Ian, another great review video. I am a Klim guy and have a couple of suits and I have never had a water leak in any of them. I am a real fan of Goretex. I am also a fan of Smartwool products. Not only do they not stink after a couple of days, they come in different weights, so you can adjust as the temperature changes. I am a So Cal guy like you and live in the desert, so I get to ride when it is cold and when it is hot (I have aslo ridden to Alaska twice with rain, snow and hail and magnificient weather). One of the things I do in the winter is to ride with bar mitts. I have them for both my dirt and street bikes. Allows me to use a lightweight glove with more feel and they are easy on and easy off.
For Base Layers and Mid Layers I go with quality layers made for Outdoors or Hiking use. Usually much less cost than motorcycle specific gear. Smartwool makes high quality base layers.
I’m not sure you’re aware of it but fox makes dual sport / adventure gear. They have two lines. the cheaper line is called defend and the more expensive line is called recon. It’s really nice gear that has a high end feel to it. Nobody has more experience making riding gear than fox.
Ive had my Klim Overland gear for about 10 years. Holds up extremely well. No rips tears or holes. Keeps me warm and dry all winter here in CT. One of the best investments ive ever made. Was expensive to buy when I was in my early 20s but was well worth it!
Pearlys Possum Socks are amazing! Shouldn't admit this but 3 weeks on the road riding everyday and rinsed them out once! Didn't smell at all! Possums got some clean ass fur! 😂❤
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! Top rated UA-cam Channel for any motorcycles and gear!! The information Ian gives all who watch has been so helpful to all of us! Big thank you Ian 👏👏👏👏
Man you gotta try the Super Shirt from Adventure Spec. It'll completely change your strategy with armored shirts. Impact and abrasion protection in an undershirt.
@@Shadow9091And there's pando Moto with AAA shirts and pants. Again like the Bowtex, I'm not a huge fan though as they are tight to skin and despite the stretchy mesh type fabric, things held tight to the skin still don't allow much breathability in hot weather.
I have yet to have much luck with Klim gloves. Each pair I have tried the stitching fails at the seams anywhere from 500 to 1000 miles of typical to heavy use. I agree with the Mosko Moto Rak jacket and pants. Most versatile pieces of kit I own for adventure travel off-road and much more. I have used them for backcountry skiing and mountaineering and they have held up much better than some of my dedicated Arcteryx and Mountain Hardware gear.
I finally upgraded to *good* riding gear and have a layering system that I like a lot. The Klim Marrakesh jacket feels like a heavy non-motorcycle jacket. It's not nearly as restrictive as other motorcycle jackets I've worn. It's very comfortable and the build quality is excellent. It doesn't breathe as well as my cheap mesh jacket but it's still comfortable in hot weather and is also comfortable on cool evenings. It's worth the $420. When I need to block the wind, I wear the super thin and lightweight Klim Zephyr jacket underneath. It works perfectly with the Marrakesh jacket and also has excellent materials and build quality, as it should for $100. You could use a $30 shell but I thought it was worth 3X the price to have very high quality and have it fit perfectly with the Marrakesh. Klim sells a $100 Inferno pile jacket that I'll probably buy to complete the layering but for now, my thicker Mountain Hardware pile jacket is my insulating layer. I also built a 50 watt ultralight heated vest from two car seat heaters (super cheap) and it's great for adding heat without adding bulk.
Good video, but what about some of the less expensive stuff. We all can't afford Klim and Mosko. How about a second video on products like o'neill, fly, fox for the guy that put a lot of money into his motorcycle and has little left for protection
Don't forget Tourmaster (or other). I'd put their $200 transitions 3 all seasons jacket up against any Klim for 1/4 the price. Same Denier material, armor, YKk zippers, armor and multi layered. Klim and Mosko, and other high end stuff is inflated in price to create a quality looking product. I also buy the previous years product 400 dollars less. That just goes to show how much markup they have on these items
I ride in all weather, but when I am riding in cold wet conditions all day long I would rather be in high quality gear than on a high quality bike. Being comfortable in really bad weather is worth the extra money.
