We always learn about the persecution of Christians in Rome but forget how the pagans were persecuted even worse later on. That’s why polytheism died in the West but Christianity didn’t.

No catholic would tolerate the idea that papal supremacy was a myth. That would be like me saying “there are many LDS who would disagree with the idea that total apostasy occurred, but there are also many who would be perfectly content in conceding true Christianity stuck around some places.” It’s a core doctrine to our faith and if you deny it in any manner you are not catholic.
I take this serious. Loving it also. Question tho, why did Paul feed the Gentiles milk instead of meat pertaining to the principles of the doctrine of Christ??? If you could explain this idea for me, I have a relative that might convert. Thx in advance.
Knowledge is likened to food among children. If you feed a baby meat instead of milk before he is ready, the baby will starve. Likewise with knowledge, if you teach a man deep doctrine without teaching him the basics of the gospel first, that man will be left confused and distraught. So it is with all knowledge that God, Christ, the Holy Ghost, and their prophets teach us line upon line, precept upon precept, and therefore milk before meat
Latter Day Arbiter I completely understand your idea. My thought is why did Paul stop the principles of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost amongst the Gentiles? I’m thinking it was because they were pagan worshippers and like you said they required milk before meat. If this is true are there any sources validating this idea?
@@anthonymagee5725 Paul didn't stop teaching baptism and the gift of The Holy Ghost among the Gentiles. Many of Paul's epistles were letters to people who had already been baptized and thus didn't need baptism.
Hamann9631 I agree with your statement. However in Acts there’s a policy change. I’m just trying to figure out how to explain why the principles of the gospel wasn’t practiced amongst the Jews and why evangelicals believe that those principles doesn’t matter and just have faith alone.
@@davidjanbaz7728 Baptism was a custom in Jewish society under Old Testament law. Since Jesus was brought up observing and following Old Testament law and tradition, he was baptized by John, but as John the Baptist pointed out, he only baptizes with water and he who comes after him shall baptize with holy spirit; after Christ's crucifiction many of the Old Testament laws and practices were null and void as a new Administration was now in effect- the Administration of Grace, where we still live within today, and water Baptism is no longer necessary. However we humans are proud and stubborn and it is hard to give up old traditions and customs, such as not eating unclean meats (God had to tell Peter more than once what He calls now clean, call not thou unclean), and water baptism. Romans 10:9-10 tells us clearly the requirement for salvation and it does not include a water baptism.

It's so important to shine light on early Christianity and the history, even if it makes us uncomfortable.

Actually polytheism went underground
There's a revival of polytheism with the new age movement and wicca ^^

Oh man how I wish I had a history teacher like you
How would one determine which books of the Bible should be canonized?
Sean S answer back then: politics
david janbaz: How do we know what year a gospel was written?
Latter Day Arbiter: What about in the present day?
david janbaz: So, within how many years of the resurrection were the first gospels written? Were they all written around the same time?
david janbaz: And who were the authors of the books?
I recently moved to Utah.
