I’ve been watching Roaming Wild Rosie re-do an older house in Sweden. It’s so interesting to compare the two! You are doing a great job Anna! 👏🏼
I also watch her videos 🙌 Thanks for your encouraging words!
Rosie lives on her own and does all her own DIY.
I was thinking Rosie could have used the gadget for the ceiling, lol. Hang in there. You are doing great. ❤
I wish she would ask for help. Her finish carpentry is excellent!
@@sherylchapman4168 I agree! She takes being independent to a whole other level 😁
It’s often a gift to others to allow them to help you. They feel needed and you allow the satisfaction of sharing the load.
That is so true, I will remind myself of that more often 🙂
74 and finally feeling more comfortable asking for help ..eek 😳
@@trudyrank7389haha, I really hope it's gonna happen to me one day too! Just finished with painting my aptm all alone 😅and I'm so exhausted! When I look around I actually can't believe I did it!
Looks like this one got picked up by the algorithm. Hopefully an increase in subscribers too. Would be nice if the clips in swedish were dubbed/commentary in english. :)
I sure does :) Will probably do upcoming videos in English, seems like hard work doing subtitles, hehe..
@@annasgmlindgren I hear ya. Looking forward to future videos and your 1k subscriber landmark. :)
Yep, I wish could have had an idea of many times I couldn't understand. But the language is lovely.
@@kray2001 Sorry to hear that! There are subtitles for the Swedish-parts ☺
@@kray2001press the cc symbol on the screen for subtiles.
I like your style/how you film this video - the little chapters - it breaks it up - also your attitude/honesty throughout. You've done so much hard work, the progress must be so rewarding.
Thank you so much, it is definitely very rewarding 🙏
I admire your dedication and hard work. New subscriber.
Thank you 🙏
Hello from Texas! Love your renovation of this wonderful house. I am so impressed with all you are learning and how much you can do. Asking for help ....... is so hard for some of us.❤️ I love to see you and your Dad working together!🥰
Great to hear, thank you for watching 🙏🙂
Everything takes time. There is always problems, usually it’s a conflict between not enough time or not enough money. Bit look at you! Tackling this project and you say you hadn’t the skills, but YOU did it! WOW! You’ve done GREAT! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for our encouragement, it means a lot to me ❤️🙏
Just found u today. I cannot tell u how much I admire u and Roaming with Rosie for tackling these huge renovation projects!
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me 🙏
Интересно смотреть как Вы усердно трудитесь и всё у Вас получается правильно. Мне думается, что Вы большая молодец, у Вас, как говорят у нас в России, золотые руки.
Желаю Вам удачи и успехов.
Обнял!
Thank you for sharing your journey of imagination and sustainability. All work is noble and you send that message so well. James from Tennessee, USA
Thank you for your kind words 🙏
Such hard work but so worth it. We'll done!
Thank you 🙏 Definitely worth it!
I love the idea of everyone coming to help for your birthday
If you have any property drainage areas to work on, you could dig a trench, lay down a layer of your old tiles on the bottom, smash up the rest and put them in over that, then cover it with soil for sort of a French drain effect. Save you having to buy gravel. The progress looks great.
Such a cool solution, I have a bunch of left over tiles I could use for such a thing.. So far the drainage seems okay, but maybe in the future 🙂
You are one strong woman...inside and out...👍❤🇺🇸
Thank you, that's nice to hear ❤️
4:00 Maybe don't post (pun intended) all of your contact info on UA-cam like that 😊 Anyway great video, mycket inspirerande! 😃
Thanks for pointing that out... I've blurred it now 🙏
Great video. I enjoy watching people take on projects like yours. Best regards from Michigan.
Thank you, great to hear 🙏
I really like your idea of recycling and building your own. You are doing a good job. Cool videos.
Thank you 🙏
Algorithm can be a joy. Guess Roaming Wild Rosie brought me up here and I am happy about it.
I really love her videos , she inspires me a lot! Thanks for watching 🙏❤️
Same thing happened to me ☺️👍🏻
What a lot of work you've done. Well done you are very talented 🌷
Thank you 🙏
Really good job done!!! ❤
So much work you have done and still so much to be done. Hope you a lot of good energy with the rest. See you in the next story.
I bought a house to and moved from the city. Let's see how everything will turn out.
Have a wonderful journey ❤🌳🏠🌳❤️
Thank you for the encouraging words! Good luck with your project too 🙏
Algorithm be like "here you go" I liked what I saw, so subbed to watch more😊
Thank you for watching 🙏
Seriously cool, Anna!
Wow! Amazing progress you've made. I agree it would help to dub the Swedish comments in English. Great job!
Thank you so much 🙏 There are subtitles for when I speak Swedish. But from now on I'll try to speak English as much as possible!
New subscriber from Florida in the USA. Great work. 😊😊😊😊
Thank you 🙏
Really enjoyed this renovation, hello from Scotland
Thank you 🙏
Congratulations Anna 🎉 what a beautiful job you have done...so proud for you ❤️ from Mexico
Thank you ❤️
I think you can reuse those old tiles somewhere. They would be excellent for drainage, for example. Best if they are broken.
