I honestly think you should have a f2p dmg comparison for the meta teams where you only get 2 c0 5 stars but also any 4 star over c2 should also count as a c0 5 star as they are also difficult to obtain. Then, the true nature of how badly some of these teams get carried by money will show

Bad for speed running, but outside of it a burst offers invulnerability for however many seconds it lasts. Could you imagine the burst animation not being a thing with how much damage it gives though? It'd completely change the meta.

Kazuha doesn't swirl pyro off tulpa or himself. Kazuha's C6 gives him an anemo infusion, and Bennett gives him a pyro infusion. This triggers a pyro swirl on his sword which hits tulpa and reduces pyro resistance. I am not joking. Elemental reactions on your weapon is an actual mechanic in this game.

@@biomega8230there's a different between "infusion" and "elemental absorption". Infusion is the state where ur weapon coated with elemental (Kazuha's C6 does this, also Bennett C6, Kamisato Ayaka's Senho, and another characters skill). Meanwhile elemental absorption is something whereby your anemo element inflicted by another element that made it absorbed. Also, swirl reaction doesnt share the same effect as absorbed element. Thats why even tho your Kazuha's burst or skill being "pyro" it doesn't really swirl pyro sometimes. If u see, theres 3 dmg type by anemo that can absorb the element 1. Anemo dmg 2. Absorbed elemental dmg 3. Swirl dmg (sometimes wont shows the dmg, but take the effect who made the area of the element more wider by bounced it all over the area) The one who can activate 4 VV Shred is only swirl, not absorbed element. Kazuha's C6 made his sword Infused by Anemo, and Bennett C6 made his sword infused by Pyro, the swirl reaction triggered in his sword without showing dmg, but it really do bounced the area of the effect into enemies around, thats how it works.

That Bennett, Fischl, Xiangling, Chevreuse team was really something to see. While the boss is limiting in certain ways, it also allows strange strategies like that one to really shine. Very interesting stuff 😆

4:39 its very minor, but instead of spamming E 4 times, Nilou can activate her passive quicker by using E-NA-NA-E since the NA animations are quicker than E
even with a 5 star animation she would only lose 2 seconds...would still be better than xiangling DPS. XL also benefits from no 5 star animation frames. so this argument is moot
what also helped is that the other characters on her team were all 4 stars with very short burst animations so those couple of seconds put her way up in the chart. also, i believe she just frontloads dmg way faster than xiangling does which is why she beat her. that was still crazy to see tho, Chev is an amazing 4 star i wish i could get her! i did 70 pulls didn't get her once :(
As IWTL pointed out, Chevy did so well because you're not meant to vape her skill while also having all the buffs up. Despite that, I did not expect her skill damage to go THIS high... Wow!
Well you both are correct and wrong, because both pyro triggering melt, and hydro triggering vape has the same x2 multiplier. Both have it's reverse which has a 1.5x multiplier.

To me personally, hyper carry teams are always the ones that impress me. Raiden, Wanderer and Xiao impressed me a lot being able to compete with the reaction teams. I am the “Give me the buff and let me take care of the rest for you” type of person so I am always biased to the Hyper carry teams. This was a fun one.

Would be much faster if Tulpa summoned the small creature right at the beginning of the battle, but oh well that is the boss' kit. Should just be grateful that Xiao's c6 is at least accessible against it
@@Cocxy69 yes, wanderer dpsed from 6:11 to 9:30 and took down 2m HP during those 3s. Burst animation took until 11s and took down only 0.5m in 2s, but if he just continued spamming, he would very likely to be 1s faster
@@ayanokoji9608 I have him c2. It's still dps loss. You will have to wait till the last sec to use it so it does good dmg, so mostly you just use it for the show off because that thing was going to drop dead before the E finishes
the c6 kazuha shenanigan happens due to the fact that the sword gets swirled as it gains an anemo infusion and the pyro one by bennet, meaning that you can also swirl cryo with chongyun and c6 kazuha
I’m extremely impressed with the Alhaitham, Tighnari, and Nilou runs considering all of these teams are at a huge disadvantage. Wriothesley impressed me too considering he couldn’t melt or take advantage of res shred, and of course Chevreuse also shocked me It would’ve been nice to see how Neuvillette and Furina would preform in a challenge like this, but sadly the boss is immune to hydro lol It would be nice to see a similar video but with a boss that hydro characters and spread characters can actually work against lol

