- In this video I explore Colombo for the second time. I wandered around the Viharamahadevi park searching for an old friend. Then I made my way to Galle Face where I had some delicious Sri Lankan food.
As the Port City of Colombo is open for tourists now I had to take a look and I must say that project is impressive!

Nana's at Galle Face. It is a famous place. Started by a disabled man in a wheelchair almost 35 years ago. Just with humble sandwiches almost like spicy French toast and grown since. At peak, it was the only stall in Galle Face. I don't know about it now but 20 years ago they used to do Tandoori BBQ chicken in Naan bread. It was absolutely brilliant. That Rauf dude has been there with Nana's for donkeys years.
Great to see you in Colombo,my favourite city ,a city close to my heart ,the good times I had there are etched in my memory and it will be forever in my memory and all my very best friends are from that country and everyone of them more precious than the famous sri Lankan gems. I was also happy to see you in my favourite places ,the park, the galle face... places I had been to with my friends. It was good to see you in these places...its a pleasure to travel with you Tim. Thanks for the masterpiece.

Pro tip - If you don’t find Uber or Pickme & you don’t know what’s the local price for the Tuk Tuk, simply put down your location in Google maps and find the distance (KM) and multiple it by 100. Example:- From Viharamahadevi Park to Galle Face Green it’s 3.5 KM X 100= Rs.350 the actual cost, yes you were charged double 😅

It's one of my favorite countries so I agree!
I first went to Sri Lanka back in 1979 and I worry about the Chinese being so prevalent in this country. Its an extreme country personnality wise. People are very friendly and poor but they feed their poor like they have done for the last hundred years and possibly longer. I was about to take my children there but the Tsunami hit and i stayed in Australia.thank you for the tour
You think the country is poor!! However I noted that Sri Lankan people own their houses and not mortgage and paying mortgages like in Europe , America or Australia. In fact all people from colombo to out of colombo to very expensive/mega expensive to average to cheaper houses are bought out right. I think SL is actually richer in many ways n food don’t seems to be an issue. You give wrong information as even poor people still eat well.

We have good primary healthcare system
Our literacy is more than 90%
Average sri lankan living standed is very high when compare to other south asian countries