Well done for everything you’ve achieved so far. You’ve worked so hard and it’ll be such a lovely home once it’s finished 👏🏻🌹🏴
Thank you so much 🙏
At least with the new roof you got rid of the wasp problem. I like the red on the house but you live there and must do what you like.
Love the big windows❤❤❤
Loved your work and the video. Please keep going! I will watch.
Thank you 🙏
Bravissimi, ottimo lavoro 💪💪👍👋
Such a beautiful house. You’re doing an amazing job. It’s my dream to one day do the same. Greeting from Australia 🐨

Hi from PA USA. You are a hard working woman. Keep the good vibe.
Lovely living room ❤
Thank you 🙏
Hugs from Poland. All the best with your work. I am all with you as building the summer house (even builders did that) required a lot of energy, patience and planing.
Thank you so much, it sure takes both time and energy, but it is also a lot of fun 🙂
Really well done, both work and video!
Thank you 🙏
You have done a fantastic job, be proud of yourself.
Thank you 🙏
Strongt att du orkar filma så mycket, känns väldigt inspirerande att titta på, har så mycket att ta tag i. Tack för ditt arbete med videorna, verkligen.
Hi this video has come up in my suggested a few times (I watch a LOT of similar video's) today I finally had time to watch and I am so glad I did. What a lovely place you have with so much potential.
As you were describing your plans at the end I could picture them and it sounds wonderful.
As I get time I will check out your earlier video's as I do like to get to know you and your channel better. Usually I would do that first but I couldn't help but watch this one first (impatient to see 😂).
So new subscriber looking forward to seeing your dreams become reality as you are able.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, and thanks for following ❤️
Loved it keep going
Thank you 🙏
Great work Anna. Just came across your channel. Hi from Australia.
Nice job
Be extra careful with rags you use to wipe the linseed oil with and storing them. I read that they are notorious for spontaneous combustion. Watching and enjoying your journey from PA, USA.
Thanks for the heads up, and thanks for watching 🙂🙏
Absolutely stunning and inspiring! Way to tackle this on your own and with some loving help from loved ones. Everything is looking awesome and you are doing an incredible job!
Thank you so much, that means a lot 🙌💛
Det er fantastisk, hvad du har opnået. Mange hilsner fra Danmark
Tusen tack ❤️
Wish there were english subtitles. Love your cabin x
There are subtitles for the Swedish speaking parts. Thanks for watching 🙏

Thank you 🙏 My sister has chickens and they are lovely...so I am very much thinking about it 🙂
New subscriber. What a wonderful home.
You'll be able to enjoy it for years to come. Looking forward to seeing more videos in the future. Stay safe, and keep those toes covered in case you drop something. Haha
Thank you so much, I am really enjoying spending time here, despite it being quite the building site, haha 🙂
I am so excited to be registered for the book giveaway!!! You are a real favorite of mine. I have your tastes too.❤

Hello from Alabama! I really enjoyed this so much. I think I would love to do something like this someday too.❤️
Hey there, thanks for your comment 🙏 It is really fun and rewarding most of the time, hope you get the opportunity to do a project like this too when your ready for it ❤️
Your project looks so much like my Siskola. I’m not quite as far with the renovations here yet but I am also mostly doing it by myself. Im also a big fan of to do list but I noticed that mostly I add more stuff to it. 😅 Good luck to you! Hälsningar från Finland.
Fantastic, will have to check out your channel 🙂 Good luck to you too!
@@annasgmlindgren Thank you! 😊🌸
thanks to this video i found out how to fix my insulation for the roof, i have to double the beam, for sure ! thanks
Best of luck with your project 🙌
Hej Anna, When you are cleaning paint from metal, like your radiator, just use full strength vinegar. I prefer the apple cider vinegar, but white vinegar works too. Just leave it on for 3-4 hours for one or two layers of paint latex paint, but for heavy layers of old paint, you may wish to leave it overnight. The paint will wipe right off! Then clean with soap and water, rinse and let dry.
Oh that is such a great hack, great to know for future radiator renovations, thank you 🙏
It works on door hinges or any hardware too. Just soak them in the vinegar. Best of luck with all of your work. @@annasgmlindgren
I hope you get your wishes done it’s amazing how much you have accomplished but for a small house inside the walls to dark hope your upstairs will be more calm colors absolutely fantastic work congratulations to you
Thank you for the encouraging words, it is a lot of hard work indeed... 🙏 If you have ideas of colors (something I think is hard to choose), please let me know 🙂
Honey you are a wonderful young lady and lighter colors in a smaller place makes look larger pick a color that makes you feel cozy and warm specially in winter time if it’s dark outside you want to come in and feel warm and surround by your beautiful and inspiring calm environment
Vad tuff du är! Kämpa på ❤
Tack 🙏💛
As a thought, you could repurpose some of the old roof for the chicken coop, the walls of your outdoor shower, an outbuilding/garage, etc. This could save you from needing to recycle it and spending money on new supplies.
roof over deck or part of it, so you can sit outside even when it is raining and protect the wood; thereby, extending its life.
it could also be used as fencing or a wind break
Great idea! I have actually collected some old wood panels for a chicken coop or outdoor shower. Also got a fence that I could use for building something.. 🙂
I would love that 🙏 I tried out having a sail as a roof but it couldn't handle rain very well...
