Xiangling. The one who is given by the Abyss, for the Abyss. Mihoyo really knew what they were doing with that!

i dont think they knew what they were making... she is way stronger than diluc, and she is even stronger than hu tao non purely single target scenario...
people are saying that there is powercreep in this game... but so far no character ever released has powercrept xiangling (that is if i ignore the speedrunning comunity)
xiangling is probably one of the most broken unintended meta, that mihoyo also free ride when they kinda like, "oh she is broken lets create a story about guoba god"

honestly the best things about xiangling is that she unlock all kind of comp for your favorite characters simply because how versatile she is. We got melt Rosaria, melt Ganyu, National, Overload Lisa, Sukokomon (my fav),..... the potential is literally limitless
And she's free

Nice guide! Xiangling is hopelessly busted, especially with the Catch and an Emblem set. Pressing Q and watch everything around her immediately roast is so satisfying.
Fun fact: Her charge attack was also broken on beta test, being able to hit everything mid charge hence why mihoyo nerf that

It’s pretty interesting to see how the perception of Xiangling has changed from the release of the game to now. If all 5 stars are at c0, C4 Xiangling might be the 2nd best dps in the game or at least has a very strong argument for it
I praised Xiangling from the very beginning of the game
Xiangling had high praise during release, so was fischl actually then she dropped off and then recognition again when the og national team got discovered by cn players
I mean many 4*s are a very good or should I say a much better alternative than most 5* can do in the abyss. like chongyun, xinqui, beidou, etc. they just need to be built and have a synergy on the lineup for them to shine
On release of the game almost everyone thought that the “right way” to play the game was just upgrade a Main DPs like Diluc, Klee or Xiao and win the game. Couldn’t be more wrong, a lot of people still build only a main DPs and have no subdps or supports fully build. Its kind a sad sometimes because a huge part of the community still have the same wrong idea for the first patch and this misunderstanding stick hard on their minds even if they hear 100x times lmao 😂

I see people complaining about the banner, but they forget that there are new players that don't have them C12 or even C0

I started playing at the end of Itto's banner and I can confirm that it took me around 5 weeks for a C0 Xiangling

Absolutely love xiangling and her kit, she's been my main/sub dps since the start and i love that she had a huge buff recently! Also loved the stove god storyline during the event
I recently got her to 90 and crowned her ult for my Raiden national team. The results are 🤘.

I've been struggling with Abyss because of the electro rift hounds, using a taser comp. Came across this vid and figured to give national team a try even though it has no electro. Suddenly finished it in one go, thanks so much! Xiangling is really amazing, even when she's not fully build.

I believe Sevy follows the current banner for which characters to create guides for. I remember seeing Ning, Chongyun and Yanfei back to back guides. They were the 4* on Childe’s most recent banner.

I've mained xiangling ever since I started playing some 5 months ago and only just yesterday after while getting Itto I was able to get her to C4. I run the national team with Kazuha and Emblem + Catch and she's just wonderful to play. Honestly my favorite character. Amazing guide really love how f2p and user friendly it is ❤

Xiangling was my main char simply because i like her. Being her an excellent off-field dps was a jackpot. I was using her though as physical DPS during early game.

I love your build guides. They are very easy to understand and really helpful.
For her weapon, I use Skyward Spine (My first 5 star weapon) it has a good base attack and Energy Recharge. So far it's at level 80.
Both of my xiangling and baal have the emblem of severed fate set on them. I equip xiangling with the catch, while baal with the prototype starglitter. U can tell how much I love our 5 star chef
Also, thank you for this. I have a c6 xiangling but i havent used her as much because i normally use perma freeze ayaka and kazuha. Looking forward in building Xiangling. I got my Yanfei buikd from you as well :)
Sucrose or C6 Diona can add EM. Bennett adds atk. Having all 3 can make for some interesting dmg potential with Xiangling.

its crazy. xiangling benefits from absolutely every spear in the game. (even the physical dmg ones, at least before. people used to run xiangling with the crescent pike in the early days)

Sure, it’s not the best, but I have found that my full Elemental mastery Build with Xiangling works really well with Raiden and Jean. Raiden is there to add electro with her skill no matter who Guoba hits and Jean is there to use her hold skill to keep enemies from flying away from the overloaded reaction. So it goes, raiden skill, drop guoba, suck up guoba and enemies together, hold them until guoba runs out, then shoot them into the sky for that anemo skill damage and fall damage afterwards. That’s usually enough to take care of a lot of enemies. The only difference with pyronado and guoba comes with the fact that pyronado works best with raidens burst afterward. They deal about the same damage, but the burst comba does it more often because Raidens burst is constantly applying electro. With this, I do a consistent 11k every guoba attack in pyro damage alone. Combined with raidens electro damage from her skill, I do about 14k every guoba attack. That enough for me

There is one thing about building her that I saw on the KeqingMains guide, but nowhere else, so I wonder if it's true. The Kitain Cross Spear reduces her ER requirement and at R5 it reduces it so much you don't need it anymore. Then you can just focus on farming Crimson Witch and getting crit sub-stats.

