I started to use glossier after baume after the body shop discontinued my day cream back in spring and it took a while to get used to the formula because I had used priming moisturiser rich before and was used to that but I really enjoy it now especially with the recent cold snap in London. I also introduced to my skincare routine the body shop camomile cleansing balm which is amazing at removing make up
I loved the texture even in Australian winter so I can only imagine how helpful it would be in those London temperatures! I miss the city so much at this time of year 🇬🇧🎄 x
Down with a terrible cold and viral fever. Visiting home after so long but can't enjoy fully. Can't sleep and your video came as such a relief. Love the mists!! My favourite product of the year is the Kiehl's midnight serum.
Love seeing your staples being joined by some new favs, Matilda 🥰 I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year ⭐️ Excited to see the Hair & Body favourites in 2024!
The aesthetic of your videos is unmatched! Long time Korean skincare addict, and let me tell you that Cosrx essence is a gem! Hope you're having a great week in Australia, Matilda! Advanced, Merry Christmas to y ou !

Wonderful line-up of products, Matilda! This year I fell in love with a lot of K-beauty skincare, but the Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep & Revive serums top the list. Very soothing and refreshing. Safe travels!
Hi Matilda! Thanks for sharing your skincare faves. Definitely vibing with your lineup as another dry skin girlie who loves some gentle hydration 😊. I just recently got an Omnilux mask myself and have been loving it! Some of my assorted faves this year: The Ordinary glycolipid cream cleanser Cerave hydrating foaming oil cleanser NIOD copper amino isolate serum Laneige cream skin toner Aveeno calm and restore triple oat serum The Inkey List Azelaic acid Drunk Elephant C-Firma fresh day serum Cosrx all in one cream Skinfix triple lipid peptide cream Avene high protection compact spf 50 (this water resistant option has been a lifesaver for sweaty outdoor workouts! I decided to try Beauty Pie this year. So far I am impressed! The standout for me has been the mineral sunscreen. I also really like the anti-aging cream, hyaluronic acid serum for under eyes, lip oil, and cleansers I've tried so far.
I know you do celebrity makeup bags but I would love to see a video on celebrity makeup artist bags like what products they are using on are fav celebs (E.g Nina park)
Hi Matilda, I’ve watched your videos since you started this channel and I’ve tried some of the products you featured. My skincare favourite for this year is Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Moisturiser. My skin looks more even toned, smoother and fades my dark spots with every application. It’s very affordable too..❤
Happy holidays, Matilda!! Loved seeing 3 of my own skincare faves here: COSRx Snail Mucin Essence & Acne Patch (I use the other variant with the black label), & Laneige Cream Skin Mist. I think you might like the Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Lotion. I personally find a little too rich for my combo/sensitive skin, but their regular Gokujyun Hyaluronic Lotion (white bottle) is my holy grail toner. The brand's foaming face wash (from the same line) & cleansing oil are also long-time skincare staples
I wait for these videos all year!🎉 ❤ I’ve tried glow recipe this year and it really suits my skin in year round tropical climate that I live in! And CeraVe when it’s cold. Love both these brands now!❤ so happy that u like Osea too! Yaay!😊
@@matildaonvideo sorry for the delay in responding. I liked all the products I tried from them actually! I got the fruit babies kit which had trial sizes of good number of products plus super handy to travel with them. Hoping u r in US now and can pick one up soon❤️
As a fellow face mist lover I feel obligated to tell you about the Adaptogens mist from Youth to the People! I’ve been through so many bottles in the last couple years. It was almost discontinued and I took it upon myself before I left Sephora to tell everyone about it. It’s just ~that~ good.
I adore Supreme Screen by Ultra Violette. My favourite sunscreen years later. I’m going to Korea next year and keen to try skincare, but I’ll skip sunscreen since I’m so happy with Supreme Screen.
Happy Holidays! Always excited for this time of year videos. You got me really interested in that augustinus bader cream. I have been going through my skincare and now I have just two moisturizers, a mini of skin1004 centella cream and a la roche posay new cicaplast b5 mini. One essence , suncscreen and my trusty retinol. Personally I have been wowed by the super effectiveness and nice feel of guerlain's youth watery oil. That together with cerave hydrating oil cleanser have been able to gentle sooth the perpetual redness around my nose. Also I am getting into reusable cotton rounds. Mine are from cosrx and they are very soft , i feel very pampered when I use them. 😊
Jurlique is an underrated skincare favourite - literally, my skin has been glowing ever since I started using it: I start out with the Radiant Skin Foaming Cleanser then apply the Activating Water Essence. Then my serums, eye care, moisturising cream and skin balancing face oil from the same range. You should definitely review ii!!! You'll love it!