@@RayzGarageprobably should find another reviewer’s video. Ian is known for his high quality reviews without shying away from prices. Dork in the road is also an awesome reviewer who will give you an honest review for the ordinary man on entry to mid priced gear. Let’s appreciate all the reviewers for what they excel at instead of pressuring them into a jack of all trades.
Thanks for throwing in the more affordable MSR stuff! While I'm sure they're great, most of us simply can't afford a Mosko Moto or Klim anything, and have to make do with Amazon knock-offs.
Great content. Instead of these weird-looking Klim gears, I am enjoying my BMW GS Pro and Enduro suits. I wore them for around 30k miles in any weather and they never failed me.
I’m exited to hear your thoughts on the airbag systems. Alpinestars just released their off-road air tech system to the public last month. Will be getting one soon!
I’m kind of a gear junkie myself, and while I haven’t used everything on your list, I definitely agree with pretty much everything you said. Thanks for blowing all of your cash and testing this stuff out for us.
This was really helpful, especially with the accompanying PDF and product links. I’ve used the KLIM products for years (I swear by the Agressor numbered layer system, especially for both cold and extremely hot track riding. The minus-numbered base layers are a must, not only for comfort but also for aiding in removing leathers.) I have some Mosko Moto luggage and related gear, and will now use your links to add clothing for a planned long trip through Alaska and Canada this summer. Much appreciated!
My observations. The Klim Raptor is better than the Mosko Basilisk. The Rak is cool but getting it on and off is a pain. The Adventure Spec Baltic Hybrid is for me the gold level mid layer. Low insulation on the arms to prevent snugness with elbow armor but enough insulation in the body. I love my Ectotherm but it’s too warm sometimes, even when off. The Adventure Spec Linesman pants are the most comfortable pants you can get for riding. The entire thing is stretch. It’s like a Marrakesh jacket for your legs. The Mosko Graph is the best all rounder base layer for me. I would love a long sleeve version. Klim Tactical Pro pant is the best bottoms base layer. Comfortable, breathable and includes armor and ass padding. Klim Tactical Pro Jersey is better than the workhorse. Flows air a little better but doesn’t look as good. And I’m done but could go on for a while.
Very helpful summary, but another thing to keep in mind is the difference in fit between between these products and the affect of your body type, foot shape, etc. affects these products.
Great review, VERY appropriate for me just back from a 24 day ride (all secondary Pavement) with Pants that leaked!! Gotta get new gear so THANKS for taking the time to put this together
I love your channel and the content you create Mr Ian. So I said that now I’m going to tell you about the amazing meal I made tonight. Wild rice mix cook slow in frying pan covered with lobster stock from “better than bouillon” and .25 pound of USA scallop shrimp and calamari from wegman grocer. Some onion and chopped spinach and a little butter, lemon squeeze, and black pepper. Until you next time, thanks for the content.
Hey Ian, these comprehensive breakdowns are always interesting. As somebody who uses and loves the revit proteus, I'd be really interested to see if you can get your hands on the Revit Nucleus. It seems like it's a new product and there's not a whole lot of information about it. It looks like it's basically a revit proteus except it has abrasion resistance so it's CE AA rated. This really caught my interest as that's the same rating as the street jacket I often wear over my proteus on the way to the trails. There's also not a lot of reviews online for it either. Also for what it's worth, you mentioned the axial balaclava. I've actually been pretty impressed by the axial wind blocking leggings. For the price they're pretty effective. I've been wearing them under Mosko Moto surveyors even in 40 degree weather and they actually do a solid job for the price.
Agreed on the Klim Socks -- they are comfortable but there is zero odor protection. Oddly I found the best bet for hot feet are the extremely cheap Noru riding socks. I bought half a dozen pairs as they aren't super durable, but they are great!
