Hi Jennifer! So glad you enjoy Sweden. To bad it's the wettest Winter in ages. Hope you have a safe Winter and I wish you a great holiday. It's not every house you get furniture and chainsaws with the purchase, usually if it's an estate or summer house you get some furniture and thing for the garden.
I'd love to live there and appreciate your video. Vermont is dark and cold 6 months of the year and so love any country where folks love winter and are outdoor people!
Thank you for your warm and insightful feedback... very informative and inspiring... looking forward to move up to Sweden in the future;)) Sunny regards from Spain 🇪🇸

Not if you burn with heat and burn some aspen wood in the wood pile. Pine is good, spruce is better, they are slow bugning wood and keep the fire at a even temperature. Good luck. 👍

This is beautiful 😊 I'd love to live in Sweden in a cottage in the woods someday. I'm exploring what's on my front door first, walking around the UK from Norwich to Scotland and back down the west coast then round the bottom and back to Norwich. 🙂

Furniture is rarely included. Most of the time it's included when someone owning the house has died and the relatives don't want to go through the hassle of selling off all the stuff. Properties on the countryside does more often come with some tools in the shed. Sometimes even with a decent traktor. And sometimes things are just there to sweeten the deal :-P I wouldn't do a house that isn't connected to running water and electricity, but I would do one that use firewood for heating. So the "Sotare" can show up a few times a year to inspect that shimney. It has to be approved by the "Sotare" before you can burn wood. One advice would be to check if the shimney passed previous inspections because if it didn't it might be too poor to even fix. 20k punds is a pretty good price I think, and it's very much dependant on the location. If it's located in a town for that price, don't even bother because there's a reason why people don't want to live there and you'll find that out sooner or later the hard way. 2000 sqm size property is pretty common, even in the towns.
Hej Jennifer, great video! Hemnet is indeed very addictive. And it is a very good site with it's criteria to select. Although I miss the floorplans and land registry. I'm looking in the same price range as you did. Over here in Holland I find myself overrun by people, cars and noise. And since the first lockdown last March (we're currently in our second one) I've been looking for an affordable and quiet cottage in Europe. That journey has led me to Sweden! And Kalle Flodin has led me to your channel. The tips you gave are spot on, and always, always checkout the house yourself and read the legal pack (yes I've watched loads of homes under the hammer) The bidding and realtor work quite similar in Holland. Anyway, really nice to see your son helping out. And looking forward to the next video! Greetings from Holland, Alexandra
Hope you find somewhere to escape the people, cars and noise Alexandra! It’s certainly been interesting following Kalle’s story, especially with Christine joining him

Being polite ! Thats sold the place for me already. I simply don't belong or was brought up , to live in THIS Britain. I've had enough. Great videos , tak !
Call a ”sotare” to check your chimney sweep.. You can Google: Sotare and city/village name.. They should be able to tell you about your Wood stove too and how to use It.. ❤️😊
Fantastic, myself and my husband would love to move to sweden in the next couple of years we are from Scotland..... will have to see how Brexit effects it all. We are saving now for s place like you we want to be in.the country. Good luck you seem to be enjoying it so far !
Here, in New Zealand, we usually have a solicitor to handle the legal aspect, probably similar to the UK. You mentioned mosquitoes, we have Sandflies which reside in mountainous bush/forests waiting for any mammal to come along! They're horrible. Rural Sweden sounds gorgeous and can imagine how you'd love it.
There are ppl you can hire to aprove the building, a so called "besiktning" of the property and if there are any major issues with the building wich the person selling the house now about but did not tell you about, the seller is in trouble
Thanks for sharing! We badly want to start looking for a cottage in sweden aswell, doing the thinking and dreaming process first. Thank you for giving a a peek in how it'll be
One tip is to get a professional inspection. They’ll be able to tell you what the problems are (no houses are entirely problem free) and even if there are no serious problems they can tell you what the potential issues might be in time and what kind of renovations you might want to do in the future. Yes, it will cost you but it’s great to get the document with full details. The real estate agent can usually set you up with a good local inspector.