I agree, I've loved the brand for years! Jurlique is made in my home state so I feel very proud ☺️💙 You can find a Beauty Tour video of their beautiful farm on my channel! Glad you enjoy their range too x
Hi Matilda you have really given us more formulas we want to try; also I'm thrilled that we have some brands in common. My face & body routine has become a labour of love especially through my late 20s to early 30s and full of holy grails with a wandering eye for new epic products whether low or mid cost because its all about taking care of my skin to best of my ability and pocket lol while supporting brands that also care about their impact(refills & brands has ethical sourcing/harvesting practices if I can find). Ok here we go on to the marathon lmao(note I don't use all of these together lol)... Cleansers: Farmacy Cleansing balm, Krave Beauty Unwind Cleansing Jelly(both have a gentle smell but removes my makeup so well especially the Krave-its like crack lol, Bioderma Sensible micellar water (found a mini on a whim & I love it), Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser(been using it for years can't do without; the smell and cleansing ability is beautiful) & Panoxyl Cream Cleanser (for keeping up with my acne prevention). Masks: The Ordinary 30% Peeling Solution(great at home peel) & Alpyn Beauty 8 Acid Peel Mask(it's both physical & chemical mask with a gentle clay). Hydrating Toner/Essence/Mist(just picture dancing💃on all these): Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Toner, Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essence, Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Essence, Caudalie Grape mist & Tower 28 SOS mist, Sioris Time is running out mist. Exfoliating toner: YTTP Kombucha AHA Toner & Farmacy BHA toner,PC BHA Toner(will replace with Naturium bha toner). Serums: Iunik Propolis serum, The Ordinary Vit C 8% & Alpha Arbutin Serum, Ranavat Saffron Serum mini (full size🤑), trying out Topicals faded serum & my skin can't do without Tretonion 0.05%. I'll be in Brazil in a few days visiting family; first foreign vacation in a decade.❤
Wow, thank you for taking me on a tour of your skincare routine Vivienne! I can tell you're just as passionate about this topic as I am 😄👏 Safe travels to Brazil! x
The CosrX snail mucin is easily one of my favorites from the brand, but I also fell in love with the Advanced Snail 92 All-in-One Cream version of it after Josh Welsh recommended it in one of his videos! It gets two birds with one stone as it has the benefits of the essence but in moisturizer form. I also love their Centella Blemish Cream, it really helps with breakouts
The video I look forward to the most 😍 thanks as always and I hope you enjoy your holiday! Still #1 on my skincare shelf is Violette FR’s Boum Boum Milk. I think they might have reformulated slightly (I love the first bottle I got when they launched) but I still love BBM to bits
this is always the single best video of the year!!! does the hydrating cleanser produce a lather or does it stay that jelly texture? on the hunt for more non-lathering hydrating cleansers. lots of love matilda !!
Thank you Myfanwy! It makes me so happy that you were so excited for this 🥹🤩 The Allies cleanser does lather slightly when I add water! It's not super bubbly or foamy though, but it does change consistency a little bit. I like massaging it away with water, but you could always stick to using the jelly on dry skin like I do and splash / wipe it off from there x
Happy holidays Matilda and happy new year 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉... i think i will be brave and try the snail musin for new year 😂... i love clinique moisture surge and the smell of caudalie.... like grass after rain❤... i use hada labo for my spf... its nice and creamy but not oily... ok take care xoxo
Also I learned the hard way that anyone allergic to shellfish and crustaceans should tread lightly with snail serum, as snails are in the crustacean family... I'm allergic to both and snail serum made my skin flare and break out
These are great choices and I share your enthusiasm for the Glossier After Baume (I introduced my mom to it this year and she's also a fan!) for slugging! I wonder if you've ever tried Symbiome skincare? I can't stop using their serum (The Answer) and cream (The One) and my skin seems to love this brand! In addition to these, I use a few Typology serums (Vitamin C and Lactic Acid) a few times a week and I adore Violette_Fr's Boum-Boum milky serum for morning. My favorite cleanser of the year, hands-down, was Lisa Eldridge's new one; it's fantastic for dry skin!
Thank you Jane! Thanks for the Symbiome suggestion, I haven't come across it before. I've heard great things about Typology and can't wait to grab Lisa's cleanser in the UK next year! 😍 x
@@matildaonvideo midnight courage is my fav retinoid product. I'm oily but retinol/oids seem to balance my skin out so it works for me despite being an oily formula. Also the fearless serum has been good but it was a limited edition product... From allies i use the peptites cream and barrier recovery balm and love both. I got a couple more products to try this year and I'm excited about the prospect!
