I only have praise for the 1 year and 2.5 year graphing ceramic spray coating. Everything about the product is perfection; from the user experience to shine and protection. I use it on everything; the paint, glass, plastic trim, mirrors, and wheels. Heck I think I even put it on the tailpipe. When you do it right and layer it, nothing will stick to the finish. I thank Adams for bringing this product to the marketplace. Hopefully this summer I get back into detailing as a hobby.

I’m a pro detailer and I can tell you , 98% of the customers that want a ceramic coating detail , it takes some form of paint correction before the coating , I’ve seen new cars with scratches all over them. It will not be done in an hour by the time you wash /decon / clay /machine polish and coat it will take at minimum 4 to 5 hours n that is if the car is in pretty good condition. That’s why you get what you pay for. And a dark color like that was probably polished before this video otherwise your putting the ceramic coating over swirl marks n that will show up n and won’t be a proper job

I have just started researching all this and I’m just a novice at detailing a car and I thought the same thing. No way you Clay bar a car and not get to the swirls and scratches first! Thanks for the confirmation of what I thought

Yep this dudes timing is wayyyyy off as the other person mentioned a car especially the size of that jeep to pre-wash, decontamination, even a one step fine Polishing with a DA machine lay panel, then wipe and proper ceramic coating (what he used was a quick ceramic coating spray) and buffering will take a minimum of 4 to 6hrs

Paying attention to the way the light is hitting the jeep it was 100% polished at some point prior to this video because the light reflections are to crisp for a factory paint job. Factory is a lot more orange peal and more wavy

I've been really happy with the Gold/2nd version of this. Use it on both our daily drivers now. Get almost 2 years out of it here in IL and through winters. I do use various drying aids throughout the year and usually do a sacrificial Ceramic liquid wax, which looks like that's no longer available before winter starts. Will probably switch to the Graphene liquid wax as a winter topper when that runs out. This ceramic spray works really well on both dailies that have plastic cladding. Way easier than the 'full' ceramics and high spots are a breeze. I usually use one short nap MF towel for initial wipe then follow with a 2nd of the same towel for anything that missed. 1st towel usually goes into the junk towel bin after doing this but 2nd towel washes out fine. However, neither become fully useless like full ceramic towels do.

Thank you for responding. What I’m trying to say is that if you take an old car and use your process to make it look gorgeous like that car then I would be extremely impressed. I have done that to several vehicles, including plumbing trucks that I purchased. I bought a Toyota forerunner 2003 and spent two days detailing it and painting, what was necessary. When I finished, I sent the picture back to the person that I bought it from. They were amazed he said if he could’ve gotten his detailer to look that good he never would’ve sold it. This is what I’m talking about. Thank you.

It does leave some sio2 (ceramic) on the finish when you use the shampoo. It’s so little it’s barely measurable. It’s honestly gone in one wash. The detail spray will leave a little more. That will stay on the paint for about a month

Wow, this video short-circuits my brain after seeing so many other videos for years from people who claim nothing but perfection. To be honest this is the type of 80/20 I'm fan of. Not much effort and good enough results. However, even to me, that looks like half-assing on prep and application. Not only is he not being thorough with the claying and application throughout the whole panel(s), but also his constant rubbing with the bare hands screams micro-scratches to me. I guess things have changed since I stepped away from being a garage fanatic for the last couple years.

I’ve had good luck with the Advanced Graphene product in the bottle for two vehicles (2 yrs on one, 1 on other), but the longevity of the spray product on another vehicle was lacking…only 5-6 months. I understand the spray product is not designed to last as long.
Due to the time it takes to prep a vehicle, the bottled product may be a better choice.

Hold on spring into the wheel well and having the graphene fall onto the tire is not good and then also spraying the graphene tire spray onto the actual tread is not good for traction. This is especially true for high performance vehicles.