Hmm, that part about the chimney sweep (inspection) seems a bit strange. According to Swedish law you have to have regular inspections of your chimney and the previous owners ought to have records of this. I'd ask for it if I were you. But I'm also fairly sure you can get in touch with your local "kommun" to ask for the details around this topic. Found some info about it (in English) which might be useful: www.sekelskifte.se/en/product/facts-info-chimney-sweeping Good luck!
I’ve been so excited for this video. I’m being hemnet but don’t see anything that is as good a price as yours that isn’t very north of Sweden. I’ll keep looking!! Thanks again
It’s just something to be aware of for the summer months, that’s all. As I think I mentioned in the video, when we went and stayed by the lake in August, we never had any problem with them
@@lph7369 you need to be. I love Sweden and the Swedes. It seems like the most idyllic place in the summer with all its lakes but unfortunately it's not an option for me because of the mosquitos. They are numerous and super aggressive. No aimlessly flying about.... they are straight in! Its definitely worth testing it out on a holiday first.
I would really love to move to Sweden. It seems like such a fantastic country. Most of my favourite people are also Swedish. And I'm feeling less and less Welsh every day. :( Unfortunately, I don't think it's on the cards for a while yet, but this was a very useful video!
On blocket.se theres many firewood sales. How can deliver too you. Often birch wood. Spisved is it called in sweden if you want too use it too an stove. Pannved, is it called for use in an open fireplace. Good luck
The uk you do not have to use a solicitor you van do it all yourself . But solicitor keep a track of the paperwork does the registration with land registry. Keeps eye to surveys does searches . Generally if a mortgage is involved in the purchase then a solicitor act as a guarantor for the money they hold the money on your behalf and the banks behalf they bring it all together. Its a safety net.
The buyer has an absolute investigation responsibility for things that can be seen during an extensive inspection. Therefore when people buy a house in Sweden they always normally hire a building inspector that looks at everything that you might miss. He also usually have an insurance if he/she miss something. The cost is a 5-15000 SEK depending on where the house is and how big it is. The result is also a useful tool for haggling the price Consider that you can basically go anywhere you want and pick berries and mushrooms. And if you like fishing it is usually very cheap unless in certain places, like 200 SEK for a year. No hunting though or cutting down trees unless its on your property
Hello Jennifer, good to see you are enjoying Sweden, I have been here for 32 years now, live in Stockholm (town centre). I was born and raised in Manchester. Been thinking about buying a small house for a while but a bit scared about hayfever and don't like loads of flies haha. Was looking at the south of Sweden, less snow etc but it appears to be a bit cheaper the further north you get
I guess it will depend what you’re expecting from your house and how handy you are at fixing things. My cottage is less than 2 hours from Göteborg and cost around £20k. Don’t have many flies in my new house, so perhaps you don’t need to worry about that!
Hi! I’m glad that you are enjoying Sweden! Maybe you already tried it, but when you spoke about the bank I actually think Handelsbanken can be your answer to get a account here in Sweden. Maybe it makes your life more easy. Maybe you can’t have a credit card but I think at lest a debit card, and Handelbanken exists in the UK to. I think I you have a account in both countries it’s easy to transfer money between them. I’m not 100% shore that it’s still is easy but check it up if you not already have done it! Have a happy holiday!
Hej! Swedish and English are languages that are very similar in many ways. The grammar is 80% the same. Many words in English come from North Germanic language. You tell about houses called "hus" in Swedish. You said: "What are you doing here" In Swedish " Vad gör du här" "I come from that house!" In Swedish "Jag kommer från det huset". Snow = snö, "I could not find my way" in Swedish "Jag kan inte finna vägen" (Jag kan inte hitta vägen) "I am from England" In Swedish "Jag är ifrån England" "Mobilephone and internet" in Swedish "mobile och internet" "Wild idea I had" on Swedish "Vild idé jag har" "Inside" = "insidan" "photos" = "fotos" "take" = "ta" "place here! = "plats här" There are lots of examples. But as you say, the Swedes are the problem. Swedes love to practice their English.
