That album is fabulous and this song in particular warms my heart. If you love Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, then you NEED to get The Captain and the Kid. It's a continuation of EJ and Bernie's story from where "Curtains" ended. Just a beautiful album and I have to disagree with Elton on one thing...their day in the sun will NEVER be over because there is no time limit on good music. This is why Elton's music is still selling...new generations are discovering the greatness of this man and they are loving it...a great lesson in finding out the real talent isn't what you're hearing on the radio these days. Keep it up, EJ and BT ❤️

Still the most sleep-on album of the last 15 years. For these two great songwriters to composed in album form the last 35 years of their partnership-starting with 1970 when they first came to the states to about 2005-is pure musicianship! And EJ even crakes up the volume on a couple of the album cuts. I love this album and the lyrics perfectly tell these two gents stories of the crazy, cartoon-like fame of the early 70s to their still standing tall in the 80s to present. GREAT!
