Over the course of your life, think about how many people you've met... All the coworkers and bosses from every job you've had. All the dates you've gone on, study buddies from high school and college, of course your actual friends and family, old friends, her husband's family, her doctors, husband's doctors, kids doctors, fav food places for easy takeout ordering, etc. If you never delete any contacts, you can probably rack up thousands easily.
Especially if you keep hitting people's cars

I have always deleted contacts overtime that I don’t expect to keep in touch with which is most people lol. I’m afraid of accidentally butt-dialing people I don’t really talk to anymore especially when I am about to delete them! This is a good reminder to go through my contacts.
but if you have icloud, you have to delete it in many different places. i keep trying to delete contacts but it saves every contact via my backup since my first iphone in 2008. good news is, i've never lost any data

My friend had two roommates.She and one roommate got along well ,the other one not so much. The odd girl out texted her friend that she couldn’t wait for her loser roommates to leave for the weekend. She sent the text to one of the ‘loser roommates’ while she was in the same room as them .My friend read the text and asked if there was something she needed to say to them ,she immediately started crying . The other girl had no idea what was happening.

High school friends? College friends? Family? Realitives? Coworkers? Doctor? Dermatologist? Therapist? Etc
How is that possible? Unless you're too young may be. I mean yea, the number of people I may actually contact frequently are probably just 10 or so but contacts accumulate over years from school, work, relatives etc?

I'm not sure she does. She said anyone who was ever stored on her phone. Things get weird with logins and cloud storage. I've had "contacts" suggested to me for LinkedIn or Instagram, and I have no clue who the hell they are. One "contact" was someone I had emailed for tech support for one of my old apps years ago.

487 isn't that much actually, for indian bday parties minimum 1000 ppl will get invited and to weddings around 3000-5000 ppl atleast 🤣btw im 17 currently and for my 1st bday party, around 1.5k ppl were invited which includes fam,friends,relatives,neighbours,co-workers 😄 In our culture, we love to celebrate with many ppl which highlights the entire party!🥳

I have over 1000 contacts in my phone and I'm not even popular or an extrovert, but I've had this phone number for over 20 years, and they just collect there, and never get deleted.
It includes friends and family of course, but it also includes contacts from a prior jobs where I used to run conferences in different cities, and each conference had 4 or 5 contact people for different parts of the event. I have a whole bunch of contractors in there from when I was shopping around for home repairs. I used to be a running coach for a few years, and all my runners are still in my phone.
Deleting them takes effort and leaving them there is the path of least resistance. And every once in a rare while, that information comes in handy.

My ex boss keeps calling me on accident because my name is next to someone she calls all the time in her contacts list. I get to hear from her about once every 6 weeks or so. LOL! If I ever get an evite from her, I'll have to RSVP right away so that we she can send the evite to the correct person.