Love this! I'd love to buy a home in Sweden one day but I think it's a little more difficult it is for Americans...This video was so helpful though, I'll keep dreaming!
It’s a great dream Kelsey. As far as I am aware, anyone can buy a house in Sweden 🇸🇪 - but you’d need to check how long you could visit Sweden for, once you own it. If anyone knows different, please comment below
I'm thinking of buying a house in Sweden, since I'm moving to France once I've sold my British property. I've already bought the French house for cash and the sale of my ridiculously expensive British house should leave plenty for another cash purchase. Sweden is an EU country and more importantly, the culture is very similar to what I'm used to, having originally come from a a part of Scotland that used to be Norse speaking. I do love France but sometimes I just need somewhere more northerly to be. And of course in Sweden, its not considered some terrible sin to have a second or holiday home, unlike in much of Scotland now.
Hehe, most families i know here in Sweden have a 2nd home, a summer home/cabin. So certainly not viewed as a sin over here:) Why do people see it that way in Scotland?
You went there living alone in sweden? Do you have solar panels? Btw you there because of the snow? What was the plan? You interested in living in the woods area?
I got three things on a wish-/to-do list - hopefully this year (though chances are it's gonna have to wait a year or two): a) get the driver's license I've been avoiding for a long time (but let's be honest: in the rural areas there's just no way around a car). b) Put said driver's license to use and go for a camping / house-hunting adventure c) hopefully not come back but settle into a new home.
There is accualy in some of those areas. A car would make it easyer but I manage for two years in the forest with my bike, feet and with busses. It al depends on where your summer house, rural retreats is. It is not imposseble at all. Good luck.
One thing that needs clarification is that after January 1 2021 it is no longer practically possible for British citizens to relocate to Sweden. It is possible to visit for up to three months, but staying longer than that will require a visa, which will be very hard (impossible) to obtain if you are not an active professional such as a doctor or an IT-professional. Another thing that changes is that there is no longer any access to the free Swedish public healthcare. You will have to get some form of private healthcare insurance in Britain for health costs accumulated abroad, which may be very expensive for older people.
@@Bookwright As I understand it, a non EU citizen who wants to relocate to Sweden has to fit into one out of three categories; (1)You may be a close relative to someone living in Sweden and the person living in Sweden is able to support you financially. (2)You may be granted a work visa if your specific skills are seen as necessary and missing in Sweden. This is typically for doctors and engineers but others, like e.g. bus mechanics are also in short supply here. (3)You may be granted political asylum. I do not think there are any other options available for non EU citizens, such as Brits. The process for work visas can in some cases be quick. The process for close relatives will typically require more time and the asylum process can take forever and a day.
@@Bookwright Yeah, i guess that would work for those in category (1). But Sweden does not have a buy-in option where a non EU citizen can immigrate if he/she is rich enough. This kind of arrangement exists in Switzerland, Malta, Cyprus and some other European countries. On the other hand there always seem to be loopholes for the sufficiently rich to do just about anything they please, regardless of rules and regulations.

