Good video. Well presented. Ridden for decades, however, even though I've had a few pair of moto-X boots to logically protect my lower limbs, I can't stand to wear them. Can't feel the brake or shifter lever, plus NO flex. My own personal problem. My "go to" boot is a basic Red Wing boot. Mid-calf. Took a while to break in, but have been my riding boots for at least two decades or more. Any suggestions on boots? Again, good video.
I have two pairs of motorcycle boots depending on the riding that I'll do. I've got a pair of Alpinestars SMX-6 v2's that I use even though they are street oriented they work great for casual "off-road" riding on Appalachian fire roads and access roads. They're vented, great feedback, and still have some flex in the ankle if you know that the riding isn't going to be technical. If I know I'm going to get into some gnarlier trails, bigger rocks, and dodging trees, I have a set of cheap motocross boots from Fly Racing that have held up decent. Not nearly as comfortable but keeps my feet and ankles safe.
@@Dan_And_Daves_Garage excellent. I'll continue to do research on alternatives & you've given me possibilities. Thanks. See? Even a rider in his 60's is open to change. LOL.
