Finally, someone who takes the time to explain blueprints and shows the building process - rather than paywalling them, or just saying "here's the blueprint" and then no explanation.
I'm going to try all that you just showed. I wrote it down to make sure i have this information handy and will have the UA-cam set tovthis as well. I'm 68 and my mind is getting a little forgetful so, I'm playing to get it going. When i was younger i would have been able to remember better and understood better, thank you do much for the information, i just get lost with what most of the others saying about "how to". Thank you again.
I am a veteran of Sarisfactory but being on winter break from college I dove in again. This video helped be dive back in oil at zipline pace! Thank you so much.
5:28 It was probably added in 1.0 but you can now delete the whole blueprint now. You just need to change the dismantling mod to blueprint with "R" button. Awesome guide, it helped me a lot
Wow. I learned something today. Didn't know you can burn Petroleum Coke. You probably get more energy out of Diluted fuel, but until Blenders that's a bit of a tedious process so burning Coke is a much quicker and easier setup that you can just wholesale delete when you get to Phase 4 instead of having to reconfigure a bunch of pipes and delete your Can factory.
There you go! That is exactly what I did with my first factory in this playthrough. Once I got fuel and trains delete the end and get it switched over to fuel
Not sure if you are aware or not, but you can actually just snap splitters/mergers right onto the conveyor lifts (it can be a little finicky to get the placement sometimes), which avoids having to build the 4-stack of splitters first. Some people consider this clipping, but I think it actually makes the splitter/merger and lift look like a single unit. Keep up the good work - I really enjoy your videos!
Thanks Andrew. Good shout! I do know that…I wanted to do it the way I showed for one unimportant reason. If you snap the mergers right to the lift, you can’t run the pipe directly under the belt without clipping the lift. I like the look better of having the belt and lift right over the top of each other.
A tip for cable management. Run a steel beem just above the cable hookup points and you can place the wall mounted power connector over each hookup point, then you just daisy chain em up and the cable should be hidden under the steel beem.
Ah Blue Crater, I recently finished my big fuel generator project there, only working on decorating it now. All the oil is converted into Heavy Oil and then all of that is pumped through Blenders to make diluted fuel and almost 1800/min Compacted Coal used to turn as much into Turbo Fuel as possible. It's a massive 6 floor building, very top heavy because of the sheer number of Fuel Generators. I don't even know how much power it outputs exactly, but I'm pretty close to finishing and I think it will be enough for that. I have the various oil facilities use the Residue for Generators too, so those all combined should be enough. I really don't wanna make Nuclear. I checked on Satisfactory Calculator and I actually have exactly 1000 Fuel Generators. Amazing. 827 of these is in the big plant in Blue Crater. Well every block has 1 that's not running on full clock speed so let's say it's effectively 980 on the whole and about 800 in the big plant, that means it's a cool 120 000 MWs of power. Could be more but you'd have to use up most of the sulfur in the game.
Don't know if this has changed since you made the video but you can do an "alternate" delete whcih will delete entire blueprints with one click. Likewise to anyone reading this. If you hit 'R' while in delete mode you can just delete blueprints.
It did change since I made this video for good reason. It was so annoying to dismantle these thing! Appreciate you spreading the word for the current method.
This is a great video. I watched a few on this subject. I settled in to yours and have been following along. Im almost finished and added my own changes along the way. I turned half of it on after a quicksave and it all works. When im done, I was wondering if you have a video where you improved this power plant plastic rubber factory?
Thanks man! I liked this one a lot too, but not quite as many watched it as others 🤷♂️ I don’t have another video for the next step which would probably be making rubber and plastic and fuel in the traditional manner. A good idea for another video.
I dont know if y'all know but you can delete blueprints with one click. And if you put a bp on floor and delete someting you dont need do go to hotbar again. You can just copy a complete bp that as already put on ground. Just changing the delete mode for blueprint and click in midle mouse boton
@@DrLootCrate i mean for the plastic so it don't back up while your making the computer factory and you lose out on that extra power generation.. or something
Great vid btw, im only able to keep 8 coal generators running instead of 12. Im not sure if ive done something wrong or im meant to let the potroleum fill up all the generators before turning them on. Thanks anyways!
Great video, thank you for making it! I'm wondering if you didn't forget a little something though : in the intro you mention that this setup will produce15 rubber. Since a refinery at 100% produces 20 plastic, that must mean the refinery producing rubber should be underclocked at 75% yet you never mention this. Is my math wrong ?
This was meant for those in the early game, so they probably don’t have an infinite supply of shards yet. But I really like building. I really only use shards on miners so I can build more!
This uses a manifold design, so no balancing needed. Once the first machine fills up, the extra passes on to the next and so on. As long as your input belt has enough total coal for each generator, it is essentially self balancing
There is a mod for true flying, but I only play vanilla. I am using the hover pack, which is unlocked in tier 6 I believe. You have to be near a power source to use it

My pleasure Kelly. Glad you got back into it. I am on a little Satisfactory break myself and need to find a inspirational video to get back on it too
I appreciate you going through all the details of this. It makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the upload

One of the only satisfactory tutorials that is worthy to watch
Thanks dude! Appreciate the feedback
Finally found a great video on the next big step of doing oil production. Certainly saved me a lot of trouble.

@@DrLootCrate Good luck.
I don't even have the game, but I enjoy watching your videos -- thank you!

Good start, work in some alternates one done! Recycled Rubber/Plastic and Diluted Fuel are your friends.
The subtle Billy Madison reference was nice :)
First to catch it! Haha
Glad to know that I'm not the only one who named their train choo choo in full caps

Thanks for the tips, but those features were added in a later update after I made this video. It definitely makes things a lot easier!
You can now clear blueprints with one click too just press F then R , it will put you in blueprint dismantle mode
You can delete blueprints with one click FYI. Press R to change the delete tool.
Not when I made this video…they hadn’t put it in yet. Very happy they did!
Thanks!
No prob Andy! Thanks for watching
And thanks for the Super Thanks! Always appreciate the gesture
very good video
Very good comment. Thanks Kilian!
Gotta put awesome sink for the overflow too 🙃
It’s definitely a good idea, but I am pretty confident in my math here. We have a 10 coke per minute buffer which should be enough
@@DrLootCrate i mean for the plastic so it don't back up while your making the computer factory and you lose out on that extra power generation.. or something
@@csevrence1 ah yes. I should have mentioned that as an option if you aren’t going to use it all
Those things in the lake that you said you cannot destroy ... have you tried chainsawing them?
Well no, not those particular ones. I know the really big ones you can't destroy, but maybe I should have tried haha

figured it out haha
For some reason it could not sustain the delivery of coal but adding a few power storage to not waste energy solved it
If i have a Fuel Generator is better to use it then instead of a coal Generator then ?
Definitely if you have the materials. But I still leave my coal plants up and running after I move on to fuel and then diluted fuel later
@@DrLootCrate so I just need to switch the one that produce the coal to produce fuel?

Why don't you overclock everything with the power shards and just have less machinery?
This was meant for those in the early game, so they probably don’t have an infinite supply of shards yet. But I really like building. I really only use shards on miners so I can build more!
am i dumb? 11 coal generators needs 275 Petroleum Coke. However, you are only generating 265. Will the power constantly fluctuate?
It feels like your generators are going tostarve without ay balancing for your conveyors?
This uses a manifold design, so no balancing needed. Once the first machine fills up, the extra passes on to the next and so on. As long as your input belt has enough total coal for each generator, it is essentially self balancing