Nice story and I can relate to a lot of what you've said 🙂👍 I am a Brit I too and I worked down in the Falkland Islands back in the mid to late 90's which is a truely beautiful place 😲🤔 I lived in Stanley (the capital) where they had a population of only about 1000 people and 800 military who lived on a camp right at the edge of town, there were no trafic lights, roundabouts, dual carrageways or motorways anywhere oh and virtually no trees anywhere except a handful of pine trees which grew in the churches grounds 😲🤔 I used to fish there too for seatrout which were massive and mullet as well, but no salmon for some reason ?? I now live in the south of Poland I've been here for nearly a year, we left the UK at the start of the pandemic and it feels much nicer living here where the houses are much larger and where you get a much much bigger garden and the house prices are cheaper too, we now have an acre of garden and 5 bedrooms and with 2 garages and a barn, the language is a little bit difficult but I'm learning and am doing not too badly, and best of all, the Poles are miles ahead of the pandemic in terms of everyone wears a facemask everywhere both in the streets and in all shops, on the downside all pubs and restaurants have been closed for several months now this is the second time they have been closed (they were open during the mid to late summer) and while Covid-19 is here too the numbers are a lot less by 1000's 👍 which makes me feel safer which is also good because we have no lockdown areas like there are back in the UK the tier system doesn't exist here 👍 Overall I love it here and I have no intention in leaving here or moving back to the UK, you mentioned mosquitoes, they are bad here too in the summer and have received some nasty bites 😣 but you can never be prepared for these things even if you do come from Scotland 21:03 and yes I do come from Scotland where I'd say the midges are much, much worse 😅 I have been to Sweden myself a number of years ago, think I've been there twice in Stockholm which is very nice
All swedes start learning English in school at 8-9 years old and continue to learn it through all school years so to find someone that can't keep up a conversation in writing or talking must be quite rare nowdays.
Hi! Lovely to hear that you thrive here in Sweden. As for buying firewood, try the site blocket.se and search for "ved". Most likely you will find someone that even delivers wood to your property. Or ask the neighbours.
Hi Jennifer. Don't know if you got the kitchen stove working? I think I know what is the problem. If all the smoke is coming out in the kitchen. It's because the chimney is cold. There should be a hatch to the chimney somewhere else in the house. You need to, maybe, stuff some papper in there and lit it on fire. That will create some heat at the outlet for the smoke, And hopefully get the kitchen stove too get the cold air out. Then it should work.
2 degrees😬🥶 mercy! I want to visit God willing when Covid is bye bye , but whooo , I’m wondering if I will survive 😆,the Lord will have to fire me up 😆. Thanks for sharing.

In my summerhouse in Sweden I have a washer that is from the seventies that I put up under a birchtree every summer... but if you have a good shed it is easy.
Thanks so much Gun!
I like the cottage you got.
But your energy is at least as contagious!
Thanks so much for sharing. ✨🙏🏼😊
Thank you Ma'am for the interesting topic,it is helpful to the people who want to go there in Sweden.
We did very well, I think Sonja. Yes, I probably should’ve count pointed out that it’s not automatic with every house!
I'd love to live there and appreciate your video. Vermont is dark and cold 6 months of the year and so love any country where folks love winter and are outdoor people!
This is one of my prayers and am working to make that happens 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for your warm and insightful feedback... very informative and inspiring... looking forward to move up to Sweden in the future;))
Sunny regards from Spain 🇪🇸
Hebridian Islands are always in my heart! ❤
and Lilian Beckwith is on my bookshelf ..
Heartful greetings from Austria!
I hope you enjoy your Swedish cottage, it would be nice with an update! I just bought a cottage myself and will be posting updates with the progress. 🌸🌞
Hoping to film an update this month!
Great video young Lady. I am and have been sooooo tempted to just 'do this' (not any day now) but plan for it. Thanks for your thoughts on the subject.
Thank you so much for this video! It's incredibly informative and helpful! I'm looking for a summerhouse in Sweden, and you gave me such a peace of mind!
The pine resin will build up creosote in the stove pipe, meaning it will clog up/ close off the pipe. It can cause a fire in your stovepipe.
Not if you burn with heat and burn some aspen wood in the wood pile.
Pine is good, spruce is better, they are slow bugning wood and keep the fire at a even temperature.
Good luck. 👍
I bought a home in neighbouring Finland 14 years ago, it was a brand new apartment in a cooperation, our laundry/ ski prep room was also the nuclear shelter!