Says to keep water off of it and "keep it out of the elements for 24 hours after application to allow it to cure". By keeping it out of the elements, I take that to mean, out of nature, i.e. in the garage. If I'm wrong, some clarification in the instructions would be nice.

  • @matthewb9824
    @matthewb9824 6 днів тому +1

I’m an amateur detailer and even I can tell this is the wrong way to go about it. You need to do a paint correction before applying any protective coating, whether it’s ceramic, graphene or even a an old fashioned wax. That means at least a light-medium polish to get swirls and scratches out of the paint clear coat and to address any marring from the clay bar. Otherwise, if you go straight to paint protection, you’ll just be putting a protective layer over the scratches and swirl marks and you’ll never not see them then! Also, whenever using chemicals, be it polish or paint protection products, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS use gloves. These are chemicals and not meant to be absorbed by our skin. Don’t be like this guy, protect yourself.

I love this stuff, but it is quite tacky and streaky if you wait more than a minute before wipeoff . My best results come by applying it and removing it 1 panel at a time and quickly leveling it. it tends to soak in the towel so keep flipping towel and using new ones but I love the easy spray form though it's not as concentrated it lasts a while in the bottle and can use it a few months later unlike real coating you have to use up within a few weeks before it cures. .I have Adam's Advanced spray on s few cars and it's been 1 year still beading and protecting so I'll continue using it. Hyeon Cancoat Evo is another great option. I think our mfgs need to make a 1 to 2 yr spray ceramic or graphene that's easier than glass bottle coatings.

How is he not using proper Protection on hands or mask. I’ve used that product. It’s a good product however it’s stings your nostrils from the smell and I wouldn’t be using it without gloves unless he knows something I don’t.

You said 10 cars per 1 clay bar? I think that's pushing it.

You only need one clay bar for the entire vehicle?

A clay bar lasts about 6 cars. A clay towel, more than 10 times that. The clay towel can simply be rinsed clean.

Well under a hour? Lol... No guess you could but it's going to look screwed up. No way 1 hour for a decent job.

Can I use this as a booster for a ceramic coating?

May I suggest not wearing jeans when detailing a car, those rivets, zipper, button , belt buckle etc can scratch your paint.

I am absolutely disgusted with this spray coating. Getting high spots off doesn't work for me with this product, it only gets about 80% of the high spots off on reapplication. I like your other products but, your ceramic is not for me. Insane gloss for sure under LED lights but, then I get it out into the sun and the spots are everywhere. I just want one and done and going back to some kind of wax.

Very good explanation. However, I’m not impressed with. Taking a nice looking car and making it shiny is easy . Take a old car that needs some work and make that look awesome. Then I’ll see how good your products are.

It’s not really about making it shiny and good looking, it’s about protecting the paint from UV and road debris. Also ease of cleaning. If you did an older beat up car, it’ll just protect what’s there, it’s not going to make it look better.

This dude is in cuckoo 😂land 😂 1st off he's using Adam’s quick detailing spray not genuine proper ceramic 5yr coating and as a pro detailer even brand new cars will need a snow foam pre-wash then shampoo hand wash with a noodle wash mit, decontamination spray, clay baring panel wiping, even new paint work will need a ultra fine DA polishing then panel wiping then proper 5yr ceramic coating application then buffering a car like that jeep a minimum 4 to 6hrs

You can do a pretty damn good job in a couple hours or less and for around $200. It’s particularly easy if you have a garage and can take a break between washing and clay bar/detox then do the polishing/waxing and another break then apply the ceramic coating. If you need to stain/repair your plastic trim it takes a little longer if you have to tape off for the plastic trim but still doesn’t justify spending $1,200+ for a detailer
Who the hell decided $1,200+ is the price to ceramic coat a car?!?!
If I were a young teenager again I’d learn how to ceramic coat cars and charge half the price of the “professional detailers”. You could rake in at least an easy $300+ a day if you only do one. Grab a friend and do multiple a day…