Curious on the MSR heated gloves recommendation. I am not opposed to battery only gloves but it appears the max heat time is 3 hours on low...and they do not offer spare batteries. Does this match your experience?
I went with the 2nd gen of the MSR Xplorer. I’m an athletic 6’1 200lbs and I originally got the large and it fit me well on my stomach, chest and sides but was very tight across my upper back. I exchanged it for an XL and now I’m swimming in it. But it’s an adventure jacket and meant to be baggy so I’ll just have to deal with the extra material. I’d rather have the room to fit multiple layers than just one hoodie or thermal
Congratulations on your channel, and especially on this excellent video! I completely agree with your thoughts on the 4 items I wear that are on your list. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more of your content. Best regards from Spain.
Thanks for this great review! Based partly on your jacket recommendation and wanting the versatility that comes with layering, I went with Klim stuff - Marrakesh with Zephyr and Forecast and base layers and a heated liner I already have, to make it a 4-season setup. This works well and is all-day comfortable to wear, plus these layers compress down to tiny bundles and together take up 1/2 of my 2020 Goldwing top case.
very very good and very good advice. My Baja s4 is my most used jacket. I have the enduro for rain, but its too bulky to fit in the rear pouch, so I just use a extra large MSR cheapo rain jacket. I LOVE the klim Zephyr too! small and blocks a lot of wind from the inside. I also have the mosko moto basilisk and use it for snowbiking/timersled and winter adventures, my issue with the basilisk is it smashes my nuts against the seat :(...I guess I'm just gifted ;) LOVE the workhorse and the kiger and between the s4 and basilisk with enduro or barfly rain pants, I'm good for just about anything. I sold the woodsman as it was too hot :( I run the klim tactical pants for the knee braces. for normal weather I love the dakar pro gloves. For colder/wetter, the MSR winter gloves have a cuff that my jackets can go into so I don't get cold into my arms. On the COBDR when it was high 30s F, I ran the workhorse and the basilisk and when it warmed up, I used bolle straps to store the basilisk for BDR and then when I hit the pavement home, I used the basilisk for slide protection. Techair off road next to the skin...if hot I just run the techair and the basilisk. OMG, the strata helped me get rid of 3 "jackets", gold star! For those days when I shouldn't be riding. the Ectotherm with the SAE adapter is heaven when its below 30 degrees F. The inferno, the wonkie collar drives me nuts, but is more around the house/town in the winter for me. If/when mosko moto has the woodsman with IR and inside the boot pants, I think I might try them again. It'd be so nice to be able to tuck the pants into the boots and then for water crossings, put them over the boots. so super thin material from boot down, that way water doesn't get in my boots over the tops of the boot! Between the enduro and the barfly, I choose barfly...I have both and just keep them in different motorcycles so I always have rainpants! On the 2stroke side, there is no better than the mojave pants and shirt IMO...I LOVE the dakar gloves. I have tried every klim glove. Love LOVE the leatt air armor shirt pro. nice and cool and provides enough armor for those low speed hard enduro crashes :) My tech7 drystar, always wet with sweat or water going over the tops, so I much prefer the SG22. The SG22 breath much better. I carry the dryguy portable dryer and dry just outside my tent with a battery bank. Don't forget the 1 gallon water bag from giant loop. I added a hand pump from amazon and now I can squirt water into my jacket and pant vents (and neck gator...almost a mist)! OMG its the best when its HOT...over 80F. I use it wash my hands too and if my arsenal 15 pack 3 liter runs low...I have comfort knowing I have water in the GL water bag! I'm a wierdo...I have a mix of klim, mosko moto and MSR. I much prefer tusk luggage cuz I can choose what to water proof and what not to water proof to dry out. More details on my blog: foxymcrider.com/
Nice, list. Would have been even better with some graphics with the names of each item as they are being presented. =) But love getting list from people that actually have the chance to try many different things to be able to really compare them.
