Great abyss guide Sevy! I agree this cycle is easier and straightforward than the previous cycles. I was finally able to use my double Geo teams with Itto on first half and Navia on second half. Very fun and enjoyed my fave Geos.
Tbh this abyss is one of the most scuffed for me even with my built Navia, mostly because I'm still getting used to my Navia team rotations (yes it's skill issue lmao) and i almost used random teammates per floor. I ended up being carried by Noelle until floor 12 where i used a Raiden and a Neuvi hypercarry for each half. The Tulpa one shot attacks were CRAZY painful. Tldr, Noelle SHINES in this abyss cycle. I was very happy i got to bring her back from the bench. Thanks for the guide as always, Sevy!
you made me realize that all I needed to beat the spiral abyss was an aggravate team that I overlooked, and I finally got to 36 star it after failing to do so in the 1st half; I really appreciate your help on this!!
Thank you for the tip on 12-1-1, very helpful to reduce the timing. I also struggled with 12-3-1, then used an upgraded version from your 4-star team to stay away from the hydro boss (nahida, EM raiden, fishcl and yaoyao), basically a Hyperbloom at 12-3-1 and super comfy.
Finally a normal abyss and not one solely revolving around shield break meta and grouping enemies by standing around for 12 seconds without doing anything.
thanks for the guide again! I was looking at your traveler’s name yves for the longest time, wondering if there was a special meaning to it. it took me a bit longer than I’d like to admit that it’s sevy backwards 😂
Thank you Sevy 🌅🙂I roughly followed this guide and got 9 stars on Floor 11 for I think only the second time ever since starting to play Genshin. And I've never before got more than 1 star for a monolith chamber. Used Charlotte instead of Chongyun; and Zhongli/Nahida/Shinobu/Fischl.
I used a Navia hypercarry for the first half (Navia, Xiangling, Bennett and Zhongli), and an Ayaka freeze for the second half ( Ayaka, Kazuha, Kokomi, and Furina). It was an easy Spiral Abyss clear and I got my first 36 stars thanks to those teams. Your videos are always super helpful and fun to watch! 💞💞💕💞
Used my Geo Traveler as my main dps on second half of floor 11 and Noelle as my main on first half. Such a good time indeed. For second half it’s GMC, Zhongli, Bennett, and Xiangling. First half was Noelle, Furina, Xingqiu, and Gorou
Very stress-free Spiral Abyss for the New Year. Burgeon Yanfei in the Second Half of Floor 12 is good! She breaks Geo shields with her Charged Attacks! Normal Attacks easy reach the Thunder Bird too!
I felt very skeptical about this, but now that I think about it, her homing attacks should be free overload dmg (I think I've heard that pyro units can't properly vape off of Thunder Manifestation or something like that) and even without on-fielding Nahida and maybe with less consistent burgeon triggers overall (since she may apply too much pyro or not hit the seeds at all cause she can't home on them or both) putting double hydro core will still probably do enough damage since second half doesn't look as tanky. Anyway, you got me interested in playing Yanfei again (especially burgeon archetype, since I barely tried it and never with Yanfei) like in good old low AR times, and I'm all for it
Anytime Thunder bat shows up, I think of Yanfei. I swear I've seen the boss swoosh behind me and the fireball just made a hard pivot and actually flew behind and hit the mark. I love her aimbot fireballs.
It was indeed a pretty chill abyss! I did it in a consecutive run (with some resets) which I’m not able to do that often. I did have Bennett with the Tulpa which meant I got oneshot multiple times but I managed to do it ✊ My teams were Raiden, Fischl, Bennett, Xianging And Al-Haitham, Xingqiu, Yelan, Kuki
I used my favorites teams: Tighnari aggravate first half and Neuvillete freeze team for second. I only got one reset bc one of those annoying geo lawachurls stomped Charlotte 😂 but even those shields couldn't save them, an easy 36*
This is honestly the first time ever since I started playing genshin two years ago that I have made it all the way to 12-3, its just the tulpa that stands in my way from finishing the floor and getting the achievemente plus card. This is also the first time I feel like the abyss is fun enough to attempt (have not even attempted some past rotations) and my teams I usually take are alhaitham hyperbloom (nahida, yelan and kuki) plus ganyu melt (zhongli kazuha bennett). Yes, I refuse to let ganyu go no matter how many other dps characters I get but I may attempt with my Itto team plus Bennett just to see if the Tulpa goes down easier or not.
