When I was young, fine restaurants would have a separate room that was a nice bar/lounge that would remain open after the restaurant had closed so you could continue your evening without having to go to a different establishment. These lounges often had a grand piano and a piano player who often was also a singer, who was generally incredibly which made you wonder why he was playing this gig. He had a tip jar on his piano and it would be full of "folding money." This song takes me back to those times and I can almost see the cigarette smoke that would be swirling in the air and smell the slight scent of too many beers spilled on the carpet in the past. The mood was always romantic and sometimes melancholy. I love how Freddie captures that mood so well in this song and plants that strong image in my mind.
That’s exactly the scene that popped in my head! This was a great song!
This evokes the feel of sitting in a little dive jazz bar. Freddie on piano, John sitting on a stool - strumming along on his bass, Roger using his brushes on the drums.... Cigarette smoke hangs in the air, the clink of ice cubes in the drinks, soft chatter of the customers. And the music plays on.
And Brian hearing in the other side of the bar xd
Freddie often stated, that he could write songs about his own emotions only, there were happy and stormy times in his life and all these reflects in his music and lyrics.
Just Freddie and his piano … doesn’t get any better than that ✌🏼💛
And John's fretless bass, the eighth wonder of the world.
And Roger. But you are right, it doesn't get any better than Freddie and his piano.

Queen's music is so versatile, it's like they have a time machine in the studio
One of my favourite Queen songs ever. So beautiful. Tq for reacting to this.
Awwww Freddie sulking while sitting on a barstool intoxicated with that special brew!! Haven’t you ever wanted to be melancholy for just a moment?? 😮💨💨🥃🍹🍸🧊💦
Yessss ma’am 🍻🍻
Yes but with Freddie sharing his special brew
@@tommullenix9493 Hey there Tom 🙋♀️
There’s also a wonderful LIVE performance of this… There’s NOTHING BETTER than watching Freddie play piano!
Queen did LOTS of time traveling:
“ ‘39” is an old-fashioned folk-style song about time travel!
“GOOD COMPANY” is also one of my FAVORITES, w a really FUN MV…
and, BOTH songs are sung by BRIAN.
Absolutely love it. Just Freddie & his piano, with a subtle assist from John & Roger.
Live is amazing. I think Houston is the only one on tape. Many great live audio as well.
Brilliantly done
Queen “I want it all “ 🔥🔥🔥🔥thanks yo
Thank you! This is my favorite queen song. I didn't think anyone else knew it.🌹❤️🌹
I know it, it's one of the best songs they did. That never got any airplay.
I remember getting this album for my birthday in 1977 , I just turned Eleven.
News of the World LP when it came out, we still played the Whole album over and over.
Keep up the good job. Still on the fence about subscribing, going to check out another one. I did enjoy your presentation and excellent song choice. Most just go for the hits with big views.
Freddie could sing all types of music!
Beautiful Freddie
Another one I think you would like is Liar at the Rainbow.

They could do any style!
Wow!!! That is amazing 👏 🤩🥰
It reminds you of music hall shows🤩
I really love this one. Great reaction
Love this one by Freddie! Another different genre song that is fun is "Sleeping on the Sidewalk". It has Brian May as the vocal.
A torchsong is what they called it.
Ciao❤

After Freddie died, the three remaining members sang, Only the Good Die Young. John left the group after this song and never played with Queen again. Bring a box of Kleenex.
