yeah i was able to cheese that side easily with Neuvillette because none had any immunities. if aerodrake was replaced with wolf however i wouldn't even bother with that cycle
They weren't nearly as frustrating as they were last time. With the number of people that have picked up Navia I bet the Wolflord wouldn't be complained about nearly as much either.
I only got my first 36 star on the last version of the Abyss, so I feel I might rage quit already if I can't beat the Wenut and ruin serpent. I'll try my best at least
Edit: I did my first attempt: 2 stars in the first floor, 1 in the second, 3 in the third. I will try again later mixing up teams and seeing what works and what doesn't, but for now, I need to sleep.

I love not being able to hit enemies in this time based trial, such a well designed and fun game this is.
at least they put them together, so next rotation will be easy :)
nevermind I take it back, raiden national and neuv team destroys everything, this is the first time i managed to 3star the last floor with more than a minute remaining
it isn't badly designed just because you have skill issue
@@Purplanne idk, I feel like artificially increasing the difficulty by making the bosses immune for a long period of time rather than making actually challenging boss mechanics is a poor design choice. If the bosses had more intricate attack patterns and gimmicks that had to be interacted with, the abyss would be so much more fun and actually rewarding.
@@Purplanne there's next to zero skill needed for time based challenges with damage sponge enemies in ANY game. Unless you call getting the right characters from gacha and farming a skill
Neuvillete is a godsend in the second half since he doesn’t really care how much the bosses move
oh yes and his lasers can take out the orbs of the wenut making it easy to defeat it... moreover he can shoot from relatively far away thus u don't need much running towards where the wenut would appear to hit it... and in the small windows where the wenut poke out of the ground neuvilette E-CA can quickly deal alot of dmg to it..

I got 9 stars character at lv 90 talent 8-8-8 still cannot get 36 at spiral .stoped at floor11😢😢 now i deleted my artefak 109 of then to try other arte 😢😢
Bruh don't delete artifacts!! If you lv then up they cost 200k gold each , just farm for more 5 stars and put the bad rolls into them, also use Abox for bad ones

@@brofourtwenty2143 it might be if you have good enough dmg the worms don't even need good mechanic to defeat just big pp dmg, I 36 star last abyss but this shit worms and the drake is hard because I need bow character for the drake and I don't have any good bow characters
@@cronus3920can't say anything about the worms, i had to whip out my neuvillette team to 3 star 12-2 and it was still difficult (i usually don't use him in abyss because i like playing other teams more like navia double geo/pyro kequing aggravate or childe international) but except for that chamber in particular the rest is pretty easy, if you need a bow character for the ruin drake i recommend you just slap full hp artifacts and any energy recharge bow on diona c6 and she will contribute a lot of stuff like shield, stamina consumption reduction, heal, slow cryo application, great energy battery for cryo and decent for others and em (only if c6), you can use her as a general healer in almost any dendro team since her application is slow and won't ruin other reactions too much and the em from her c6 can actually be helpfull to other party members, other recommended options that you can run on low budget are fischl, just slap 4pc golden troupe with decent crit ratio and she'll output decent damage while being really flexible for any team that wants high electro application and single target dmg or any off field dmg dealer and providing grat energy battery for any team, last and most desperate option is to just run collei with as much energy recharge as you can and some atk and crit artefacts and just use her in whatever dendro team as some sort of battery and off field dendro applier and dmg dealer but she won't be as good as fischl for team dmg and won't apply enough dendro for bloom based team and her battry potential is lower than that of diona and fischl but since she is free and everyone has her i felt like including her too
@@brofourtwenty2143 Easier? Let's not forget wenut has 55% res to everything, a whopping 1.5M HP and is constantly hiding underground. And the ONE time you actually get to do sh*t, he's only stunned for... 10 seconds.

I don't know if it's been mentioned already but if you bring Bennett on first half of Chamber 12, his self-applied Pyro during his burst, means that you really need to keep an eye on the Breacher Primus' Dendro attacks

If you are using any fontaine characters, then do a ousia attack. That should reset them. I use Wriothesley's burst to disable them.

If u use his skill after burst you will start to burn their aura before they can even shoot you. It’s takes a long time for them to start shooting unlike the last time they appeared where they instantly start to charge up.
i still wonder how people with only 4 star do it easy, and then there's me with 5 stars characters and weapons, good build, but struggle to do it

Don't underestimate 4 star character they very strong 😅😅
4 star is not the same as F2P. They also use the most cracked artifacts that they have maxed out. So it doesn't really matter if 4 star or not since the artifacts, weapons, level 90 characters and maxed out skill talents and constellations and is what makes all the difference.
Their 4 star characters are stronger than everyone else's 5 stars due to the above.