Xiangling is hyperbuffed this abyss because you can guoba swirl on tulpa for pyro swirl but also her burst sometimes hits twice on big bosses so you get a lot more pyronado hits
I just used the Rational team against Tulpa. A fun variation would be replacing Xingqiu with Nahida. Just gotta make sure you dodge the majority of his attacks or get behind him when doing his swing attacks.
@@crownedking_cj8890 Raiden does have some interruption resistance, but she can still be smacked around or staggered with a hard enough hit. Not to mention that Tulpa can vaporize your team thanks to the pyro aura from Benny.
the entire video i was like "hmm? wheres lyney? no way hes not on here" and then i saw first place 😂 the chevreuse run really was jaw dropping though holy
maybe they really know what they're doing. They might like the f2p players to finish the game with only 4 stars. just like now, chevreuse was added making another great 4 star character to add to the roster of already great 4 stars.
i found myself doing the same thing against the tulpa with various teams. i’m far from the speedrun community since i started 14 months ago but it’s something that is catching my interest so love this vid. only thing is that i wish the builds and cons were shared. anyways, purely for fun, i was able to get 18 seconds with c1r1 hu tao, c6 oppa with catch, c4 benny, and c2 furina on wolf-fang i doubt it’s the most optimal team and i wasn’t serious, but it did make me stoked to get that time. hope to see more of these
Khazuha will prioritize swirling Pyro, standing in Bennett's circle applies Pyro to the character, which Khazuha then swirls off himself, this is possible with any constellation Khazu or Bennett
So I think I know what's happening with c6 Kazuha and the pyro swirl. Basically, when characters infuse their melee weapons with an element they are doing something mechanically similar to what happens when you apply an element to a mob (or yourself for that matter). Because swirl is aoe, and vv only requires the mob to get hit by the swirl itself, when Kazuha uses his plunge his c6 infusion swirls off of the pyro on his sword from Bennett's ult infusion.
I don’t think you need c6 kazuha to pull off pyro swirl? Due to bennett applying pyro to the on-field character, Kazuha swirls the pyro on himself instead of the hydro tulpa. And priority wise it also makes sense as pyro swirl is more prioritized than hydro.
there's a difference between a pyro swirl and a pyro infusion. Kazuha making his plunge pyro after skill is an infusion, it does pyro damage, not pyro swirl damage, there's a difference. The same thing happens with his and Sucrose's burst, and Sayu's skill
It will go down to how many constellation they have for the Versus: At c0 it's Ayaka, At c1 it's Wriothesley, At c6 it depends on what you are using them but it should be Wriothesley just due to the versatility of not relying on E. Burst for full damage,