@@BigRockMoto Nice vid. My bias is mesh jackets. I have a Klim induction. I feel that they really are the do it all, protection jacket. Cold out…layer up under of over. Rainy…layer over. But when it’s not super cold, or rainy, why wear all that protection when it’s not needed. Some will say, because you then have to pack those items. True, but I can pack a warm base layer and rain gear into a pouch that weights very less than 5 pounds. I would also advocate for being open to using non Moto products that just plain work really well. Socks: I have used many over the years and have found that Darn Tough makes the best. They are big in the hiking and winter sports crowd. Just awesome socks. Base Layers under that mesh jacket: A puffy coat that packs up into something the size a small book. I have a Patagonia nano puff that weights almost nothing, and is super warm as a base layer while riding and/or a jacket to wear when you get into town and want to lose the motorcycle jacket. Rain gear over that mesh jacket: Frogg Togs. Cheap, packs down, works.
Regarding the Klim Windshirt: I considered that for under my Baja S4 but went with Klim's Resilience jacket instead. It has two hand pockets and feels like a much better garment for just a little more money. It packs down to nothing. Nice video Ian.
I was super close to buying the Baja S4 because of how much you recommend it, ended up getting the new Leatt Flowtour suit. I know it's super new, but I'd love it if you were able to try it out and give your thoughts on it. I'm blown away with how nice the gear is and especially the quality/quantity of the armor included and windproof/waterproof additions at the price.
Thank you Ian for a very comprehensive gear recommendation list, must have took you absolutely ages to compile. It may interest you here in the UK Rukka gear is classed as the Rolls Royce of motorcycle clothing, like you though I do like a lot of the Klim stuff it really is excellent. Thank you.
Humbly suggest you try to get some Knox gear to test. Their seasonless gear set is incredible. I have found I much prefer it over comparable Klim gear. Would love to get your thoughts after a real world test. Thanks as always for the outstanding content!
Hi Ian, I like your channel very much. Based on your test I bought a Thriumph 1200 GT Pro last year. Now your list is very helpful because I need new riding gear. A lot of greetings from Germany! Willy
Hello Ian, for your next clip about gear, or update, try to include Adventure Spec gear. They are aimed more to the BDR (TET) kind of stuff at the moment, but they are very high quality (up there with Mosko & Klim or even better).
Ian, love your content. Just one missing piece for me here and a topic I would love to see more of your thoughts on which is Air Bag protection. For me, they don't make the Air Bag I want yet (if they did it would be the Tech Air 5 with off-road algorithm and dual cartridges), so I went with the Klim AI Rally in the meantime. I appreciate the peace of mind (I think) I get with added impact protection and think they are probably the future given we see them as mandatory in Rally and GP racing, but with obvious applications at the ADV and even at the commuter level.
For off road helmets you should try the Klim F5 with MIPS, I love it and it is very similar in some ways to the Krios Pro. For hydration why not try Uswe, I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Great video as always, thanks!
Base layer, mid base layer, mid upper, upper base layer, vented jacket, non vented shell for vented jacket. 2500.00 will get you out the door, then there's pants and layers, socks, gloves, electric cords,......so ok 6000.00 is a start. I like the term "incredibly expensive" being thrown in here and there. Adds realism. As if money mattered.
That's a nice collection, though I'm sure you're aware that many motorcyclists especially adv riders and tourers swear by technical hiking/backing etc.. gear given it's usually cheaper and more advanced than typical motorcycle gear for base layers, rain, etc..
I am fan of the channel and I very much appreciate the content, so thank you. Two , I hope, constructive comments : products on the list seem very American based. There are brands like Rukka that need to be mentioned for cold weather. Revit or Held are also quite good (I see you like the Sand). For instance Held Samba are very good gloves for summer. Same with Alpinestars,Richa, Nexx, Touratech, etc. Is a pity that there is a feeling of rush in the video. You obviously put a lot of effort and time on the classification but then is presented very much in a hurry. Maybe two videos one for hot and one for cold weather would allow you to explain a bit more each product. Finally, I know you are not sponsored by anyone but presenting such video wearing a Klim outfit may send the wrong impression to people unfamiliar with the channel. Thanks for the valuable information, I will check a couple of products.
