What an amazing iconic automobile. She's a runner. Only 532 produced, she is rare. That after market oil filter was called Franz. My Uncle had a repair shop in the 1950's -1970's. He used to sell these, yes toilet paper was the actual filter, lol.
Nice demonstration of getting an old car started I enjoyed seeing the 2 inch hitch in the back I have one installed on our old car used for a carrier to take 2 mountain bikes to the trails. That car could be someone’s SUV. And where I live you see old Cadillacs on the road. There are a few good mechanics that work on the Cadillac engines here in Toledo. Thank you for showing the work
I just found your channel. And I watched all your videos in one shot, waiting for the next one. I own my mothers 1958 2 door De Ville, that my dad bought her new. Turquoise with a white top with a white and Turquoise interior. 51000, miles. I was 5 when they bought it new. I'm now 71. I really enjoy your show!!!!!
Classic GM cars are extremely solid and hard to kill! And this Caddie is an amazingly beautiful car! I do not like white for this model though.Wish it ws mine!
Something kind of off topic. The channel Carchaeology": "Cadillac Eldorado Barn Find first start, drive, wash Will it run?" They clean up a huge collection of classics. When I see them working on this gorgeous 56 Caddie I have the feeling that they do not know enough about Caddies. That was shown that they did not even try to locate the remote for the trunk. They work mainly on import stuff and Volkswagen. This car should end up in the hands of a guy like you. You might try to contact them and maybe try to buy ths one or offer them your assistence fixing it for cash. I worry someone will damage the vehicle. I am not even sure if they checked any fluid. And they started it without any fluid in the cylinders.
