I used this on my Mazda 3 last weekend, Gun Metal Grey and yes, it does have that candy shine! In a couple of weeks time, I'm going to give it a maintenance with Q2 Ceramic wax and get more shine!
Gyeon Pure EVO was my first ceramic coating, applied to a deep burgundy Jaguar XE. I chose this coating for the "candy gloss" Gyeon advertise, and it certainly lives up to that claim. The only drawback is that it doesn't produce an ultra-slick feel to the paint, but the gloss makes up for that. Great video as always.
Yeah that's the exact reason I chose this coating for the car and explained to the owner you can easily add some slickness by using wet coat every few washes as that stuff is incredibly slick
Pure EVO is “the glossiest” of the Gyeon non-pro coatings. Another tester got a full 2 gloss units from Pure, the second most out of 31 products tested. Car looking brilliant. Fabulous color too. Excellent job!
Agreed, I absolutely love pure evo. When it came out I thought it really differentiated itself from the rest of the market. I have it with cancoat topping it. I got compliments the first day I took it out and get them from all ages. Amazing on colors. I still prefer a more neutral gloss coating on monochrome but pure is epic imo. I’m going on my third year of the coating and I reapply can coat once a year with cure when I feel like the extra cherry on top. I want to try the quick Detailer as soon as possible.
Awesome videos mate, watched a couple and they have all been great. I think I’m going to try ceramic coating for the first time with this coating, I think it’ll look great on my blue ! Thanks for the videos and knowledge.
Coated my car with Pure EVO 2 weeks ago 😁 first ever coating and it was pretty fun to do. Gyeon says this bonds within 10-15 seconds so you can choose to "instant" wipeoff or go larger sections if you want to. Since it was my first time, I did a panel and then waiting maybe a minute then leveled it. I did a Subaru BRZ and had about half a bottle left so if you are going to use this, do not be afraid to load up that applicator pad.
@@jonathanparle8429 nope, no real troubles. I did full panels at a time (including roof/bonnet). I used a short nap towel (Gyeon Bald Wipe) as the first wipe off, then followed with a plush towel (Gyeon Soft Wipe) to level the rest. Even after I was sure I got everything, I went back over everything with the Soft Wipe to make sure I got everything. As long as your towel is clean, that shouldn't be an issue. I would recommend starting with the bonnet first so you can get a feel for it, as it will most likely be a little easier than the roof, and then do the roof next. Trust me, the coating is the easiest step of the whole process and you will wonder why you were so worried in the first place after you complete it.
Yeah I'd say this is the easiest coating as the wipe off even if left for 20 mins is still easy. As long as you're careful and thorough with the removal you shouldn't have any issues with high spots. Just to be safe take the car into the sun after you think you have it all and walk around looking for high spots
Nice work. Looks amazing! The glossiest coating I have seen was 2 coats of Nova EVO from NV Car Care. They also have a pro version but you must be certified. Not sure if you can get it down under. The Gyeon Pure is a one coat but I bet the gloss would be even better with a 2nd coat.
Thanks mate I've used NV Evo a little and liked it, but yeah not certified for the Pro. NV is actually an Australian brand so we get it at a fair price here and I use a lot of their products
Funny - I also had cquartz uk on my Z… ordered the pure evo!! Wondering what the best topper to ise? So far have been trying the gyeon ceramic detailer ontop of my old cquartz that will be removed… enjoyable to work with and adds some slickness
Haha great minds think alike here for sure. Yeah the gyeon ceramic is a good choice for sure but even easier would be gyeon wet coat every couple of washes
@@EvolvedDetails Update - Finally cooled down - so about to apply tomorrow.. more polishing to do... then it's going on... outside install... Looks like Gyeon pushes "Can coat" over it, but that's $60 vs. $23 for wet coat ( Which seems like the best option post for speed/less touching vehicle...) Hopefully this will do better than CQuartz/Reload.... One thing about CQuartz at end of life - On top panels it starts to look sort of blotchy...and the color rendition changes - so my midnight blue car started looking like it had a sheen/haze on just the top panels... I'm guessing this happens as the car sits outside and the coating is 2.5 years of age. Also - the main mistake I made was that I forgot to buy a Prep product between polishing and coating...so this round I have a 500 ML of Prep - should do the trick!! Prep also helps removing polish from PPF I discovered today..so if you have OLD PPF like I do, and it always does weird things with streaks when removing... the PREP from Gyeon is a good way to go!
Hey mate, just wondering how much you had left over after doing the car? Hoping to get 2 cars out of 30ml but not sure. I feel like they encourage you to use way more than required hey.
I had leftover after coating a Tesla m9del Y so I don't see why not but plan on one car and then can at least do just the paint on the 2nd. maybe not glass and trim. I used the leftover 25 % to do 2nd layer on glass, trim, wheels, lights n bumpers. im sure you can do 2 small cars or one full size suv if you just don't apply thick
Does the coating has the wet candy gloss finish like what they claimed? And how does it look compared to carpro cquartz uk3.0, lite, and gyeon cancoat?
@@EvolvedDetails Thank you very much for the answer. Can you please tell me if the first coat is Pure or Mons and the top coat is Can Coat Evo, will it work well? I have about 100ml of Can Coat left since applying to my other car. And I would like to use it as a top layer too)
I didn't like the idea of having to do such small sections with mohs the application of pure sounded far easier to me. Durability is 3 years for both unless you do a second layer or add skin in top of mohs And slickness isn't something that concerns me as the car will have wet coat or ceramic detailer added for protection which also provides the slickness. Plus pure is what they suggest for a candy type finish on metallic and bright colours where as mohs is for flat colours like whites ect
@@EvolvedDetailsmohs evo is for all colours . I’ve tried them both & mohs evo is street ahead in terms of finish & ease of use . & just because gyeon says pure lasts 3 years doesn’t mean it does . I’ve seen it fail in few mega ceramic coating testing on UA-cam very easily . Do your research & watch some real world testing . It doesn’t come close to mohs evo .
I went with advice from Esoteric who are the distributor for Gyeon in the U.S. It's funny you've asked me to watch some real world testing as that's literally what I do on this channel, lots of my videos are testing and comparing products and how they last in my local conditions and that is what I'll be doing with pure evo soon against a bunch of other coatings. After doing research it seemed pure was perfect coating for this paint and mohs wasn't in the top picks at all. I haven't found an easier to use coating than pure as the large surface area you can do before having to level down is to me a massive game changer and means I can get a car done far quicker. If I find it fails early I'll look to try something else but there's only one way to find out and that's by testing and comparing