This is beautiful 😊 I'd love to live in Sweden in a cottage in the woods someday. I'm exploring what's on my front door first, walking around the UK from Norwich to Scotland and back down the west coast then round the bottom and back to Norwich. 🙂
You must know if it is allowed to live in a cottage year around,in Norway that is not allowed.
You are my first subscription of 2021, you just popped up on my recommended. loved the video and look forward watching more.
Hi Jennifer, I'm writing to you from Ontario Canada ;) I stumbled on your video because I sometimes search for videos regarding Uk, Sweden and Ireland ... these are some of the countries I would love to visit before I, lol well let's say they are on a wishful bucket list. Loved watching your video and looking forward to see more of your new cottage. Wishing you many blessings in the new year and thanks for sharing ;) Sunshine
So glad you found me Sunshine, really hope you get to visit Sweden sometime, I’m sure you will be disappointed!
I really do like your videos. You seem so enthusiastic and happy! 🍀 That's refreshing and kind of inspiring. 🌞
I am exactly the same about isolation. There is something lovely about growing food and living simply.
Hello, I find your experience so inspirational! Thank you for your video :))) Greetings from the UK ;) x
Great info, appreciate the clarity
Thank you for your lovely and uplifting video. You are always so positive and smiling. We are on the lookout for our cottage in the north of Sweden. Lots to think about and plan so gets a bit stressful at times but I’m sure it will be worth it.
Ps. We also watch Naomi and Jack
Hope you find your own special place Kris!
Really enjoyed this my son lives in Sweden with his girl friend we have visited once in the summer was very peaceful maybe we will decide at some point to find a summer home there so we can see them more. I really enjoyed your video
Hello, I am writing to you from Argentina, I love to see how happy you are and the big smile on your face, I hope one day I can do something like that and enjoy it as much as you do, a big hug and good life!
Amazing, been thinking about moving to Sweden many times, great information, will visit.
Everyone that does visit loves it, I hope you do too!
I enjoyed that! Will be looking at your other videos. I'm a Brit originally. Now Swedish-Brit. Been living here for about 45 years!
So glad you enjoyed it Wenda!
This is our dream!
We’re hoping to make our dream come true one day soon and this video is informational gold!!

Furniture is rarely included. Most of the time it's included when someone owning the house has died and the relatives don't want to go through the hassle of selling off all the stuff.
Properties on the countryside does more often come with some tools in the shed. Sometimes even with a decent traktor. And sometimes things are just there to sweeten the deal :-P
I wouldn't do a house that isn't connected to running water and electricity, but I would do one that use firewood for heating.
Thanks for sharing your experience and the helpful resources. Great video.
Greetings from Holland,
Alexandra
Hope you find somewhere to escape the people, cars and noise Alexandra! It’s certainly been interesting following Kalle’s story, especially with Christine joining him
@@JenniferCarterWriter Thank you! And a view without other houses 😉
Lazy morning reader; thought you were in Halland (on the southern Swedish west coast). Didn't add up...
@@martah5369 a totally different country indeed. As Dutch people always complain that Holland is only a part of the Netherlands, I actually live in (South) Holland.
Thank you for such an amazing video. I appreciate all the effort that went into making it. This information is extremely valuable to me as it is my dream to buy a Swedish holiday home in 5 years time as I should have saved enough by then. Looking forward to more videos about your Swedish adventure. Can you see the northern lights where you are?
Take care and happy new year! X
I wish you all the best with your saving and dreaming. You have to go quite a bit further north to see the Northern Lights, I believe - I’d love to see them one day!
This has been so helpful- thank you! We are saving and plan to move up near Skellefteå in about 4 years time
That sounds marvellous, do you have connections in the area or just love that part of the country?
@@JenniferCarterWriter we just love that part of the country, we’re not adverse to looking elsewhere when the time comes though but will probably end up around there x
There are so many new things to learn in a different country, I’m sure it will help if it is somewhere you love and have spent time already
The prices close to Skellefteå rising right now because of the battery fabric and will continue for the next coming years.
