      Thank you Rachael! Your very educational and informative! I have had an aquariums since I was ten years old constantly. That is going on 43 years. Ive always had a fresh water community tank. And a 120 gallon tank with lionhead, Ranchu, and red cap oranda's. But in the last year Ive learned a ton of things from you I've never known. Thank you for a wonderful vlog, I also like Joey from King of DIY. You both are leaders in the industry.

    Wow,how have I not seen your videos before now?!?
    I’m a fanatic about nutrient dense foods for myself and my animals,and don’t know very many people who can relate to my desire to keep things species appropriate and free of fillers and garbage.
    I feed predominantly live and frozen foods,but a grazing option that’s quick and easy for busy days is a must.
    In Canada it’s harder to get certain things(like repashy),but I’m going to try and get my hands on some.
    Very happy to have found this.
    Thank you🙏🏻❤️

Thanks much for the videos :) Loving the videos of the plecos I think I need me a book of them all lol. I almost forgot to ask what is the fish at 22:38 top right on the rock alone? Looks like a tiny pleco kind of.

      I don't have a specific list. Each of the formulas says what sort of diet it replaces and choices can be made that way., or by looking at the ingredients. The fish at 22:38 is a Gastromyzon viriosis- a hillstream loach.

    first, i love the videos they're both extremely informative and highly entertaining.
    Last saturday i bought what was listed as an L066 king tiger, but after putting some photos on facebook a lot of people were saying it looks more like a L134 Leopard Frog.
    I havent had much noticable luck with feeding the little fella though, ive offered tetra flake, hakari frozen bloodworm and two types of hakari sinking wafers as well as various veggies.
    I was considering ordering some Rapashy but am uncertain what type to get. Can you offer any insight? Any help would be really appreciated.

    Aromatic and pungent = very stinky in Rachel speak. lol I've been looking into ordering this, but in other videos I've seen it looked a lot more complicated to make. Add boiling water - stir - yeah, not so hard. Thanks!

    Hi Rachel, you mentioned gelatin. I make a home made snail gel that uses Knox gelatin. Is that not a good idea? Thanks!!

    • @RachelOLeary
      @RachelOLeary  7 років тому

      I did that forr many years, it is not necessarily bad but the binder is not very digestible

      Rachel O'leary ok, thank you! Is there a Repashy that I can use for fish, shrimp, snails, Cory cats? Thanks!!

    • @RachelOLeary
      @RachelOLeary  7 років тому +1

      The bottom scratcher is pretty terrific, as is the soilent green- both have fantastic ingredients and the fish and shrimp (and snails) tear them up

    Sorry. Another question! Can snails eat this, like the snais I just ordered from you? If so, what kind of Repashy do you suggest?
    Also, what kind of Repashy are you feeding the cats? Is it the same kind the snails would eat?

    • @RachelOLeary
      @RachelOLeary  7 років тому +1

      Absolutely. If you got nerites or apple snails the answer is yes. Which cats? the habrosus were eating the invertivore- bottom scratcher, I believe.

    how long do you leave the food in the tank or at least how good is it in there till it should be removed?

    • @RachelOLeary

      I have left it as long as 3 days (to test if it gets fungused), but generally it gets eaten within the first day.

      @@RachelOLeary I just could not help but go Teen boy when you said it.
      Hey I have to say with all the respect and love we have for you guys I just made a post on facebook (Trade Ejuice for a blender so I can make fish food) and not 2 minutes later a local fish person posted an old 70`s blender (the ones that have glass mixing containers) and he will bring it by tomorrow and we are going to make our first Bristle Nose food.
      We truly appreciate the video. I do have 1 question. So we have been cutting a lot of drift wood for tanks, the legs for my desk, etc... Should I mix in say 5% to the mix for digestion?
