- In the past few years, several strange tales have come out about the night Jim Morrison died in Paris. Many of the stories leave more questions than answers. Danny Sugerman sets the record straight about why NOHGOA was misleading and what really did happen according to information he recieved from Pamela Courson.

Jim was a poet and like Oscar Wilde the legend outlives the artist. Jim did the work and then it was time to move on. An Artist needs change. and like Wilde's death shortly after his imprisonment, Jim faced a similar situation, but took another path. Thats the purpose he lived for, carry on the legend of the Blues 27 deaths and pass-on the same day as Brian Jones. To the Artist, dates and numbers are key formula for success.

if you want to see an interesting thesis on JM's death and it's aftermath, find the French documentary "Last Days in Paris"......LOADS of interviews and supposed first-hand accounts of the death scene, including Agnes Varda's account. Varda has no reason to lie and spent many years fighting off reporters who wanted the true story. I've spoken with several "close associates" of Jim who claim that he had been snorting heroin since early 1971 in America anyway, irregardless of his Paris activity.
@austinpodann Nope.. there is no "reviving" someone from heart failure and all your organs shutting down... between the heroin and years of alcohol abuse, the damage done to his body was permanent. What he needed was to be around someone that could level out his insanity, making him more down to earth.. instead he lived with someone else that was self destructive.. pretty much a sitting duck.
Mind boggling that he drank what most people probably drink in one to two months. Like a bottle of scotch or vodka a day, six .. eight.. glasses of wine.. close to two dozens beers, in ONE day. Wow where does the madness end? I love to drink but sheez I dont look good as a pickle.
I had no idea Danny had passed away. I really enjoyed his book "Wonderland Avenue".
I'm no scientist, but breathing water would be my diagnosis.
Heroin overdose. Dudes took him back to his place and put him in the bathtub.
This is what i reckon, plus Jim wasnt in the greatest of health at that time which didnt help.
That's nothing, quite typical for an alcoholic. 2 bottles of spirits a day was what Gary Oldman drank when he was an alcoholic.

He was'nt into Herion but jim did take it on the odd occasion. The story goes that he actaully died in the nightclub in paris in the toilet. And was then took home. but who knows i dont think the guy from oregon is jim no way. Could easily be proved. And if he did stage his death. Would he really go back to the states. Don't think so. To well known.
2 people that were in Paris and with Morrison on the day Morrison died also died in 3 yrs or less (Pam Courson and the son of a French Count), Morrison did not have an autopsy ,and a closed casket burial,it is said that on the night Morrison died there was a fight or disturbance at Morrisons apt..,Pam od,d just a few days before the half million dollar inheritance she was to recieve,last but not least Morrison had CIA and FBI files about him and his dangerous influence on fans, very unusual
Yes i've seen it but its all in french which is really frustrating because it seems very in depth. It still doesn't answer the question of why the big cover up and the rush to get him into the ground in such a pathetic burial. If Jim was responsible then why cover up the heroin angle? I think Pam and her french heroin drug king pin lover Jean de Breteuil had a bit more to do with all of this in my opinion.

This all could have been proven by the exhuming of his body but it was denied by the family or someone else. Theres where at least cause of death answers lie.

No he didn't, Brian died in 1969, Jim in 1971.
For indecent exposure, Jim faced six months hard labor in Dade County jail. The sentence was too severe. That's what sapped his will to live. He didn't want to do hard time for a minor offense. Fans scream to see his body. He shows it. Gets arrested. No harm, no foul. Justice denied.

@CrimsonKing73: you're right, it's a great program. Agnes Varda was a good person. Jim was just in the wrong country when he accidently snorted heroin thinking it was coke. In the States, somebody would have been there faster. Well, maybe not, if it happened as they say (middle of the night, alone in the bathtub). Man, what a loss, huh?..................

Well isn't it like Jim to push things to the limit? Just getting high was boring to Jim. He had to get as high as one could possibly get without going over the edge. It's not unthinkable that he may have pushed his syringe a couple cc's too much, or the line a couple mm's too long. It's no surprise at all. Could be that this time he did find the edge. It's something that millions of heroin addicts have done over the years. It's the nature of the drug and the nature of Jim that found each other.

I used to eat 2 bags of potato chips a day, so I can see someone drinking that much. I get it.
Jim Morrison is dead. There's no doubt in my mind about it. I heard from someone with better first hand knowledge than anyone speculating on the matter, that is the case.
It's easier than you think. Jimmy didn't have to wait He just took care of it.

Let Jim RIP. Jim was drunk and went to another room,well Pam got out her heroin and Jim came back in and saw it. He was outraged.Jim did occasionally did cocaine. Pam was so scared,she told Jim it was cocaine,so being Jim,drunk and mad as hell,said well I'll do it then,even knowing it could be heroin. He did a huge amount and with the alcohol,he started to get very much out of it,so Pam made a bath to try and get him out of it. Well the combination was too much and he died. End of story.

at first i thought u meant he drank just a bottle of vodka a day, that is nothing. i don't do that but i could without getting too drunk or sick. either way drinking that much isn't cool or healthy. beer is just inefficient but can taste damn good!!
i used to really like hendrix, morrison, etc but realize we shouldn't flip out over any one person. so many people take it too far. so much more music out there.

I think if he is alive, its somewhere he's happy tranquil at peace comfortable new name, etc doing whatever, he wouldnt dare reappear-itd me a nightmare for him, as for him telling anyone that hes alive, that could go either way-mostly against him, but you never know who hes fond of, its possible 1 or more band members or scores of people do know the full story-to date even, if he's alive, his family,it wouldnt matter if he reappeared, it would just be a nightmare for him

maybe to you or whoever wrote or said that, but theres no mystery at all christ conquered death for us all, death is dead, swallowed up of life, heaven is open for all who receive into their hearts Jesus Christ. If Jesus didnt rise from the dead, life has no meaning, but he did, and all the bible, Gods Word is real, true, heaven hell all of it, Jesus is Lord of all, King of the Universe, there IS NO MYSTERY IN DEATH, thats weak, people have died and come back from the dead......

This does not answer the question that Jim Morrison friends have been asking for over a decade- Who is Bill Loyer? Why does Bill Loyer's wife, a retired medical dr, claim her husband is Jim Morrison? Why do dozens of people from Oregon who met Bill Loyer think he's Jim Morrison? Why did Cliff Morrison send a copy of his cd to Bill Loyer ? etc.
Sugerman staged his death, to go live with morrison after he had to get a new kidney! He is doing well and living near madrid!
