@@harryjaggardtravel It’s hilarious to see white people getting excited, being dramatic and calling it “chaotic” when they see 10 people on the streets of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 (because it’s not a “white” people majority country) and not having a problem with a place like New York City that’s literally chaotic (epitome of chaos) and filthy and dirty (with stinking roads covered in garbage and urine all over the streets and stations and shocking traffic because it’s a so-called developed country with majority white people). Also, it’s not hot in countries like Australia when the temperature goes up to 40 degrees (Celsius) giving you skin cancer. That’s perfect weather to sunbathe at 1pm but it’s too hot in Sri Lanka when it’s not even 28 degrees (Celsius). Same as having an accent. It’s classy, sexy, completely understandable and acceptable when white people have accents but it’s unclear, strange and can’t understand when a coloured person has an accent. LMAO 🤣 I’m not racist but…… 😂

Sri Lanka has double the per capita income of its neighbours and is the richest in South Asia. That is why it is so developed infrastructure wise. It has a small population and literacy rate is similar to the Western world. Due to tropical climate, it is super green like Malaysia. It is a different league!! Currently it is going through some economy crisis because it highly depends on Tourism (pendemic & strict govt control). Things will go back to normal in couple of years. I will visit this year and follow your footstep.

kandy is the last kingdom of Sri Lanka.The Temple of the Tooth is the palace of the last kingdom of Ceylon.The left tooth relic of Lord Buddha resides there.

The last kings of Sri Lanka were from South India. Not Singhaleses. They were of Nayak Telegu Malayali heritage. Dravidians.

Ali aka biceptor was right. The hospitality is amazing. So friendly and helpful as well as super nice. They definitely appreciate the tourists they encounter. Tip away my friend, it's reward is deserved. A class.

Watching this on my lunch as normal! Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 looks amazing and so beautiful. It’s on my list of places I want to go in 2023. Be interesting to know how safe Asia is as a whole for a solo female traveller. May even vlog it, you’ve inspired me lol! Once again, great vlog Harry. ☺️

It's safe for tourists but not for locals 😂
There was a lady vlogger who did this a few years ago. She’s actually going all over the world solo. My advice is perhaps pair up with another traveller because while generally safe, there can be a few annoyances.

@Imran Yusof, yes, and most of the time videos are uploaded with the both of them in it at one place and they’re somewhere else……..lol. I believe at one point, one uploaded a video shown in Pakistan, while both were somewhere else, Columbia, SA and Lebanon. I believe Luke is there also, but his latest videos shown are from Pakistan still eating cheese paratha……..lol!

Hi Harry, I am enjoying watching you and the boys travelling around Sri Lanka. Re your visit to New England and your purchase of the North Face jacket. I was involved in the fashion industry in the UK for the first 20 years of my working life. This is how it goes, North Face would give a factory in Sri Lanka 10k metres of fabric to make 5k garments depending on how NF had worked out the costing of the garment. There would always be an allowance for faulty fabric and errors in production. Also the factories would lay, and cut the fabric in such a way to get approximately 5/10% extra garments. This, back in the days was called "cabbage" or over cuts. The factories were allowed to sell these on, providing the manufacturers tickets had been
cut out. Most of them turned up on market stalls or discount shops. So I believe that the jacket you purchased was a genuine jacket with purhaps a very minor fault, or maybe just an over cut. Still very good value for the money paid. There is always a chance of being a first copy, but there is no reason to cut the tickets on a copy.
I hope you find this information enlightening, enjoy your travels, I might just see you in India when it opens up again, my wife and I have been going there since 2007. Love the people, food and the country. Take care Peter and Sue. 🙏🏴🙏

I would rather use the word "inexpensive" as opposed to "cheap." A dollar may go a long way there, but for locals same deal might not be that affordable given socioeconomic conditions. So, I would be mindful of local audience. Anyway, that rich blue color shirt is gorgeous, and for some reason that deep blue color makes Harry complexion look brightened up a little. Or so, I think.

Kandy looks a great place, green and clean. I loved the ambience of the city. People are also very nice. And don't be sorry for comparing SL and Pakistani food, I love it. When you go to India, you will also find the same food there too. Asian food is a common heritage of the region. Samosa, roti, paratha, biryani, chai, you will find em everywhere :)
Compared to India I found people in Pakistan more friendly.

I have visited that place and it was soo awesome and you can get an idea about the spiritual side of the life and how you can apply buddhist teachings to your life.. Also Ahangama itself really beautiful.. cool beaches and soo many things to do.. Make sure you check that place out if you are planning on visiting galle.. cheer Brother🙏

Harry, Alli the man seems not has taught you that saying 'Machan' to anybody is to be avoided since it sounds pritty odd. It is a word used among friends who are perticularly young. Still you can use the word to those who are at around your age.( Machan= Massina= Brother in law [the meaning proper] Machan=Frind[More colloquial] )

Welcome to sri lanka brother 🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰. when entering the temple, everyone is wearing white cloths. Its normal in sri lanka and It's like a ritual. We believe that its very simple and it shows the peace. Simply whites cloths are sign of peace. Thats why everyone weares the white cloths when entering the temple. I hope this will help you a lot.

"Suba udesanak" (good morning) is a formal way to greet another person, and more often used by tv presenters. If you want to sound more like a native sinhalese speaker, you can simply ask "kohomada" (how are you?).