When I watch your guides, I skip around to the General Tips first so I could test my teams. I used hypercarry Raiden and vape Yoimiya. It didn't go well. I watched the rest of the guide for tips to shave time off and switched my teams so they were similar to yours. I ended up with aggravate Alhaitham and Zhongli national. It was a breeze. I can reason that 1) my hypercarry Raiden isn't built well and 2) Yoimiya is too-much single-targeted for this Abyss, compared to Xiangling. *sigh* Regardless, thanks for the guide! I always look forward to these.
I don't have a great second team... And that damn Thunder Manifestation keeps bothering me so much when i litteraly just need to defeat it after the mechanical boss to totally clean up the floor, the next stages having basic weak ennemies. Yeah i think i‘m going to build more characters, not just the 8 i use the most in overworld.
unironically the geo slimes were the biggest challenge for me cause the only claymore i built was itto and hes geo which means he deals no damage to the slimes and specters
This abyss was actually a lot of fun, first half i used Navia/bennet/albedo/thoma and second half i used eula/furina/yelan/mika Didnt have too much of an issue clearing it which surprised me
My goodness, I've tried using two dendro and two electro on the hydro tulpa. I didn't have Fischl nor Kuki xD I suffered. Then I used Raiden, Nahida, Bennet and Xiangling. Worked like a charm. Constant ER maintained the characters' integrity with their burst eye frame dodge.
to you as well! I'd definitely like to try it out, then I'll see how hooked I'll be! (and more importantly, if I have the time to consistently play it too)
Attending the roll call of people who used to watch Sevy to clear Abyss but now clear it on their own and still come back to watch the vid to see if we picked the same reactions for each side I used Alhaitham Spread on one side (Alhaitham/Nahida/Fischl/Kuki) and Scara hypercarry (Scara/Zhongli/Faruzan/Benny) on the other side. I definitely recommend Scara for second half, he slices through the thunder chicken like butter
This really helped tysm I couldn’t beat the hydro tulpa with yoimiya and bennet since bennet’s burst but pyro application on yoimiya and he always kills me bc of that
Did this with Nilou/Nahida first half and Furina/Neuvillette second half. Tulpa was the only obstacle but after a few resets I learned how to not get killed before it dies. Not optimal teams by any means but I was too lazy to make up better ones and it worked after all.
I was worried when I saw thunder manifestation, but then once I tried it my Wriothesley basically solo'ed it. I remember thunder mani in previous abbysses was a nightmare
@@Yokie05 I used Wriothesley, Albedo cause I was curious to see the abbyss buff in action, Kazuha for grouping in later chambers and Kokomi with thrilling tales. It wasnt a very good team, Id normally use Shenhe instead of Albedo, but it was good enough.
12-2-2 was messing me up with the geo shields as I struggled to bring a team that could efficiently break them and deal good damage, but as it turns out you can just brute force through it with Hyperbloom. Hooray.
It could just be you didn't have enough decently built units yet, and that comes with time (or money). Just focus on building exactly 2 teams first, once you can comfortably clear abyss with maximum stars, you can try and expand your rosters with new teams/new units
I was convinced I wouldn't be able to 36* abyss anymore when I saw the line-up, I'm a bit traumatized from the first time Thunder Manifestation Birdy was in abyss back in Inazuma and absolutely wiped the floor with me 😅 In the end, that was one of the easiest rooms and my biggest issue was just how tanky the Tulpa was.
Weirdly enough I had a MUCH harder time with this abyss than the previous two by a mile. Not sure if it was my bad team building or what, but thanks for the guide, I'll go.. beat my head against it some more I guess.
Bennett / Xiangling / Klee / Albedo Baizhu / Xingqiu / Yelan / EM Raiden Forgot how hard Tulpa can one-shot, but some focused dodging made top half go really fast. Klee team being able to vape Tulpa carried on time, which I'm not used to. Hyperbloom on bottom was fine as always. Got slowed down by geo shields on 12-2, but had enough time to brute force them. Smooth ride targeting 12-1 and 12-3.