Surprisingly, it didn't take me too long to 36 star this time. I still remember your guide last time wenut was in the abyss so it really helped that the pattern was the same!
I skipped floor 12 cuz my mental is more important i get stressed easily and it's not worth it

Sevy’s videos on the abyss are always the easiest to understand, most concise, all with graphics and team comp examples and enemy grouping strats
Speaking as a day 1 player that took 2 breaks and a very occasional spender, this Abyss is the second time in a row I've scored 36 stars and I just want to share that it felt amazing.
Best part about it is that I did it with the characters and teams I dedicated myself to build, some of them are considered meta, while others not so much. Thanks to this abyss I now feel like I can take on whatever the game throws at me and I can truly now pull for whatever characters I want because now I got a good foundation. I wouldn't have gotten this far if it weren't for Sevy's guides, so I genuinely thank you for all the effort you've put out on every single video!!

What teams did you use?
@@Sergmanny46 Overall my teams were Nilou-Nahida-Kirara-Kokomi, Layla-Lyney-XL-Bennett, Thoma-Baizhu-Raiden-Furina, with the last one replacing Thoma for XQ on the last floor in order to use Hyperbloom for single target dmg for the worms and dragon
Ayaka freeze, Raiden national, nahida hyperbloom, navia hypercarry, keqing aggravate, tighnari spread, ganyu melt, furina monohydro, hutao vaporize, this abyss is very flexible. I'm really enjoying the fact that bosses are separated from crowd enemies. It's even easier and better than the previous abyss, we have lots of possibilities. We'll done sevy👍
i think nilou main will have a hard time against that dendro shield enemies. i haven't tried it with nilou bloom tho
@@kiya_zra in that case for nilou I used yelan yaoyao nahida nilou. My yelan dps can destroy them easily. If you have xingqiu, try him too. You can also try nahida furina nilou kokomi, it can work too. Good luck.
@@david_connors7031 thankss for the advice! I've never tried 3 hydro bloom team. though, my yelan is used for alhaitham team on the second half. Will try with the other hydro (kkomi and xingqiu, i don't have furina)
I solo the 1 half with c0 r0 Neuvillette and i did the 2 half with Yae agravatte
@@kiya_zra I used Koko, Nilou, Nahida and Collei, the dendro shields weren't a problem at all
Tip for the Ruin Serpent: I'm pretty sure this is at least 90% accurate with the amount of times I fought it but you can actually prevent the Ruin Serpent from doing the Vortex/Black Hole move by STICKING CLOSE TO IT. When it dives down, you basically follow its tail then it would basically do other animation when it goes out of the ground.
It doesn't matter if you follow the tail or not as long as you're close it (like how Sevvy didn't follow it but before it finished the burrowing animation, her character was close to its head) but it's easier to just follow it.

Mono-Hydro with Kokomi, Furina, Yelan and Kazuha just shreds through all bosses on Floor 12
First half as well! That's where I ran it on my clear. Such a comfy strong team
now mono hydro furina yelan xingqiu with Xianyun as the driver will do even more damage

I finally got my first abyss 12 scaramouche 36 star clear after having him since release! I'm so happy! I love your videos, Sevy!
First half of Floor 12 is spamming 2 enemies at a time. Beidou is eating well.
Also worth noting, if you apply Cryo to Wenut, you may change some of its attack patterns because Cryo slows down Wenut's animations and it has to perform certain actions at certain time intervals, meaning it may skip an action if the previous action went too slowly that the time bleeds into a much later time interval.
I used to do this at its previous debut in abyss and saw that cryo slowed it down. Does the trick still work this time? Cuz I told my friend this and he said applying cryo did nothing
the attack pattern is still the same no matter how many times i repeated it, i have a footage in Pulling for Shenhe video of mine that had me fight the wenut with an ayaka team at the very end
I love your abiss guides so much, I always watch them even tough Ive been playing since patch 1.0 and don't need to full clear with 4 stars I find it sooooooo cool that you do it, makes me wanna try it too haha

these guides have been super duper helpful, thank you for consistently putting these out!! i dont know why but this abyss went really smoothly for me it's like the second time i've ever 36 starred it and that too on the first try. for those struggling with floor 12, if you've got these units i'd really recommend beidou neuvillette furina jean (or sayu) for the first half and yelan xingqiu kuki and nahida (or dmc) for the second half. beidou + neuvilette was really good in the first half because beidou's super strong against 2 enemies and using neuvillette to aim at 2 enemies is also easier. yelan + xingqiu double hydro's biggest downside is the single target nature but since second half is all single boss targets it works perfectly. yelan's helpful for the ruin drake and the wenut as well. good luck!!

Imo Wenut is the most problem-causing out of the three bosses here, My experience with it in the last abyss he was in was terrible, but i learned its attack patterns and the order of its appearances, so this time i was more confident and beat him in my 2nd attempt!
Also some advice: you only lower Wenut resistance to the element you destroy its orbs with(can be two different elements). so Dendro/Geo dps is at disadvantage. If you apply cryo to Wenut, its attack pattern will change, because cryo slows enemies.

