@@bensims7501 that’s exactly the point. They send them in but then not give a shit when guys get left behind. It’s not their friends or family. Cuz I guarantee you if it was they’d have done everything they could to get them back. That’s the same with everybody. Nobody cares bro. If it isn’t family or maybe a close friend they won’t care about you. They may say they do. But they don’t.
Absolute full respect to our friends across the pond who without hesitation offered to help, and provided a drone. Bullshit politicians who’d never have the balls to go to the front line themselves, what a disgrace. Glad the SAS took matters into their own hands to get the job done. Again, big respect and gratitude to our allies/friends.
Less likely to happen these days. The indecision shown in this video was even worse with Benghazi. The ethos has changed. The military has increasingly been politicized.
I read that they were actually apprehended by the Iraqi police, whilst sat in a car which was packed with explosives, and they were disguised and dressed as Arabs. This tells me they were likely there committing false-flag terrorist attacks, in order to sow chaos and sectarian discord in the country. This is how the western coalition forces roll when they invade other countries on false pretexts, in order to steal their natural resources. And guys like these two are unfortunately nothing more than useful tools in the hands of our corrupt western "leaders", and the bloodthirsty oligarchs who control them. This explains why the British and Americans went to such great lengths to spring them out of jail as soon as possible. Nothing to be proud of really, when you think about it.
Load of BS, try going into Russia or China and getting your "brothers" out, you clowns play soldiers too long with weaker opponents though I do agree that politicians who initiate war should lead form the front as was the case centuries ago.

@@ZJC1234 You also apparently missed the seconds before that stating "the soldiers initially tried to talk their way out of it". They were undercover to find a guy with terrorist connections too - do you expect them to go "one sec I gotta call my boss the MI6 just in case this goes downhill" like really?
@@ZJC1234 Our police officers wouldn't be aiding and abetting terrorists while in positions of authority, nor would they try and force people out of vehicles without just cause (and no, arguing isn't just cause) at a checkpoint. Its like you convieniently forgot that the British had already arrested a "police mastermind" earlier that week - why the f□ck would the Iraqi's care about diplomacy after that? (Especially considering "trying to talk themselves out of it" is already a form of diplomacy) Well for one, they didn't apparently considering they captured and didn't just arrest. And considering when diplomacy was used AGAIN - they captured those diplomats as well! But yeah, lets just bang our heads against a wall - maybe one of the bricks will crack before people actually die. -.-
Much respect to those men who risked not only their lives, but their careers to save their brothers. Politicians have their place and time, but I’m glad these men took action into their own hands. There are some things you can’t force out of human nature, and saving loved ones is one of them.
While I think most politician are scumbags, the move to not make a move and wait for things to die down is the right move. Remember these are soldiers and death is a risk they signed up for. The forceful attempt to rescue 2 lives can escalate quickly and results in more unnecessary conflicts leading to more deaths and Destructions. Those sas making a move before high command to rescue their comrades acted way out of line and make a mockery of being elite professional soldiers.
@@jasonchui111 Don't agree that most politicians are scumbags, I think it's all of them are. If it was The criminal Blair that was hostage then the SAS should of walked away. No need to risk your life for scum. But help your own mate's is the right thing to do.
Another interesting fact about this is: the Royal Marine aircrewman in the back of the Seaking was the man who spotted the hostages being moved. He was monitoring the entire op from the Seaking using the onboard MX15 camera and quickly relayed the information to the operators on the ground, guiding them to the exact location the hostages had been moved to. His actions were paramount to the success of the operation as without his observations and diligence, the ground forces would not have known where the hostages had been moved. He was subsequently praised for his actions by the members of the SF and the hostages and was awarded the Queens Commendation for Valuable Service.
Cheers for adding this info. In every operation there's a whole team working double-hard to make it a success. Yes, the storytelling focuses on the guys on the ground, but they wouldn't be getting it done without a ton of skill and effort from a lot of others.
It was a Royal Navy Sea King but the commando assault version so probably manned by SF trained crew, they knew what to look for and guide the rescue team in.