Your swedish is very good! So keep speaking and it will be "perfect" in no time.
I've bougt a house that have no water. That came as a surprise and it will be a struggle to wash by hand. But our own place is so wonderful to have, to be and just relax. :)
Congrats! Thank you for this video, it's very informative. Subbed!
Jennifer... iam from Germany and i want to move to sweden permanently. Thank you for your tips and great way you make your video... I liked that very much :-) Tack !
God jul🎅.The firewood thing is so true.I always have firewood for two years ready to go.Just in case.greetings from 🇫🇮
I'm glad for you. ❤🏡❤️ I was dreaming of living in the countryside too. Finally I find my dream and moved the lovely place with a garden. It has seen it's best day's but i felt this is it. I live here and love it with all the ups and downs and make video about it too. People keep dreaming and some day it all will happend. ❤❤❤ Have wonderful summer and autumn. ❤
Good luck you seem to be enjoying it so far !
u are welkome here. ♥♥♥
Thanks for this Henrik, most helpful!
Thanks for sharing! We badly want to start looking for a cottage in sweden aswell, doing the thinking and dreaming process first. Thank you for giving a a peek in how it'll be
Hope you find what you’re looking for!
great video! one tip on starting a fire in the fireplace: cotton balls and vasoline. this makes a slow but persistant burning flame.
Thank you for answering to all these important questions❤.
Super positive video, loved that thanks!
Great video, welcome to Sweden and good luck!
Thanks so much!
Found some info about it (in English) which might be useful: www.sekelskifte.se/en/product/facts-info-chimney-sweeping
Good luck!
thank you very much for the video 😍 very helpful 😊
I’ve been so excited for this video. I’m being hemnet but don’t see anything that is as good a price as yours that isn’t very north of Sweden. I’ll keep looking!! Thanks again
It’s winter, so there’s not much being listed right now. Worth waiting until spring I think Laura!
Cheapnordichouses on Instagram also share bargain properties in Sweden, from time to tome
Thank you :) I have to say, I am worried about the mosquitoes.....
From Norway, thanks for an interesting video. May you all have a Merry Christmas
Thanks & God Jul to you too!
Stay Safe Ma'am,more power to your vlog...
Hi Jennifer, tried following your Journey but they were all out of order and not numbered, however, caught a few! Loved them?

I would really love to move to Sweden. It seems like such a fantastic country. Most of my favourite people are also Swedish. And I'm feeling less and less Welsh every day. :( Unfortunately, I don't think it's on the cards for a while yet, but this was a very useful video!
How can the Swedes be your favorite people?

Spisved is it called in sweden if you want too use it too an stove.
Pannved, is it called for use in an open fireplace.
Good luck
Thanks Andreas, hadn’t thought of looking on blocket!
Thank you Jennifer really helpful and succinct 🙏
Thanks dread Pirate Roberts (there’s a phrase I never thought I would never actually type!)
@@JenniferCarterWriter well these are crazy times anything is possible in 2021
The uk you do not have to use a solicitor you van do it all yourself .
Very informative thank you
Ooohhhh is so nice the trees and foresta there!!! 20k is perfect price for a house!!
The result is also a useful tool for haggling the price
Consider that you can basically go anywhere you want and pick berries and mushrooms.
Was looking at the south of Sweden, less snow etc but
it appears to be a bit cheaper the further north you get
I guess it will depend what you’re expecting from your house and how handy you are at fixing things. My cottage is less than 2 hours from Göteborg and cost around £20k. Don’t have many flies in my new house, so perhaps you don’t need to worry about that!
@leihan-mx6ni 你好

That's it, I'm doing this.
Thanks so much Andreas, I will take a look at that. I'm not sure how it will work after 31st December and Brexit ... but will check it out, for sure
Hej!
Swedish and English are languages that are very similar in many ways.
The grammar is 80% the same. Many words in English come from
North Germanic language.