Fantastic video (as usual), Just 1 comment Klim krios pro front chin vent no good if riding in dusty environment I've tried 2 of them , was hoping the 1st was a fluke, front chin vent froze up on both from a little dusty riding, unable to free back up, light plastic cheaply made.
No Dainese? that is a bit of a bummer to be honest. D-Adv2 Jacket and Pant is extremely versatile and great engineered. They have superb base layers for the cold. And I think that you should have a look at the Revit 1-piece that just came out.
Isn’t the only way to test motorcycle protective apparel is crash. The rest is irrelevant, what is comfortable to one person is uncomfortable to another. What I just watched on Fort Nine about CE level protectors just shows motorcycle protective garment manufactures are taking the piss. There is a professor from Melbourne University here in Australia running a website called Motocap, the results he produces different levels of effectiveness compared to the current standard, mainly due to the abrasion surface used in establishing the EN standard which is sliding on concrete, here in Australia and many other places around the world the roads are chip seal and can grind holes in steel crash bars, let alone what it does to skin and bone. Buyer beware. In saying that the list Ian has compiled in relation to base and mid layers I would agree with 100%.
I appreciate the reviews. Thanks! Sorry if I missed it, but do you have a review/links for your recording kit? You capture some excellent footage, and would be interested in what hardware and methods you use. Links to helmet mounts and so on would be appreciated.
Hello, Nice review, thank you very much for the effort you put in. I am currently looking to change my Icon Airflite, terrible helmet for long rides due to it being very noisy. Got to test the Klim krios pro, Arai xd4 and Shoei Hornet Adv. The Klim feels like I am wearing a square cardboard box, and the other two feel very comfortable... It would be very nice if the helmet manufacrers would have all shapes.
I do appreciate all that you do, for this video, it seems you favor KLIM. I wore their Adventure Rally gear last summer, and couldn't sell it fast enough....Anyway have you ever heard of or tried LD Comfort for base layers?
Have you ever considered Motoport's kevlar suits? You're American. No import duty for you. If it wasn't for that, I'd have bought their kevlar mesh one-piece suit. The best protection. Nick
Looking for Adventure Touring gear that doesn’t look like a Power Ranger suit. I’ll go down any road I’d take a Subaru down - nothing more technical than that. No jeans. No laminates.
Considering how much money gear costs- I’ve spent about $4,000 already this spring on minor upgrades and am relatively unsatisfied - you’d think that there were some unicorn options. So far, I’ve not found anything worth the money. I’m sure some of it is due to the fools errand of the big names trying to keep me from thinking I’ll not suffer a scratch if crashing. They do not get me, since it does nothing if I won’t wear it because it’s so uncomfortable, too heavy, difficult to don, too hot, not warm, too stiff and just all-around sucky, why wear anything, especially if it’s just a pain to put gloves on afterwards. I’m confident my fellow riders would generally agree that ADV gear thus far is the world of mediocrity- nothing is so good that we get that it’s only okay. Hopefully Ian, you’ll be able to save me the hassle and waste in your endeavor herein.
I don't want to criticize the video for having NO economy comparisons/suggestions - because that is obviously not the market you choose to support. I just need to spend my time elsewhere when looking for practical recommendations for poor riders.
omg i wear a clapped out motorbike jacket a scarf in winter motorbike jeans with thermals and work boots. i don't like adventure boots because you can't walk in them. 2 good pairs of gloves for summer and winter are a must😊
I tested the Revit Nucleus yesterday, CE AA rated and i think it triumphs the klim Marrakesh for comfort, was perfect and chest protection. Made the market dominating Knox Urbane feel like a stiff pos. Reach out to Pando Moto for reviwes also?