look into the story before thinking you know everything. they were driving around shooting at civilians and when stopped they killed a policeman. why were they dressed up in arab clothing?. they were sent out to cause trouble and incite the people and to justify the UK's presence there.
If the US and UK politicians had loyalty and integirty they would not have gone to Iraq in the first place, since we now 100% know, they went into Iraq on a lie.
I don't know of a tighter bond between two SF teams than the Brits and the Americans. All the guys I had the pleasure of dealing with across the pond were brave, professional, skillful and willing to help. Truly brothers in arms.
I've heard a couple of countries mentioned but none were the US. Usually Australia or Canada are the ones mentioned as having the tightest of bonds with the UK military. NZ gets the odd mention as well.
@@MayYourGodGoWithYou of course ex commonwealth will be close to UK. As for military with the ability to project power like the UK, the only option is the US.
I imagine all the countries mentioned are close with the British but the US and U.K. forces are good enough to stand on their own feet while the other countries will often require their help and training leading to working with each other more often
Tony blair was prime minister in 2005 so it doesn't surprise me that the political class would leave our soldiers in that situation. How blair is walking around freely still and has not been done in the Hague is ridiculous.
If you think Blair belongs in The Hague then you must agree that the war was wrong. Which then means the SAS were ultimately in the wrong here as they were the aggressors.
Love you British lads! Brass balls, real men, real brothers!!! The Americans would do the same and so would the Canadians! God bless you all and regardless of what nationality we thank you all for your service!
Here is hoping we as Americans can do the same. We might have some real problems if trump gets reelected. He has openly flouted the idea that he would pull us out of NATO. That kind of loyalty is unimaginable to the average human being - clearly it takes a very special kind of person to be willing to expose oneself to such risk for the good of others. I am in awe. And yet they aren`t treated with the undying respect they have earned upon return. Often left begging, living street rough with unattended mental problems/PTSD/Suicide. All fixable but politicians don`t give a fuck. I piss on them
I can just imagine the conversation that took place, like "alright boys, command says no, so you know what that means right? Fuck em, lets bring our brothers home". Nothing was stopping these guys from bringing their brothers back safely. Respect to our friends across the pond.
"Bring them home".... Huh. Home? From where? So they weren't at home, defending their country against a brutal invading force that raped and murdered and tortured a million people, were they? So who were they, what were they doing there? oooooh, right.
lmao these SAS soldiers are pathetic, just to be clear, these two SAS soldiers murdered 2 police officers and then fled the scene while being chased by Iraqi policemen. They then stopped, turned around and tried to talk their way out only to be kidnapped (how pathetic). Then the British command sent an ultimatum to the prison where they were being held and the two soldiers who delivered the ultimatum also got kidnapped. Its also pathetic how they had to use a shit ton of equipment against lightly armed militias and then breaking down the prison walls allowing prisoners to escape. pathetic and messy as well as unprofessional. they love to make it look like a clean and quick rescue operation when in reality it wasnt. no resistance was met anyways, the two SAS soldiers were just left in the room lmao
Their leaders didn’t answer the phone because no one wants to tell an SAS operative “no, you can’t rescue your brothers”. Props to Delta for offering their help but I’m not surprised by the offer 👍. To this who don’t know, Delta was originally created because of a televised SAS hostage rescue and trained by them. To my knowledge, they do joint exercises twice a year in both US and British territories
I don't know how often but the two regts do exchange skills and knowledge. As far as I know it is normal for there to be exchange of officers to share that knowledge
Such honor among comrades is humbling. We should all be grateful that such men stand ready to perform the most dangerous missions with a level of professionalism unheard of in the civilian world. For the record, I am one of those civilians who feel duty bound to show service members the utmost respect.
As an ex-US Army soldier. One way or the other those men would come home safe to their friends and family. And I would have gone a little further and made sure that anyone else thinking about doing something like that again would think twice. Sometimes the non-military leaders just don't get it. At this level you are not fighting for your country you are fighting for your friends and family.
Is this the same SAS team that was driving around shooting members of the public to generate civil unrest n the same British military that invaded Iraq n Afghanistan in two illegal occupations killing millions? They are murders