You tell about houses called "hus" in Swedish. You said: "What are you doing here" In Swedish " Vad gör du här"
"I come from that house!" In Swedish "Jag kommer från det huset".
Snow = snö, "I could not find my way" in Swedish "Jag kan inte finna vägen" (Jag kan inte hitta vägen)
"I am from England" In Swedish "Jag är ifrån England"
"Mobilephone and internet" in Swedish "mobile och internet"
"Wild idea I had" on Swedish "Vild idé jag har"
"Inside" = "insidan" "photos" = "fotos" "take" = "ta"
"place here! = "plats här"
There are lots of examples.
But as you say, the Swedes are the problem.
Swedes love to practice their English.
There certainly are some surprising similarities Kjell, but there is still much to learn, to be able to understand spoken Swedish!
“…and plan for a future with more joy, and less stress.”
Merci pour ta Joie. Your guardian angel is happy for you, she knows you now have a calm safeheaven; à Stuga in Sverige.❤
Trevligt att se att du skaffat stuga här i Sverige :-)
I'm thinking of buying a house in Sweden, since I'm moving to France once I've sold my British property. I've already bought the French house for cash and the sale of my ridiculously expensive British house should leave plenty for another cash purchase. Sweden is an EU country and more importantly, the culture is very similar to what I'm used to, having originally come from a a part of Scotland that used to be Norse speaking. I do love France but sometimes I just need somewhere more northerly to be. And of course in Sweden, its not considered some terrible sin to have a second or holiday home, unlike in much of Scotland now.
Hope you find the right place Trondra!
Thanks so much for all the information, it really helps me.. I hope I can buy my house soon 😂🙏
This is so much my dream. My bf is swedish and we want a cottage. And many kids
Sounds wonderful. I hope you find the right place to call home!
It can be a nice surprise but should definitely not be assumed that furniture and tools are included just because a cottage is sold as a holiday home.
You are right, it is only sometimes that happens
I got three things on a wish-/to-do list - hopefully this year (though chances are it's gonna have to wait a year or two): a) get the driver's license I've been avoiding for a long time (but let's be honest: in the rural areas there's just no way around a car). b) Put said driver's license to use and go for a camping / house-hunting adventure c) hopefully not come back but settle into a new home.
Sounds awesome - hope you can do it!
Thanks for this information Kjell - definitely something to bear in mind!
I wouldn't say imposseble as much as an extremly long and complicated process.
@@dvogonen yes or if one can prove that one has the means to suport oneself already. But thats really not easy.
Hi Jennifer I've watched all your vlogs of buying a property in Sweden looks a fantastic place how are you finding to escape to your retreat with restrictions in place? I'm looking at the end of this year into buying a property in🇸🇪 and you have given sum valuable and helpful information into buying a property Happy holidays 👌
Too help with the mosquitos you can build bat nests and put up in the trees around your house. Bats eat alot of mosquitos. Welcome to Sweden.
Thanks so much, I didn’t realise that
The tree Björk 🌳 have mushrooms growing on it. If you lit that on fire, the 🦟 go away and the ”knotts” also a irritating bug like 🦟.
You can buy a machine that are Said to take away them to. Welcome to Sweden😃🥰
@@JenniferCarterWriter you are welcome. One other thing you can use is a tree tick in an open fire. The mosquitos hate the smoke from it.
Great to see you have some good memories of living in the Falklands. Hope that your new life in Poland works well for you!
Excellent video!
Välkommen till Sverige.🙂👍
Hi Jennifer. Don't know if you got the kitchen stove working? I think I know what is the problem. If all the smoke is coming out in the kitchen. It's because the chimney is cold. There should be a hatch to the chimney somewhere else in the house. You need to, maybe, stuff some papper in there and lit it on fire. That will create some heat at the outlet for the smoke, And hopefully get the kitchen stove too get the cold air out. Then it should work.
We have approx 96.000 lakes in Sweden. It's not hard finding a house within walking distance of one.
More like kind of hard to find some place not with a lake nearby. 😜