How is it doing so far? I also have a Mazda with Machine Gray Metallic.

@@07wrxtr1 yeah it's also great I've tested it on the channel and had great results
You can add some Gyeon cure for your drying towel, lets say 2 mists / panel. It will give that slick feel.

Hey mate sorry for the late reply I think if you used a traditional style coating applicator block you'd get 2 cars

you think the coating added a huge increase to the gloss or the correction mainly?
Correction will make more of a difference imo but coating definitely adds more gloss and kind of seal that gloss in
Does the coating has the wet candy gloss finish like what they claimed? And how does it look compared to carpro cquartz uk3.0, lite, and gyeon cancoat?
I think it does but I could be just how good this paint looked.
I do plan in doing my own car with it soon though
Man that colour is nice 💛
Yeah it's crazy in the sun too
@EvolvedDetails, what composition is best for Porsche M7W Meteor Gray Metallic, Mohs or Pure?
If it's a pretty heavy metallic then I'd say Pure as it seems to really pop.
But in all honesty either would work

How would you rate the gloss of Pure against CQUARTZ SiC?
I haven't used SIC so can't really say sorry
Good stuff man car looks great
Thanks mate
This or the cquartz 3.0?
Been using 3.0 for a few years but am now using this instead.
Definitely recommend
Have u tried Mckees 37 graphene ceramic? Cheers
No I haven't, any good?
@@EvolvedDetails haven't used yet mate. Just looking for feedback from Aussie users.
What kind of garage tiles do you have?
They're from racedeck
Can this coating be applied to glass too????
It could but they do make a separate glass coating they'd designed specifically for it
Quick View or View will bond better and last longer
Gyeon make some quality products
They do for sure, I've been using more and more of their stuff