In was really impressed by the reverse melt. Also helped me understand I can build xiangling better since I was confused on her crit values and how much em and Er she should have. I currently only have C1 but we’ll get c6 eventually!
General tip for the Floor 12 First Half, Neuvillette or any Fontaine characters w/ pneuma-aligned arkhe will help you clear abyss faster since they can disable ousia-aligned enemies easily. Plus it can also immediately remove the Breacher Primus' shield.

Furina's summons also take down the Aeonblight Dragon.
I took Neuvillette-Furina-Kazuha-Baizhu for Floor 12 second half, and stood in front of the dragon, and went like, shoot. But before I could look, Furina had already taken it down😂

For me furina didn't do anything to take it down. I don't know if it is a bug of somethng, but when it flyes it is almost untouchable without bow users. I had to use zhongli pillar to elevate myself and then hit it with navia E from close distance to take it down

After I recovered from PTSD strike from seeing the F12 lineup I just shredded it with Nilou/Nahida first half and Furina/Neuvillette second half. I couldn't believe how much these few units have changed the game for me.
Thank God Hyperbloom exists I swear it carried me in the 2nd Half especially the auto atk of furina's pets to have consistent dmg since I dont have Neuvi yet.

If I wanted to troll the Genshin hardcore playerbase after the controversy of the lantern right rewards, I think putting Serpent and Wenut both in spiral abyss would be a damn good start.

Generally good tips all around - while my account is in a position where these are more of a nice reminder, still a great primer for this Abyss. As for teams, First Half was some fun with Xiao-Xianyun, and Second Half saw the return of Keqing Aggravate, as I found that it does pretty well against bosses with tight damage windows (it was also the team that helped me beat Wenut the first time it showed up in Abyss and gave me trouble).

this abyss is quite easy for f2p, since the opponents dont do much damage and their attacks are very predictable. myself did 36 star it on second try. Thank for the hint at 13:37, didnt know there was a weak spot ❤

12th floor
1st half: Navia C0 + Furina C2R1 + Charlotte C4 + Zhoongli C0
2nd half: Nahida C0 + Kuki C6 + Yelan C0R1 + Xingqiu C6
Experience really helps against Ruin Serpend, Wenut and Aeonblight Drake. It wasn't "easy", but I didn't neet any retries at least. I mostly had to be mindful of positioning and be careful and deliberate when to use bursts. Thanks for the guide as always, Sevy!

As a ayaka and yoimiya main this abyss make me so happy bc i can finally use ayaka freeze after they keep nerf freeze from previous abyss and yoimiya on second half doing a great job with her single target dps

The most annoying things are those two robots that split up, THEY ALWAYS SPLIT UP, no matter where you are, no matter which one you’re attacking, THEY WILL ALWAYS SPLIT UP

Thanks sevy, finally got my first 36star after 3 years of playing.
I just started trying Floor 12 a couple patches ago, and I have to say, this Abyss feels pretty nice despite the annoying worms. I got 3* on chambers 1 and 3, and only 2* on 2 because I couldn't really bruteforce the Wenut with hyperbloom. I'll retry it with a different team later, and probably eventually get 3* there as well.
I know a lot of people said the previous Abyss was quite easy, but it was very annoying to deal with for me. Maybe because I didn't have Nahida yet. This rotation feels nicer, even though the worms disappearing underground is occasionally annoying.
It looked annoying on paper, but honestly one of the most fun and enjoyable times I’ve had. No Floor 12 resets, I finally can use freeze again, and Furina Yelan Jean core just absolutely destroys side 2. Also the all single target bosses letting my Yoimiya get her chance to shine.
Ayaka for the 1st Floor and Hu Tao Plunge with Furina + Yelan + Xianyun for 2nd Floor trivialize the run really well without retries.
Especially it's been awhile since the last time i use Ayaka team on Spiral Abyss, it's really smooth on the current abyss.
I find Nilou bloom+Hutao vape clear this abyss really fast. I was able to clear the abyss 12 with 1 star last time Wenut was in, now I can do 9 star with ease, the growth make me happy!
I used an Ayamiya team (Yoimiya/Zhongli/Bennett/Ayaka) for the second half of floor 12 and it actually matched up well. Yoimiya Vape worked, but it wasn't great at dealing with the short DPS windows because the DPS is all locked into Yoimiya's skill window. Ayaka gives better frontloaded damage for the short DPS windows, and Yoimiya is a bow user for the Wenut and Ruin Drake bosses. Bennett-buffed Ayaka and Yoimiya deal lots of raw damage, so it doesn't matter who is melting.
For floor 12, I used Neuvillette hyperbloom and Furina mono hydro (+Yelan XQ Kokomi).
Furina mono hydro is really effective against the worms and drake as it outputs high dmg in a short time. Kokomi as driver helps to stack fanfare quick and her burst NA shoots really far so a bit easier to auto attack without running around. Aeonblight doesnt even has a chance to fly away 😂
Was considering to pull Nahida C2 but C0 is already very viable so I have more motivation to save up for Neuvi cons. All the best to everyone in Abyss 🥰
This has been a pretty fun and satisfying abyss for me.
I’ve been able to easily get all 9 stars in floor 12 with:
Top half: Nahida (R1 1000 FD) / Nilou / Dendro Traveller (C6) / Kokomi.
Bottom half: Gaming (C4), Furina, Xianyun, Bennett (C6)

