks Tim.
Lol.. I just built it.. finally.. after 6 months I am letting Tom Cruise out of the closet
LOL
I appreciate the video on this jet.
But dude, go get some more rest. Your poor voice, you sound like the God Father of RC.
Hard to keep a good team down. Go enjoy a healing beverage.
We’ll all still be here when you’re both completely better. God bless.
We are feeling better, but you're right...fortunately, we did get quite a bit more rest this weekend.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I’m glad to hear that. Health first Sir.
I just seen something that will make you feel better.
E-flite V1200 1.2m 140+mph
A club record of 159mph supposedly.
Or the E-flite V900.
Not for this old man. But would love to see you flying this one. What a beautiful plane. Just has extreme written all over it.