Id recommend people check out the Appalachian Gear Company youtube channel to familiarize yourself with the positive attributes of the alpaca fiber
Don’t forget about Possum fur. Same kind of properties. Pearly Possum socks 🤘🏻
Expensive and not as durable?🥴
Are you salesman?
A smartwool base layer is easily 70 bucks for a thin merino wool shirt, maybe more like 80.00.
100% merino wool goes to shreds fairly quickly.
Pertaining to socks, Darn Tough wool socks are hands down the best socks you can get for feet. Hand made in Vermont with lifetime guarantee.
I’m not sure you’re aware of it but fox makes dual sport / adventure gear. They have two lines. the cheaper line is called defend and the more expensive line is called recon. It’s really nice gear that has a high end feel to it. Nobody has more experience making riding gear than fox.
I am Fat - Stuck with Motoport but so far has done me very very well. Impressed..
huh I thought ass fur would be smellier than other fur.
There is also a lesser known brand called Bowtex with CE AAA, shirt and pants!
Thank you Ian. Perfect timing on the gear content, i am just looking for dual sport gear, thank you for the recommendations, Cheers!!
Quality deception
Very valuable, looking forward to the boot video, hope to see some that are reasonable price yet provide comfort and real protection
Will be getting one soon!
lots of info.....thanks.....I'm actually close to the mortgage approval for my Klim gear...😁😁
Waiting for a review on the new leatt adv line. Looks promising!
Until you next time, thanks for the content.
having wrap around hand guards that block the wind on your hands makes it so i really don't even need heated grips. just a good pair of gloves
This is perfect!!! Thank you! There are so many options out there and this helps filter it down a little bit...
Love this channel, Ian, easily one of the most informative and well produced offerings on UA-cam... best wishes from the UK :)
thanks!
Just bought the Sedici Marco 2 suit on sale. Thanks for doing the hard part, research and evaluation, for us!!!
Agreed on the Klim Socks -- they are comfortable but there is zero odor protection. Oddly I found the best bet for hot feet are the extremely cheap Noru riding socks. I bought half a dozen pairs as they aren't super durable, but they are great!
Wow amazing amount of work and information . Thanks for all you do !
Curious on the MSR heated gloves recommendation. I am not opposed to battery only gloves but it appears the max heat time is 3 hours on low...and they do not offer spare batteries. Does this match your experience?
Really appreciate the input you put into it!💪🏿
For warm weather riding Adventure Spec Mongolia series is amazing. Keeps me cool in hot and humid Queensland Aus weather.
Great information for a new adventure rider in warm climate. Keep it up.
I also have the mosko moto basilisk and use it for snowbiking/timersled and winter adventures, my issue with the basilisk is it smashes my nuts against the seat :(...I guess I'm just gifted ;)
LOVE the workhorse and the kiger and between the s4 and basilisk with enduro or barfly rain pants, I'm good for just about anything.
Love LOVE the leatt air armor shirt pro. nice and cool and provides enough armor for those low speed hard enduro crashes :)
My tech7 drystar, always wet with sweat or water going over the tops, so I much prefer the SG22.
Noted!
Man, I love your content and no-nonsense approach. Thanks for what you do!! I
With all all connections in the Industry who makes to measure Jeans, Jackets, Air Jackets not all of us are 75kg.
Best motorcycle channel in the US by a mile! 👏😀👍🏍
Great 👍 gear review, I use the Knox Urban Pro 2 fantastic for the heat and as a jacket you can use under a warm jacket, “ as armour stays in place “ .
Your always spot on with your reviews and I really value your opinion, thanks for what you do!
I like the Traverse Pants and Ride with Carlsbad Jacket. I need something for Summer because I just cook. I think I will go with Baja.
Great to hear!
Ian, thank you so much for your exhaustive research
Thank you Ian for a very comprehensive gear recommendation list, must have took you absolutely ages to compile. It may interest you here in the UK Rukka gear is classed as the Rolls Royce of motorcycle clothing, like you though I do like a lot of the Klim stuff it really is excellent. Thank you.