Let me say that I've watched some "CC drama" vids and you surely are the most heart warming CC of all of this, no one shall offend Sevy.
I didn't think that this was going to be easier that the previous one with the time waster worms, but this is the first time that I got over a minute to spare in each room. I used a Nilou bloom team on first half (Nilou/Nahida/Collei/Kokomi) which destroys everything, even the dendro shields in 12-1 where shredded easily with Nilou and Kokomi's hydro application, and a yoi overload team (Miko/Yoimiya/Fischl/Chevreuse) on second half that also melted everything. Yae Miko is especially good in second half because the turrets autotarget the worms so you can do a little more damage even when they start hiding underground, and with Fischl and Chevreuse you can shoot the cores of the worms easily, if Yae Miko didn't hit them already, so they can get into their vulnerable state.
For the first half I used - Neuvillete, Furina, Sayu and Xiangling
And for the second I used - Zhongli, Raiden, Tighnari and Nahida.
I'm running them with R1 5star weapons or R5 4star weapons and average yet decent artifacts.
I felt the stall bosses could be irritating, but they didn't have as much HP as in some previous patches or maybe after playing for nearly three years you get to have enough built characters for the varying abyss situations.
I cant wait until my characters are this strong. I like that you used 4 stars to clear this. You got me to floor 12 but I need to get better gear.
I used ayaka freeze with farina charlottes sucrose. Then yoimiya, xingqiu, Bennett, and yunjin. All my supports are level 70, and dps’s are 90. Took a few tries for all stars. But happy I got it

I'm so invested in the 4 star challenge that it has been my goal this year. Lol! Mind if I ask your build for Kaeya and Rosaria? I just finished building Heizou and Faruzan but my 4 star only run only gets me to 11 flr. My best for flr 12 was just 6 stars.

I repeated the whole abyss multiple times to get full energy in chamber 2 and 3 for 36 stars.
12-1 and 12-3 were [Noelle, Albedo, Gorou, Furina] / [Alhaitham, Nahida, Yelan, Kuki Shinobu]
12-2's first side was [Ayato, Xiangling, Furina, Bennett] with the second side being the same Alhaitham team. In this rerun, I intentionally did 12-1 really slowly (1 star) so that everyone had good HP and bursts recharged, since my Noelle team from the previous run already got 3 stars.
this time it was quite straightforward for me lol. I used Raiden Hyper team (Raiden, Sara, Sucrose, Barbara) first half & Hyperbloom (Nahida, Kuki, Yelan, Xingqiu) second half
Why sucrose and Barbara? Are they just fillers for Kazuha and Koko?

Ruin Serpent & Wenut highly favors quickswap teams since you don't have to waste time setting up your rotation.
The last time the Wenut was in the abyss was one of the only times in the past year or so I couldn’t 36* it. Thankfully this abyss was extremely easy especially in first half. I was initially so worried hearing about all the bosses in the abyss but the first half honestly feels no more difficult than floor 11. I still like to watch Sevy guides in case there’s anything I’m missing.
Hi Sevy! I’m a new subscriber. Idk if you know this, but some of the character builds given at the end of the video are difficult to see :(! It’s because of the two thumbnails that pop up on the left side of the screen for “suggested videos”. They cover a lot of the screen, thus block some of the character build info. In this case, I was trying to build Dendro traveler like yours, and found it taxing lol. I finally got the info needed, but just didn’t know if you were aware. Anyway thanks for the help!
somehow managed to get 7 stars on floor 12 this time
I thought this abyss might be hell but i actually got it done first try. Yae/Fischl aggravate is pretty good against the annoying underground bosses and Wenut not being in the final chamber made it feel a good deal less tanky.
Top half: Hyperbloom (Baizhu / Xingqiu / Yelan / EM Raiden)
Bottom half: Neuv (Jean / Furina / Neuvillette / Fischl)
Top had more than enough time to brute force each enemy individually rather than trying to group/AOE them.
Bottom Neuv is fantastic, he can quickly deploy big damage in small window on demand whenever the worms pop up.