🍀wish you well🌹🌿🇮🇸🎶
Just watched your 1 year video. If I had only have known, you could have had me and my Labour for free.
That would have come in handy 😅
@@annasgmlindgren maybe next time, that is if you buy a house in England. I can't travel. No passport anymore.
I've also experienced a slew of weird things happening during and after major renovations (lights turning on/off, footsteps, door handles rattling etc). I've read that renovations make energies move, driving ghosts out of their hiding spots, if you believe in that sort of thing. In my home the weird things just stopped after a while after the renovations and everything settled down again.
Very interesting, seems to make sense that energies move around when you start to make big changes in "their" space 🙂 Glad to hear I am not the only one who has experienced something like it.
I just discovered your channel with this video and had to try maybe 15 times to be able to subscribe … it was saying “error while subscribing” … I thought I’ll try one last time and finally it worked … I am writing this because maybe not everybody would try so many times … anyway, I am looking forward to watch the following videos, also the past ones … good luck with everything…
Glad to hear it worked out, really appreciate your follow 🙂🙏
@@annasgmlindgren with pleasure 💕
Lots of hard work it looks really nice. On a side note I don't know your language I didn't notice an accent at all but hello from burning hot in Texas
Thank you 🙏 Swedish is my mother tounge, but I have lived in both Canada and in the UK 🙂
Also bear in mind, replacing the panel might very well uncover log damage etc you will have to deal with immediately.
Thanks for your concern! So far everything I have seen behind the panels looks good, hope that will be the case for the rest too 🙏
Iøvrigt supergo stil, at hente brugte tagsten i prikket kjole..!👍🏼
Strange that the mosquitos didn't devour you for lunch in the garden, even with the creek so nearby. Looks like a nice spot, shame that the recycling centers in Sweden, don't allow you take away stuff, you would have that spt sourced in no time.
There are plenty of mosquitos here, but now with autumn coming it is getting a little better thankfully 🙏
Tack Anna for showing us around your cottage and sharing your future plans. I'm currently learning Swedish, but a long way off having actual conversations. Do you have a background in design? I noticed you sketch things and measure in a similar way that I do, and I've been an interior designer for 25+ years. By the way, I absolutely love the dark walls, and am painting my walls black once I finish replacing my ceiling. All the best with the project.
I took a short course in building technique about 10 years ago, and picked up some drawing skills then.. But I have also worked within graphic design so that might help too 🙂 Glad to hear you like the dark walls, I really think it makes the space interesting. And impressive that you are trying to learn our language, keep up the good work!
It would sure be nice and time-saving in the run if you could plan a proper spot for your copper and the related work and then empty the caravan right to that spot rather than having to keep moving things around. Good luck. ❤
Definitely ! Thank you 🙏
Can the old ceiling tiles be used as sides of a raised bed? I really know nothing about the material. Greetings from North Carolina USA
I would say so for sure 🙂
I wish I was there, I’d come and help you❣️
Thank you 🙏
I can't believe you don't have a better heat shield between your stove pipe n the wood. Double wall pipe or something. Looks like a fire waiting to happen.
It is actually a brickwall behind, so should be all good. Thank you for your concern ❤️🙏
Beautiful garden, lovely woman. Shamim zahuri from bangladesh💓👏🤝🧜🕊
Thank you! It is slowly coming along 🌱💛
Sad to see you cover all that nice wood
When you got to the radiators I was concerned that the old paint may have had lead in it. Did you test it before scraping it off?
Ohh, no I didn't...
@@annasgmlindgren Sweden banned leaded paints in the 1920s. Not sure how old your house is...but it always pays to be safe and buy a test kit before you scrape or sand. PS I love your project!
46:11 I personally don't think it's a good idea to put a hole for the stairs directly over the heater. The heat would go directly upstairs leaving the lower part of the house colder than the upper....
That's a really good point, something I have also discovered when I have been lighting a fire.. I have plans to move the heater in to the living room, where I also think it will be more cosy to sit and enjoy the fire 💛
House looks similiar to Roaming Wild Rosie's in Sweden
Black walls . Yuk . So many dark winter months make that so depressing
Great job, Please improve your audio, Can barely hear you at times. Thanks! Keep up the good work,
Thank you! I will definitely try to better the sound ❤️
För guds skull, Anna. Var försikting när du använder hobbyknivar etc.
Some old people can be stubborn and refuse help, all the while they're home goes into disarray
So true ❤️ Your comment also made me realise I myself have a hard time asking for help, and so did they clearly..
Great progress, but too bad the audio was so bad. Maybe it was just my computer. lol
I was curious why you painted some of your walls black or was that a primer
I found a black wind break paper behind the old masonite boards, and really liked how it looked, so that's how I came up with the idea 🙂 It is actually a really dark blue but think it looks black at times in the videos.