I enjoyed this abyss: Raiden National on the first side and Noelle + Furina hyperbloom on the other. I got stuck on the big hydro boss though and had to drop Xingqiu for Zhongli.
The Hydro Tulpa gave me the hardest time because my DPS are usually uses Hydro. This time around I uses Navia, Bennett, Xiangling, and Zhongli to finally get the final star. The other side was actually pretty straightforward when I use Nilou super bloom team.
Not even one second into the video and Kuki is ascending to Celestia. This is going to be a fun abyss. Maybe the first one where I reach the bottom for the first time.
It is funny I also said something like that 4 months ago, and that abyss was way easier than this one. It is just your skills and teams got better :)

And Al-Haitham, Xingqiu, Yelan, Kuki
I used my favorites teams: Tighnari aggravate first half and Neuvillete freeze team for second. I only got one reset bc one of those annoying geo lawachurls stomped Charlotte 😂 but even those shields couldn't save them, an easy 36*
Sevy Happy New Year!!! Like your guide
hydro tul;a hits like a truck
thunder manifestation was annoying, the rest was manageable. I'm so happy that I didn't need to break so many elemental shields any more :)
this is what im waiting for😭😭 the hydro tulpa is so hard for me
use hyperbloom in the first part
i brought 2 dendro characters for it😂
nahida kuki dmc flex : easy win
I had to use Hutao and zhongli for that
This is honestly the first time ever since I started playing genshin two years ago that I have made it all the way to 12-3, its just the tulpa that stands in my way from finishing the floor and getting the achievemente plus card. This is also the first time I feel like the abyss is fun enough to attempt (have not even attempted some past rotations) and my teams I usually take are alhaitham hyperbloom (nahida, yelan and kuki) plus ganyu melt (zhongli kazuha bennett). Yes, I refuse to let ganyu go no matter how many other dps characters I get but I may attempt with my Itto team plus Bennett just to see if the Tulpa goes down easier or not.
thank you! amazing guide!!
PS . you made a chongyun main proud 😭. prove the haters wrong!
Pyro/geo Navia team for the first half, hyperbloom+noelle for the 2nd. This round of abyss is pretty easy.
*sigh*
Regardless, thanks for the guide! I always look forward to these.
Sevy, can u make guides klike this for MoC in HSR?
Happy New Year! Wishing more Alhaitham content for you this year, he has to appear in an event soon, lol! Getting his TCG card video when? Winkwink 😂😂
I don't have a great second team... And that damn Thunder Manifestation keeps bothering me so much when i litteraly just need to defeat it after the mechanical boss to totally clean up the floor, the next stages having basic weak ennemies. Yeah i think i‘m going to build more characters, not just the 8 i use the most in overworld.
unironically the geo slimes were the biggest challenge for me cause the only claymore i built was itto and hes geo which means he deals no damage to the slimes and specters
i hate the hydro tulpa when that thing summon litle one. i died so many times bcs i didn't pay attention enough to that litle tulpa
This abyss was actually a lot of fun, first half i used Navia/bennet/albedo/thoma and second half i used eula/furina/yelan/mika
Didnt have too much of an issue clearing it which surprised me
I am glad now that the Tulpa was the boss for Furina's drops. It beat me up so much while farming for her that i learned how to dodge it properly.
I'm aware abyss cycles cater towards new characters but having Navia just makes you dominate this abyss cycle.
My goodness, I've tried using two dendro and two electro on the hydro tulpa. I didn't have Fischl nor Kuki xD
I suffered.
Then I used Raiden, Nahida, Bennet and Xiangling. Worked like a charm.
Constant ER maintained the characters' integrity with their burst eye frame dodge.
Nothing but love sevy happy 2024! Are you planning to cover wuvering waves in 2024?
to you as well! I'd definitely like to try it out, then I'll see how hooked I'll be! (and more importantly, if I have the time to consistently play it too)
fair enough i'll be on the lookout for the uploads! Thanks again for the video and have a great rest of your day sevy!@@SevyPlays
good stuff as always
This abyss was not too bad but goddamn those Hydro Tulpa vapes are no joke if you bring Bennett 😮
This is probably the easiest spiral abyss. Each floor, except floor 12, literally only took me seconds to clear. I was shocked 😳
This abyss is easier than I expected. Raiden aggravated and ganyu freeze works perfectly for me
1st - XQ, Nahida, Kuki, Alhaitham
2nd - Furina, Jean, John Li, Neuvi
XQ is a bit useless in the 3rd phase...