Happy holidays to you too Elle! Luxe is the word for it 😱😍 This face oil has been my favourite Furtuna formula for the last couple of years, but their cleanser is right up there now too... Such dreamy textures! x
Can I make a suggestion for celeb make up/skincare for 2024 ahead? Aussie ex pat, now newly crowned Queen Mary of Denmark. Heard somewhere that she’s a big Ole Henriksen fan.
I received the Augustinus Bader cream in a kit, but it was a large sample. I went to irder it and my jaw dropped at the price. Is there a dupe or something semi comparable?
Hi Matilda! I loved your video. I don't mean to be rude in asking but I was wondering, what age range are you? When I watch skincare videos I like to know the age range of the people since I'm in the my late 30s. I also have normal to dry skin. Thank you in advance 😊
Hi there, thank you for watching! Not rude at all, don't worry - I'm in my early 30s ☺️👍 Haven't entered my retinol era just yet but it's nearly time! I bought the Shani Darden and Caroline Hirons formulas so I'll start implementing them into my routine slowly in the next couple of months x
CeraVe Moisturiser and Whamisa CC creams and oils are my new stuff alongside with The Ordinary staples: niacinamide serum and rose hip oil. Shampoos from Léa Nature and Urtekram, sunscreen from trusted Apivita and balm stick from Laouta. Loving La Roche Posay but last summer Uriage mineral face spray water was constantly with me. Supplements also all year round! ❤🎉😊
@@matildaonvideo yes! 90% of my skincare’s from Allies of Skin 😍. It is quite expensive but i have noticed a big difference on my skin. And I always wait for their sale.
It's so cool that you loved Weleda's Skin Food Light this year too! I just tried it in October and was honestly amazed! I love the natural ingredients list and the calming/nourishing effect, even though my skin is normal, it doesn't feel too rich. So glad you enjoy it as well! Wish you all the best in the new year! 🎉❤
Great to hear you enjoyed it too! It was in my favourites last year as well and I'm sure it'll be here again in 2024 😄💚 Thank you, Happy New Year to you too! x
Cosrx pimples patches. I have tried both types. This type from the video is too thick. You should try another with black wording. The patches are thinner can.
Oh no, sorry to hear it wasn't a good fit for your skin! That hasn't happened to me at all luckily. I stick to using it 1-2 nights per week so I don't over-exfoliate (my skin is more sensitive to exfoliation) and only use a small amount, rinsing it off after a minute. I've been so happy with it, but it just reinforces that we can certainly have different experiences with the same product! Thank you for watching ☺️ x
Sadly not Elise, I did play hockey at school but don't follow it now (it's much more popular in the US/Canada than Australia/UK). I was just trying to take the phrase "a drink of water for your skin" and turn it into a bigger drinking vessel 😂💧 I'm actually a Swell bottle person but I feel like Stanley Cups dominate that category! x
I haven't tried any of the reformulations! But I think it's such a shame to change formulas customers loved for so long 😩 I touched on this topic in my Glossier Catch Up video when the brand started shipping internationally back in October x
That left hand is gonna look like the skin of a newborn baby and the right one like an aging pirate. I think it might be jealous !😂 My ocd gets ruffled when things aren’t even, ignore me.

@@matildaonvideo Okay, thank you so much!! 😊
Thank you for sharing your favourites Kat! 💙 x
It will be the Allies of Skin Retinaldehyde and their Multi-peptide with Growth Factor serum
I've heard amazing things about their Growth Factor serum! Glad you're a fan of the brand too ❤️ x
Thank you for the tip! I'll have to take a look at that version next time I'm stocking up 👍 x
I had that Osea cleanser, it was burning my skin when I used it in the shower, it has citrus oils in it.
Wait, Stanley Cup reference!? Are you into hockey!? I may just enjoy you even more for this reference!! 💗
Sadly not Elise, I did play hockey at school but don't follow it now (it's much more popular in the US/Canada than Australia/UK). I was just trying to take the phrase "a drink of water for your skin" and turn it into a bigger drinking vessel 😂💧 I'm actually a Swell bottle person but I feel like Stanley Cups dominate that category! x
Doesn’t matter, I love you and your channel regardless! But the HS hockey background is a fun bonus! Thanks for all you do! ❤
How do you feel about all the reformulations Glossier have done this last year?
I haven't tried any of the reformulations! But I think it's such a shame to change formulas customers loved for so long 😩 I touched on this topic in my Glossier Catch Up video when the brand started shipping internationally back in October x
I really wish that sunscreen brand was in a store near me in Oregon, USA.
I hope they'll be able to expand to the US one day Valarie! 🤞 x
That left hand is gonna look like the skin of a newborn baby and the right one like an aging pirate.
I think it might be jealous !😂
My ocd gets ruffled when things aren’t even, ignore me.
Very true Barbara! 😂 I can't apply product as neatly with my left hand so my right hand sadly misses out altogether when I'm filming haha x