She was one of the characters that carried me when I was still in low AR. I used to pair her with Lisa, Kaeya, Xingqiu and even with Dendro Traveler (for burning or burgeon reaction, of course trying to stack a lot of EM on her lol). Back then I didn't have good artifacts to sustain her ER so I used Gouba regularly, and contradict to how many players complain, Gouba was not that bad. Even at high AR now I still have a habit of dropping Gouba first before using her Burst XD
I crowned her Q. And with 200 ER and EOS set she is super effective. My ratio is decent at 50:150 and i use catch which is brilliant. Her numbers are not super high but they are consistent.

Well artifact stats matter way more than set bonuses late game so it makes sense
@@bletwort2920 Early to mid game you it isn't worth the resin to farm artifacts so you mostly work with what you have. Just leveling a three star feather to 12 will pretty much double the attack on an AR20 character. In those cases the set bonus can be worth prioritizing. Weapon level and talents are the priority till AR45.
Ideally you will have a stock pile of talent books, mora and exp books ready by AR45 so you can then switch the focus to artifacts.
Yes stats still matter early to mid game but most of your scaling at that point is coming from your weapon and talents.
@@bletwort2920 I'm not saying throw a def sands on your Hu Tao or something. You get more than enough artifacts from bosses and chests to carry you through to AR45. The only set you could make an arguement for farming early is a 4* set of VV for an anemo character.
I don't think you understand how fast it is to get to AR45. It isn't like the launch of the game. There are so many more quests, chests, and way to get AR exp now that you can speedrun it in less than a week and casually reach it in under a month.
You also aren't going to need artifacts for 2 full teams till then anyway. Just a decent set for your dps, half decent for sub-dps. A lot of characters can get by just fine with minimal artifacts till then.
Also it needs to be said that outside of abyss this is a very easy game designed for a casual mobile audience.
@@bletwort2920 If you really want to speedrun it, with the interactive map you can hit AR35 in about 20-25 hours of gameplay. AR45 is going to take longer but a month isn't that long. Things aren't like they were at launch where you had to rely on dailies and resin to grind up early game AR. There are close to twice the non-timegated ways to get AR exp.
Regardless. You don't need artifact sets from domains before you are able to grind 5*s. You can get Berserkers, Exile and Instructors from every boss in the game, chests, and rarely from elite overworld enemies. 2pc Berserkers/ 2pc either of the other two works well enough for dps and subdps characters. 2pc Exile/ 2pc Instructors or 4pc of either is fine for supports. ER is more of a concern than crit early game since hitting a reasonable crit ratio is very hard with 4* artifacts. At least for any burst dependent character (which is more than half the roster).
If you really want to farm artifacts early. The earliest that makes any sense is AR40 since you at least have a chance at 5*s then. Even at AR40 though it is kind of a waste of resin.
Even at AR45 you should probably live in the emblem/shiminawa domain for a month or two as it is by far the most resin efficient domain (both sets are good if not BiS for most of the roster).
Agreed. I hit AR45 in less than a month. And i never cared about artifacts until then either. All my teams had random level 1-8 artifacts but I did fine. Talents and weapons were the focus mostly then. Agreed fights would take longer but it was very doable

Thanks to Deathmatch I can use a crit dmg circlet. She and Ajax with Bennett and Sugar are basically my third team I prepared for Spyral Abyss if Eula/Raiden or Yoimya/XQ aren't doing it
Childe, Bennett, Xiangling and Raiden never lets me down :)

would past 300 EM be diminishing return? or is there a max limited of EM before it's diminishing returns? my xl currently has 358 EM, 54/163.5 crit, & 186.7 ER with dragons bane & ER sands. would it be better to put her on the catch vs. dragons bane?
I really only use her for raiden national. Thats about it. Didnt want to invest too much into her. Got her ult to 11 talents since shes c6 and guoba to talent 6. Ult is the only thing one should be investing in.