Great suggestion!
Thank you for your review, just what I was looking for to make an informed decision!👍🏻
Excellent guide! I just discovered this channel and am really loving it! Thanks!
Great list Ian. Thank you for putting this together for us.
VP of Culinary Services -- love it 😂 ... and love your content even more --keep up the good work !
Willy
Great to hear!
Your videos deserve the Gold Award!
Hello Ian, for your next clip about gear, or update, try to include Adventure Spec gear. They are aimed more to the BDR (TET) kind of stuff at the moment, but they are very high quality (up there with Mosko & Klim or even better).
Very good thank you.
Please provide reviews on airbag vests if possible.
I ride in arctic climates Klim Badlands & Carlsbad all the way.
That's funny..air bag vests.. the latest scam in the name of "safety"...
Absolutely awesome video and huge thanks for all the links.
Indeed, rapid fire. Still useful as sort of an index, though. Thank you
Nice I need a new helmet, good timing 😂
Can’t wait for the BMW off-road review. Curious about the non sport suspension performance overall
Great video! Very informative. I love my Mosko luggage, but unfortunately they don't make clothing for large men.
Good Video! Best item is the Klim Zephyr! Its the best thing I bought the last years.
Klim marrakesh jacket and scott dp rainjacket... job done.
That's a nice collection, though I'm sure you're aware that many motorcyclists especially adv riders and tourers swear by technical hiking/backing etc.. gear given it's usually cheaper and more advanced than typical motorcycle gear for base layers, rain, etc..
I'm looking to get a new jacket for advetnure riding and your review has helped me a lot. Thanks Iain
VP, Culinary services?! It’s great to see the advancement in career path!
I am fan of the channel and I very much appreciate the content, so thank you.
Two , I hope, constructive comments :
products on the list seem very American based.
You can try the Halvarssons Cool socks for hot feet.
I would love to hear from you how Aerostich stacks up to these other brands.
Thank you for being the most wonderful kind of nerd.
I try
No Dainese? that is a bit of a bummer to be honest. D-Adv2 Jacket and Pant is extremely versatile and great engineered. They have superb base layers for the cold. And I think that you should have a look at the Revit 1-piece that just came out.
Would love to hear your thoughts on some of the european gold standard stuff like the rukka or AS. Thanks for the great info.
Will do
Isn’t the only way to test motorcycle protective apparel is crash.
Too bad you didn’t test dainese base layers and sock (their dryarn line). Absolutely best imo.
Hard to keep track of your jobs Ian! Culinary Services now, huh? I guess the previous experience as “Chief Janitor” is directly transferable? 😬
I appreciate the reviews. Thanks! Sorry if I missed it, but do you have a review/links for your recording kit? You capture some excellent footage, and would be interested in what hardware and methods you use. Links to helmet mounts and so on would be appreciated.
Hello,
Nice review, thank you very much for the effort you put in.
Which Klim jacket are you wearing? Im q KTM guy and I loved the colors, LOL
BTW I got the Mosko Moto Pants because of your review, thank you again
I do appreciate all that you do, for this video, it seems you favor KLIM. I wore their Adventure Rally gear last summer, and couldn't sell it fast enough....Anyway have you ever heard of or tried LD Comfort for base layers?
I would definitely agree wit LD Comfort. Good stuff indeed.
Ditto on LD Comfort. Would be interesting to see it compared to Klim’s aggressor.
Checkout dork in the road, he's friends with Ian and reviews some lower priced stuff
Hi Ian,
Waiting for your Tiger 900 Rally Pro videos.
Love Ur show,,,,thank U for Ur knowledge...
omg i wear a clapped out motorbike jacket a scarf in winter motorbike jeans with thermals and work boots. i don't like adventure boots because you can't walk in them.
Thank you for all the good info. 👍🏻