Dps showdowns are about dps as the name says. And not "relying" on burst is such an outdated mindest since it's 2024 and we should know to battery units by now..
It’s not, the swirl happened at the weapon. It’s only possible with c6 ben and c6 kazuha. It’s the anemo and pyro that was infused onto kazuha’s weapon that swirled pyro swirl reaction dmg that triggered the buff/debuff. To prove it u can use elemental sight to observe the rapid change in colour on kazuha’ weapon. This special interaction only happens if the resulting skill/talent does not mention ‘infusion cannot be overridden’.
Razor language: kazuha weapon reacted pyro + anemo, swirled pyro dmg onto enemy, triggered anemo set effect Also note that kazuha’s talent is not triggered = no pyro bonus is provided
@@Yelans_Shenhe there’s a misconception here, even if Kazuha’s field turned pyro (by contacting kazuha’s body pyro aura), it doesn’t necessarily trigger pyro shred or talent pyro bonus. When kazuha’s field turn pyro, what it does is to do an additional instance of pyro dmg which can perform reaction, which is normally swirled by the original anemo dmg instance to trigger VV set and talent. It is not possible however when the enemy has permanent hydro aura, as the hydro aura completely vaporise the pyro element immediately before an anemo dmg can swirl it.
in cn current fastest clear time for hydro tulpa is lyney's 7s, and fastest top half clear time for this abyss circle is lyney's 35s(3 chambers consecutively) second half is neuvillette's 24s
The amount of money all these speed runners have given Hoyoverse for all these 6 constellation characters and weapons could fund a small country for months.
Curious to know if Lyney was buffed or nerfed by the fact that the hydro tulpa cant have pyro aura. With a pyro aura-able enemy, he can run atk sands instead of em, and he gains access to +100% dmg bonus from his A4, and +40% dmg bonus from kazuha A1. He can run MH/SR too for extra CV/+50% NA dmg bonus on final nuke. Benny can run noblesse too. On the other hand, perma hydro aura enemy means em sands + instructor bennett (300-350EM?), CW (+22.5% pyro dmg, +15% vape dmg) , and ofc the 1.5x base vape multiplier.
Lyney vape is incredible. I play him with furina bennet and Zhongli and he destroys everything. He's so good. Also it makes me unbelievably happy to see him do better than Hu Tao, I can't stand the people who say shes so much better than him.

Interesting to see a challenge that allows pyro characters to shine so much, unlike the previous ones. Really shows how overgeared the dendro teams are, to perform so highly without even their main power, aggravate. Also this is the exact kind of challenge to showcase chevreuse, invalidating furina and kazuha.

The sheer damage buff more than makes up for it…. You could always use her as a healer for this one

the c6 kazuha shenanigan happens due to the fact that the sword gets swirled as it gains an anemo infusion and the pyro one by bennet, meaning that you can also swirl cryo with chongyun and c6 kazuha

I’m extremely impressed with the Alhaitham, Tighnari, and Nilou runs considering all of these teams are at a huge disadvantage. Wriothesley impressed me too considering he couldn’t melt or take advantage of res shred, and of course Chevreuse also shocked me
It would’ve been nice to see how Neuvillette and Furina would preform in a challenge like this, but sadly the boss is immune to hydro lol

Xiangling is hyperbuffed this abyss because you can guoba swirl on tulpa for pyro swirl but also her burst sometimes hits twice on big bosses so you get a lot more pyronado hits
I just used the Rational team against Tulpa. A fun variation would be replacing Xingqiu with Nahida. Just gotta make sure you dodge the majority of his attacks or get behind him when doing his swing attacks.
Not really reiden has interruption resistance, and Benny with hp build on nobless is great

@@crownedking_cj8890 Raiden does have some interruption resistance, but she can still be smacked around or staggered with a hard enough hit. Not to mention that Tulpa can vaporize your team thanks to the pyro aura from Benny.

i found myself doing the same thing against the tulpa with various teams.
i’m far from the speedrun community since i started 14 months ago but it’s something that is catching my interest so love this vid. only thing is that i wish the builds and cons were shared.
anyways, purely for fun, i was able to get 18 seconds with c1r1 hu tao, c6 oppa with catch, c4 benny, and c2 furina on wolf-fang
i doubt it’s the most optimal team and i wasn’t serious, but it did make me stoked to get that time.