Attending the roll call of people who used to watch Sevy to clear Abyss but now clear it on their own and still come back to watch the vid to see if we picked the same reactions for each side
I used Alhaitham Spread on one side (Alhaitham/Nahida/Fischl/Kuki) and Scara hypercarry (Scara/Zhongli/Faruzan/Benny) on the other side. I definitely recommend Scara for second half, he slices through the thunder chicken like butter
This abyss, wanderer and yoimiya mains gonna enjoi floor 12 abyss 🤧✌
I'm glad you mentioned him. I've been wanting to get him up to par and this feels like a good boss to benchmark him with.
What teams did tou use on him? Melt?
@@Yokie05 I used Wriothesley, Albedo cause I was curious to see the abbyss buff in action, Kazuha for grouping in later chambers and Kokomi with thrilling tales.
It wasnt a very good team, Id normally use Shenhe instead of Albedo, but it was good enough.
i got my first 36 star this abyss! thanks for the tips!
Additional tip for Floor 12, you can bring an overload team to 2nd half, as Overload is considered blunt DMG, breaking Geo Shields
Thanks for the video so helpful as always , one thing there kind of small beep sound in background or maybe its me idk check 5:55
12-2-2 was messing me up with the geo shields as I struggled to bring a team that could efficiently break them and deal good damage, but as it turns out you can just brute force through it with Hyperbloom. Hooray.
GIRL TYYY IVE BEEN struggling with floor 11 chamber 3 😭
@@ErenJeager1789 bruh who are you 😭 I’m literally trying to get better and testing new teams
@@ErenJeager1789 average eren fan
@@ErenJeager1789absolutely no need to be a prick. Mature a little mate.
It could just be you didn't have enough decently built units yet, and that comes with time (or money). Just focus on building exactly 2 teams first, once you can comfortably clear abyss with maximum stars, you can try and expand your rosters with new teams/new units
@@ErenJeager1789 still immature. Typical really. Can’t argue properly so you become childish. Again. Nice
I was convinced I wouldn't be able to 36* abyss anymore when I saw the line-up, I'm a bit traumatized from the first time Thunder Manifestation Birdy was in abyss back in Inazuma and absolutely wiped the floor with me 😅
In the end, that was one of the easiest rooms and my biggest issue was just how tanky the Tulpa was.
The only thing that challenged me this abyss was 12-2 cus i kept getting a few seconds short but overall a chill abyss
me who have c6 characters and still watching her guide for no reason, great vid as always ❤
As helpful as always
Juss wondering, when are you going to do MOC runs or is it not a plan for now?
Thank you. Which Chongyun build for this?
Weirdly enough I had a MUCH harder time with this abyss than the previous two by a mile. Not sure if it was my bad team building or what, but thanks for the guide, I'll go.. beat my head against it some more I guess.
Bennett / Xiangling / Klee / Albedo
Baizhu / Xingqiu / Yelan / EM Raiden
Forgot how hard Tulpa can one-shot, but some focused dodging made top half go really fast. Klee team being able to vape Tulpa carried on time, which I'm not used to.
Hyperbloom on bottom was fine as always. Got slowed down by geo shields on 12-2, but had enough time to brute force them. Smooth ride targeting 12-1 and 12-3.
I recently quit genshin but still love your vids.
Thanx for that
Why you quit?
@@N1CKczemN1CK it got a bit boring for me and mostly fr studies
I enjoyed this abyss: Raiden National on the first side and Noelle + Furina hyperbloom on the other.
I got stuck on the big hydro boss though and had to drop Xingqiu for Zhongli.
The Hydro Tulpa gave me the hardest time because my DPS are usually uses Hydro. This time around I uses Navia, Bennett, Xiangling, and Zhongli to finally get the final star. The other side was actually pretty straightforward when I use Nilou super bloom team.
Furina , nahida (prototype amber) , yae miko, mona (prototype amber). Im having a blast, right up there with the top teams
