My experience was in iron forge. He stayed in the entrance corridor, healing himself off low levels while all the max level raiders despatreely tried to take him out faster than his healing. People rushed in from SW on the tram to fight him. People were screaming in chat for low levels to flee. Floor was more skeletons than ground and ghosts filled the same space more than the living. Supposedly even Magni joined in on the fight but I was too busy getting dead

Back when "just play another game" Usually meant uninstalling the one game you have, because it was taking up %70 of the space on your 25 gb hard drive.
I knew about the blood disease and the scourge invasion event, but I had no idea about this one. The WoW player base are some of the most creative and terrifying bunch of people I’ve ever seen

@@strider8662 Bro this happened in original... constantly. I'm pretty sure Blizz started classic in a patch that didn't allow bosses to be kited to cities, they would reset. Edit: yea was addressed in video. This couldn't happen in Classic, which was in the later patch.

If you want to learn more about the history of the game and it's development, Blizzard has a couple of documentaries on it, one of which I think is called Looking for Group or something like that? I forgot... If you want to learn about WoW lore however, there are a bunch of UA-camrs out there that can definitely help you in getting started. I'd personally recommend watching Nobbel87, as well as Platinum WoW. They're both very informative. As for personal experiences, I'd recommend reading the WoW Chronicle, maybe the WoW Ultimate Visual Guide if you want some old lore recaps, the Grimoire of the Shadowlands and Beyond (If you want a Cosmic understanding of Death and whatnot), as well as the other books that are out there. For the comics and all, there is the Ashbringer stories, the DC published comics, etc. But the canonicity of the DC published comics are kinda weird, considering some aspects are basically just not the game in the actual lore, like Me'dan for example. There are a LOT of things out there that can help out. Hopefully these examples are a good enough start. If you want to START reading the books, I'd first recommend reading the Last Guardian, Lord of the Clans, Rise of the Horde, and the WoTA Trilogy books. They're all such amazing reads.
This brings back so many memories, I also loved how everything was animated and I hope you might cover some of the great events that occurred that were community made.

I remember back during TBC when Highlord Kruul visited Orgrimmar with his puppies, fun times. I even got close enough with my rogue to pickpocket him just to find out he had no pockets to pick, then immediately get mauled by one of his puppies. Best xpac launch event ever.

That was an extremely fun story 😂❤. We had a similar experience back when Fiesta was a fun game. Some of the original developers were inspired by the old days of blizzard. So I wouldn't be surprised if two events we had were inspired from this incident. Back when the company running the game was good, we had the same experience with a boss called mini dragon. The first time it happened though it was so bad we couldn't kill it. 😂❤ they had to shut us out of the server and do a quick patch that day before letting us back on. 😂 A GM always ran our monster invasion event because he had a great sense of humor. And we also had an event called kill the GM. It took us 3 to 5 years before we Finally defeated him. Took half the server to do it to. 😂
Oh boy. I haven't played video games in ages but this was real nostalgia trip. I still remember when this happened when I was in SW. At first people were posting that horde had been seen in Goldshire in the chat. A few minutes later this big demon shows up and everyone died instantly.

Heard about it but it didn't happen on my server at the time. I played alpha and beta with my lock and we used to pull Lord Banehollow from Felwood to Crossroads with about 6 other locks. Then we would summon a Doomguard and all our infernals and then release them. Back then they would not despawn and go back to their elite status. Banehollow would sleep everyone while the doomguard would slow any who tried to escape while the infernals mopped up. Always took several large coordinated groups to clear them out. The town would be locked down for hours. As for the Corrupted Blood event I WAS there lol. The interesting part is that people were actively trying to spread the plague to the entire game world. I eventually escaped the cities and learned to stay in the farthest zones using small camps that had a couple of NPCs, you know the ones that sell basic food and weapons as a place to operate out of until the devs patched it. Anyone with a pet kept trying to keep the curse on it and start it back up again. Devs FINALLY patched it out but the CDC took an interest in it and studied the event end to end. There were skeletons littered in every part of the world. Made Kazzak look like a joke. The idea was sparked by the first person to take the living bomb out of Molten Core, a female gnome warlock. Got the living bomb on her pet and she dismissed it and took it to the auction house in Iron Forge and it exploded and killed everyone in a small radius from the AH. The hattari blood curse from ZG was just the next iteration.
The first Kaiju made landfall in Stormwind. The second, Orgrimmar. Then the third hit Shattrath, and we knew: This was not gonna stop. Dee-dle-doo doo-dle-dee!
PLEASE bring this back Blizzard! I was there for one of Kazzaks attacks. There is a reason people are talking about this almost 20 years later. This is the stuff we all miss

Happened to ironforge too which was often just as if not more populated. People rolled in from SW to fight him through the tram.
Back when there were no achievements, so players made them themselves, alongside epic memorable events. I really miss those days.

There was no auction house in Stormwind back then - only in Ironforge 😉 the other auction houses were introduced in patch 1.9.0 in 2006.

Then we would summon a Doomguard and all our infernals and then release them. Back then they would not despawn and go back to their elite status. Banehollow would sleep everyone while the doomguard would slow any who tried to escape while the infernals mopped up. Always took several large coordinated groups to clear them out. The town would be locked down for hours. As for the Corrupted Blood event I WAS there lol. The interesting part is that people were actively trying to spread the plague to the entire game world.
I eventually escaped the cities and learned to stay in the farthest zones using small camps that had a couple of NPCs, you know the ones that sell basic food and weapons as a place to operate out of until the devs patched it. Anyone with a pet kept trying to keep the curse on it and start it back up again. Devs FINALLY patched it out but the CDC took an interest in it and studied the event end to end. There were skeletons littered in every part of the world. Made Kazzak look like a joke.
The idea was sparked by the first person to take the living bomb out of Molten Core, a female gnome warlock. Got the living bomb on her pet and she dismissed it and took it to the auction house in Iron Forge and it exploded and killed everyone in a small radius from the AH. The hattari blood curse from ZG was just the next iteration.
