I had a '56, pulled out of a scrap yard. Got it running but smoked like crazy. Replaced valve guide seals, still smoked. Turns out there is a vacuum pump IN THE OIL PAN! It's suppose to help run the vacuum wiper motor. Anyways, the pump was sucking oil into the intake manifold. Blocked off the hose and the smoke stopped. Just a FYI.
*Sorry Dude* In 1956 the Fleetwood "Sixty Special" is top of cadillac's line of extreme luxury automobiles. If you check out Cadillac"s literature from 1956, the Sixty Special is the lead car and costing as much for the base model as the 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible. Yep a four door sedan dub by Cadillac as a near limousine. Not to be confused with Cadillac's 1956 series 62 four door sedan or the series 75 limousine. And don't confuse the Biarritz convertible with Cadillac's 1956 series 62 convertible.
The a/c would've been in the trunk, condenser and blowers. Intake would have been on rear by the rear window, on on each side and compressor in engine bay. Does the car have the bat wing air filter?
Very nice and rare car!
Rare car and interesting. First year for Eldorado Seville ... so, restore it !

It's too bad you don't have any knowledge of these cars. You have a gem there don't mess it up.

That car is in excellent shape! Shouldn't have do much with it I would think.
Yeah pleasantly surprised since it was in the grass like that!

Have a locksmith come out and key it. Great old caddy.
