We see some comments popping up about us being rude or ungrateful in this video. We had to watch the video back ourselves, we didn't mean to come of like that and we don't really think we did. With filming this video it was the 2nd time seeing the house, our first visit was only about 15 minutes and there are a couple months in between. The house looked so much different when it was empty, things work differently in different countries and we did not know a lot of things at this time. We did not expect the shed to still be full of (amazing and useful) stuff. Burning the shed was definitely a joke. Us saying things are weird is not ment as a bad thing, owning a house just felt weird in that moment. We are in fact very grateful and happy with the house. -Nathan and Yvette
Trust me. As a norwegian, dont even consider burning this outhouse. Its well worth it and the condition looks fine as an outhouse. Unless you hate money this is in great condition. The old part has great material quality i seems and the roof is in good condition
Burning it was more of a joke 😅 Our first impression was that it was a bit messy. But its a shed, its supposed to be a bit messy. The structure is good and the roof is pretty new, so we are going to clean it out and its going to a very useful space for us. -Yvette
To me that looks like a dream place. The former owners left it remarkable nice for you, both inside and outside. The most important thing though is not what you see. Check roof, ground, electricity, leakage etc. Congratulations to this wonderful place ❤
The extra windows in the room on the top floor are "winter windows". Back in the day, before there were dubble and tripple glazed windows, people put those in for better inulation in the winter. People would also put dried white moss and decorations between the windows.
In my former house all windows were like that so you had to mount them before winter. There is a special liner you can buy for insulation in between the windows. It looks a bit like cotton.
The moss in between the window panes was mainly to absorb the moisture that gets trapped there with the added benefit of some insulation. Didn't know that some people used to decorate also so that was was really fun to know. Thanks for telling us. People are so resourceful! Love it ❤ I hope you guys enjoy your great new space. The shed/garage was a really nice bonus. Great with the timber walls and the "sticketak" as we call it, at least in Skaraborg. That is all the sticks that makes up the roof on the inside. That is the best roof you can have so treat it well and it will never give you any problems. Good luck!
@@Lina-dv5em My grandmother always decorated in-between the windows. She stuck pretty dried flowers in the bog moss and little wooden toadstools and wooden houseelves. She wanted it to look like scenes from Elsa Beskows fairy tales. I loved her window displays as a child. ❤

Hi, and welcome to Sweden. I must say that the house and shed lookes terrific. But I'm a bit surprised on your reaction to the interior of the house. Swedes usually clean the main building before they leave it. We are normally quite civilized... And the shed with all of its equipment are worth a lot. The day when you start to renovate your new place you will be thankfull for all the things the old owner left for you. And I mean really thankful! You have a lot to learn... 😊
Great video, little confused by your attitude to the house and out buildings. I assume you saw the house before you purchased it, so why are you surprised by the house layout and the clean state of the building? Of course there’s holes in the shed, it’s a shed! If just patching 3 holes is your idea of a “lot of work” then you have a big learning curve! On the face of it, it’s a very nice cared for property. Hopefully you will explain yourselves better in coming videos. Happy new year to you both! ❤
We didn't mean to come over ungrateful, we are very grateful and happy with the house. We did see the house before buying it, it was completely furnished at that point so it looked completely different and we didn't look to closely at the shed because it was very full of stuf and we didn't think they would leave us with so much amazing tools. We will start explaining things more and hopefully better in upcoming video's, but there will always be a bit of chaos, thats just who we are. -Yvette

It is a lovely house and it is really nice updated. The bathroom with the washer and dryer is great. The layout is good. I think it is a very good house. The floors are supposed to be a bit creaky.
