    My brain stopped working for a few seconds when you moved the coal lift TOWARDS the clipping and the splitter suddenly was out of the way... forehead slap when I watched again and you had turned around the output. DOH. Very well done.

    This video gave me new tips and I made a version with no alternate recipes and only ingots. The spacing is very tight and I needed a fluid buffer for the water output, but it is so nice to drop more to increase output! Thanks!

      BPs are handy twofold. Mass deletions per blueprint make factory deletion faster and easier. Regardless of what BP designer one uses (I use a mod) it makes BP design a drop in replacement. So upgrading a factory with constraints is a snap.

    Under the current update of Satisfactory, you do not need the alternate recipes in your book. Modify a new save with the satisfactory calculator, make sure you allow all tiers so you have the blue print maker and all alternate recipes. With the blueprint maker you can set a constructor, assembler or whole setup involving the alt recipe, save it and make sure you move the plan plus it’s additional file to your blueprint folder in your current world. When you drop the plans the machines should retain its Alternate plan, I’ve done this with caterium boards and iron wire with no issue at all.

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  Рік тому +1

      Good to know. I have them all unlocked so I had no idea what happens when somebody tries to use a blueprint with alt selected that they don’t have.
      But don’t your blueprints apply to every save? I don’t think there is another blueprint folder per save, but I guess I haven’t looked

    • @timothygibson4596
      @timothygibson4596 Рік тому

      @@DrLootCrate if you make multiple save files with a new game time, they are saved in the numbered/lettered folder for saves but each folder. for instances if you have unlocked the blueprint maker and made a print to save so the folder can be populated Correctly. If you preemptively make a blueprint folder in the save, you run the chance of bricking the save because it’s trying to access the folder it has created and can not locate it. It will try to make another folder and fail because the folder name already exists. But in a few words each save has its own individual blueprint folder.

    I built this, but did have difficulty after placing the shunted foundations at 9:41 in the instructions, despite being really as precide as i could , it still gave me the error you mentioned so it wouldn't allow me to place the 2nd constructor, so i improvised, dropped 4 full foundations then placed it, then just deleted the full foundations, and placed the ones you mentioned afterward. Other than that, the factory seemed ok! When using the blueprint however, i did notice that on 1 or 2 of the conveyer lifts, despite it having snapped when building the blueprint, it has a gap between the top of the conveyer lift and the merger/splitter, i think this is currently a bug with blueprints as this has happened on some of my own. Nay bother tho, i just corrected it by replacing the conveyor lift to re-snap it.

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the detailed feedback. bummer that you couldn't quite find the same solution as me, but good improv!
      The bug in the conveyor lift appearance is very annoying, but it actually disappears the next time that you load the factory. So next time you save and restart it will look normal without doing anything

    I got about as far as the constructors on this. I wasn't able to line up the merger from the bottom smelters. Not sure if i put anything up to that point in the wrong place, but everything was placed as the video shows up to that point. I hooked up the lift to the constructor tried to put the merger on, then when i put the lifts onto the smelters they were a click off. Everything else up to that point was going perfect. Any input on how i can get that lined up would be great.

  • @Metrion77
    @Metrion77 2 місяці тому

    How is it that I spent years playing this game trying to prioritize fluids... I was using packagers and splitter mergers. Package the output water, package the input water, split the output water into 2 belts, have those 2 belts merge with the third input belt before feeding back into unpackagers.
    AND YOU CAN JUST MAKE A REVERSE PEE TRAP?!

  • @larsboevee9085

    What would happen if u would use a foundry instead of smelter unoverclocked foundry takes 30 less scraps and makes 30 more ingots when u place the max of both in a line facing forward, combined with the blender scrap recipe would this be more material efficient or would it not, thanks for your time of reading this.

    • @larsboevee9085
      @larsboevee9085 Рік тому +1

      The reason for the blender is less spa ce

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  Рік тому +1

      Good question Lars. I am not sure you could fit that all in to one blueprint, but maybe I am wrong. The foundry recipe also calls for silica, so you would need to bring that in as well, which I like to avoid.
      Instant scrap (which is the blender recipe) uses more bauxite per scrap, so I tend to avoid it most of the time since bauxite is so rare. I do use it in my battery factory however as I can be more convenient

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  Рік тому +1

      Keen eye Jesper. There is a visual bug when you first put down blueprints with conveyor lifts. It basically puts a second one down going off to the side like the one you found. I am pretty sure that it goes away once you save and leave the game and come back.
      Something I hope they fix in the next update.

      @@DrLootCrate yeah I noticed it big time last night when I was making some blueprints myself, man that is annoying, but I also had a fair few belts that didn't work even thought they snapped on and beeped but once I placed it in the world it was no go, had to redo them... quite annoying... but blueprints are still a blessing :D made one for the fused modular frame at 1/min... it was crazy... it ain't one click since the blender doesn't fit but it is very little extra work and I just make the alu casings next to the HMF, quite handy and makes them so much easier to make now... used to hate those factories :D

      @@DrLootCrate You are correct. Blueprints with higher level belts can't be used. I've started making all my blueprints with Mk3. Pretty easy to upgrade the transport lines in most factories when Mk4 & 5 are available. That way I can use them as soon as the Blueprint structure is unlocked.

    Got very big problems when using Blueprints already made in the BP Generator. Your first step (insert 2m foundation) is already the nail in the coffin. Click on save and count to 10. Puff, game crashes and restarts 5 mins ago. Can´t save Blueprints which use blueprints in it self (reproduced it, even with only 1 foundation as a BP, already looked it up in the forums. is unsolved :-/ )