Khazuha will prioritize swirling Pyro, standing in Bennett's circle applies Pyro to the character, which Khazuha then swirls off himself, this is possible with any constellation Khazu or Bennett

C6 Kazuha is so cracked in this situation with Pyro teams, I try with c0 Kazuha and it didn't work as expected.
They're lucky Neuvillete not able to do summ to the tulpa
So I think I know what's happening with c6 Kazuha and the pyro swirl. Basically, when characters infuse their melee weapons with an element they are doing something mechanically similar to what happens when you apply an element to a mob (or yourself for that matter). Because swirl is aoe, and vv only requires the mob to get hit by the swirl itself, when Kazuha uses his plunge his c6 infusion swirls off of the pyro on his sword from Bennett's ult infusion.
I don’t think you need c6 kazuha to pull off pyro swirl? Due to bennett applying pyro to the on-field character, Kazuha swirls the pyro on himself instead of the hydro tulpa. And priority wise it also makes sense as pyro swirl is more prioritized than hydro.
C6 not needed
there's a difference between a pyro swirl and a pyro infusion. Kazuha making his plunge pyro after skill is an infusion, it does pyro damage, not pyro swirl damage, there's a difference. The same thing happens with his and Sucrose's burst, and Sayu's skill

A while back during ayakas 1st rerun he asked if we wanted one. We said yes and has yet to release a dps showdown with ayaka since her first run
It will go down to how many constellation they have for the Versus:
At c0 it's Ayaka,
At c1 it's Wriothesley,
At c6 it depends on what you are using them but it should be Wriothesley just due to the versatility of not relying on E. Burst for full damage,

That’s what I was thinking, plus even if hydro tulpa is infused hydro itself, pyro swirl is prioritized over hydro swirl.
It’s not, the swirl happened at the weapon. It’s only possible with c6 ben and c6 kazuha. It’s the anemo and pyro that was infused onto kazuha’s weapon that swirled pyro swirl reaction dmg that triggered the buff/debuff. To prove it u can use elemental sight to observe the rapid change in colour on kazuha’ weapon. This special interaction only happens if the resulting skill/talent does not mention ‘infusion cannot be overridden’.
Razor language:
kazuha weapon reacted pyro + anemo, swirled pyro dmg onto enemy, triggered anemo set effect
Also note that kazuha’s talent is not triggered = no pyro bonus is provided
@@Yelans_Shenhe there’s a misconception here, even if Kazuha’s field turned pyro (by contacting kazuha’s body pyro aura), it doesn’t necessarily trigger pyro shred or talent pyro bonus.
When kazuha’s field turn pyro, what it does is to do an additional instance of pyro dmg which can perform reaction, which is normally swirled by the original anemo dmg instance to trigger VV set and talent. It is not possible however when the enemy has permanent hydro aura, as the hydro aura completely vaporise the pyro element immediately before an anemo dmg can swirl it.
Elemental absorption (on skill/ burst) ≠ guaranteed swirl to trigger passive or VV set

Curious to know if Lyney was buffed or nerfed by the fact that the hydro tulpa cant have pyro aura.
With a pyro aura-able enemy, he can run atk sands instead of em, and he gains access to +100% dmg bonus from his A4, and +40% dmg bonus from kazuha A1. He can run MH/SR too for extra CV/+50% NA dmg bonus on final nuke. Benny can run noblesse too.
On the other hand, perma hydro aura enemy means em sands + instructor bennett (300-350EM?), CW (+22.5% pyro dmg, +15% vape dmg) , and ofc the 1.5x base vape multiplier.
I believe it's still better overall to have pema pyro aura, especially since Kazuha C6 IIRC can swirl Pyro anyways.

Lyney vape is incredible. I play him with furina bennet and Zhongli and he destroys everything. He's so good. Also it makes me unbelievably happy to see him do better than Hu Tao, I can't stand the people who say shes so much better than him.

Interesting to see a challenge that allows pyro characters to shine so much, unlike the previous ones. Really shows how overgeared the dendro teams are, to perform so highly without even their main power, aggravate.
Also this is the exact kind of challenge to showcase chevreuse, invalidating furina and kazuha.
