- Echo of Neltharion Normal and Echo of Neltharion Heroic guide! Echo of Neltharion is the penultimate raid boss in the Aberrus raid of Dragonflight. This boss guide for Echo of Neltharion will walk you through the important healer, tank and DPS raid mechanics you need to clear this Aberrus raid boss.

You fight Echo of Neltharion in three phases. Earthen walls break movement and line of sight, and you can destroy sections of the wall by being knocked into them by the Calamitous Strike tank knockback or Rushing Darkness general knockback. Do so when needed. In P1, you break a wall to get an escape path from the Echoing Fissure AOE. In P2, you break walls to access the Voice from Beyond adds to kill them. In P3, stop breaking walls.
Spread out with Volcanic Heart to avoid damaging allies. Point knockback mechanics at an exterior wall unless needed to break earth walls. In Phase Two, get to and kill the adds quickly while also working on the boss. At 35% health in Phase Two, Neltharion's health will freeze so you cannot push it lower than that.
In Phase Three, the Echo of Neltharion will transform wall segments into portals that spawn Aberration adds to cleave down. He'll fire up the deadly Ebon Destruction cast, and to survive everyone must step onto a portal. Doing this despawns the portal, which helps reduce adds but runs the risk of running out of portals if the fight runs long.
Heroic Echo of Neltharion gets the addition of Corruption in Phase Two, making several players capable of DPSing the Voice from Beyond absorb shields but hostile to allies. Be careful not to cleave your friends! It also makes the Aberration adds from Phase 3 increasingly dangerous the longer they're up.

Thank you for making a great guide and keeping it short and to the point. Had real issues with other guides being so long that my mind keeps wondering off mid vid, this right here is perfect!
Wish more guides were like this for Mythic too. Nice and quick information, what to do with mechanics, not 20 minutes long. Great video!
Time efficiency is a direct trade off with outcome effectiveness in this case most likely. So making more videos to simply tend to a different audience might not always be in the interest of the content creator because it is more costly to do.
@@katcakesirl The people that make 30 minute long mythic videos aren't required. They could be way shorter but they are too lazy to make good videos. This is coming from an 8/8 raider this last tier, these fights are not that complex.
@@psyonicpanda Ok, whatever you say. First you say 20 minutes is too long, and now you are focalizing your point on the 30 minute reference point. The reality is if you look at video length of boss guides they show reasonable and symmetric variation (close to normality) yet you are arguing its heavily right-skewed, which is simply not true.
Imagine if you could look at period t lagged effects of future acquisition of similar videos as a proxy of measuring initial video length learning (content retention) effectiveness.... Oh wait. :p

Oh I can only imagine it will be did our first guild run and cleared all the way here then just getting used to this fight and didn’t down it before our time for raid was over but died here a good 8 or so times

I've always been curious. Does anyone know why Hazel never makes a guide for the last boss of raids?
last boss of raids isn't available on PTR so she can't make a vid unless they've killed the boss (which always takes time on live servers)

My small brain needs a Sarkareth guide D:
A bit disappointing they got rid of the part of the corruption where it makes your character periodically do a specific ability, like Warriors would Bladestorm. I understand why they changed it, and it's a good call, but I just like how thematic the older version was, like a Rogue Shadow Stepping around and stabbing people in the back, or and Evoker using Deep Breath and just blasting everything in their path. But it would have made class stacking pretty much needed for the Mythic version. Oh well, still looks like a good fight.
Could have just been a normal/heroic only mechanic?