And nowhere in the tale is the car full of explosives - that's just your supposition. Well funnily enough it was us British who invented the modern day Special Forces. We trained the Green Berets into superb soldiers during the Vietnam conflict after Charlie Beckwith had seen service as an exchange officer with 22 SAS in Malaya.
@@TheScouseassassin Nice try but it was the Germans who invented Special Forces, or more specifically, a single German named Otto Scorzany (misspelled?).
@@bilbobaggins1934 Seriously? Otto Skorzeny was a devout Nazi, an SS officer but never established any Special Forces! An SS officer rescues an Italian from house arrest in Italy guarded only by Italian soldiers...hardly Seal Team 6 material is it? First, the SAS know what they sign up for and know that being captured could mean their demise. With that out of the way, I can't see how the other SAS soldiers could have done anything different. I didn’t know this until about 6/7 years ago but my dad’s best friends brother was SAS. I only met him a handful of times when I was a little girl and I remember asking my dad why he was so quiet and moody compared to his brother who was upbeat and cheerful. He would say “I’ll tell you when you’re older”. Anyway I forgot for years and then dad’s friend came up in conversation because he’d moved away and I suddenly remembered his “moody” brother. Dad told me about his job and the awful things he’d been involved in and it soberly made me realise why he seemed moody. The guy was harder than a coffin nail.
I’ve seen plenty of interviews with Delta operators who say without a doubt that the SAS was one best and well trained groups to work with…that says a lot.
Once again respect for this achievement, the ability, the camaraderie and the courage to take risks, among other things That's what distinguishes these units. Who dares Wins. Greetings from Germany.
Bad idea to piss off the SAS. They took the initiative and didn't wait for pen pushers to give the go ahead. One thing that amazed me was that the captors got away. They were probably training for the Olympics 😅😅😅😅. Seriously they knew that it would not work out well for them if they hung around.
There should never have been any delay in the top brass giving permission for them to go rescue the it buddies. Thanks to the U. S for volunteering to go in, they also never leave a Brother behind, even if it puts themselves in danger. Thanks for sharing.
These men are every bit as deserving of being recorded in history as any Roman, Spartan, or other warrior to ever walk the earth. To risk your life and enforce your will on an enemy for the sake of a brother is maybe the most honorable thing someone can do, regardless of race, religion, or politics.
No greater love has one for another but to lay down his life for his brother. Respect for the courage and bravery of those who still fight on the right side of life.
🇬🇧 This is just one reason that we English are proud of our SAS and may they be protected for many years. PS. Many thanks to the Americans for offering their help. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
Someone asked, a young German asked why the United States always sides with the British in war. Why we fought to be separate, but we have always sided with or teamed up with the British. Such a cool question from a German who wouldn't understand the relationship. I put it like this. We pick on each other, whine, make fun of one another, etc. But they are us, and we are them. It's an instinct. I look upon an SAS member, a Royal Marine, Navy, Army soldier with the same respect and admiration as I do a US soldier. I get offended even when I see the Queens Guard used as a prop. That really makes me embarrassed when I see Americans do that. It's literally an instinct. I sit and watch this as an American and even I feel proud. The British. Just as bad ass... just more manners. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
Well done to those who did the right thing. The British government was absolutely in the wrong. What were they thinking? Poor judgement on they're part. The SAS members are very much supported here, and always will be. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

The government were right, they'd killed an Iraqi policeman and were rightfully arrested for it. If I was a politician and some of my soldiers killed a law enforcement officer in a country they were militarily occupying I would absolutely agree that they should be arrested and tried
@@jackholloway1 Your perspective is very interesting. I suppose I didn't watch the video with careful attention, as I wasn't aware that they had killed an Iraqi policeman. If that is the case, then I don't understand how anyone could object to these soldiers being judged by the Iraqi people.
God Bless these Men who put their life on the line for their brothers it’s a shame governments all of them do not have the Integrity and courage these men do
I love stories like these. The old “you won’t let us save him? Fine we will do it ourselves and kill all the hostage takers.” Orders or not that’s what they did. They’re the badasses. I’m nowhere near a man compared to these special forces guys.
I happened to be working as a contracted police trainer along side British police officers in Basra when this went down. Things were “tense” when the rescue happened. Our bosses (American) told us to be ready to pull out, but it didn’t come to that. On our visits to area police stations, we were protected by British military. These guys are bad ass, and the SAS guys are fierce! I think the militia douche bags did the right thing by running, because they weren’t up to a showdown with SAS commandos willing to do whatever to get their brothers back.
There are many stories about various national Arab forces, untrained, flying lazy loops but bugging out when American or Israeli fighters appear. I think most of them are worthless and I hope they remain so.
They got caught up in a checkpoint, and were out gunned and out numbered. We got caught at checkpoints all the time, and they were the most nerve wracking moments of the 3 yrs I spent there. They chose to surrender, expecting their government would get them released. They did the best they could under terrible circumstances.

I’ve seen plenty of interviews with Delta operators who say without a doubt that the SAS was one best and well trained groups to work with…that says a lot.
The guy who founded the Deltas did an officer exchange with the SAS. Apparently, he took detailed notes and got as much advice as he could.
I am proud of our elite soldiers. Their commitment is exemplary. Thank you for your service
Once again respect for this achievement, the ability, the camaraderie and the courage to take risks, among other things
That's what distinguishes these units.
I would assume "got away" means gone missing. IE executed and denial... For political reasons.
@@rahowherox1177 I was hoping (thinking 😀) that same thing. 😀).
There should never have been any delay in the top brass giving permission for them to go rescue the it buddies.
Thanks to the U. S for volunteering to go in, they also never leave a Brother behind, even if it puts themselves in danger.
Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely right , never leave a fellow soldier behind 👍
Never leave anybody behind not just soldiers.
These men are every bit as deserving of being recorded in history as any Roman, Spartan, or other warrior to ever walk the earth. To risk your life and enforce your will on an enemy for the sake of a brother is maybe the most honorable thing someone can do, regardless of race, religion, or politics.
nah all these people are trash, they all ganged up on a small country in middle east cause they had oil
modern army are not warriors. they move their finger from time to time and dont even get close to another soldier. Modern warfare is for sissies.
They're part of an invading force who wefe arrested for killing local police officers. You really idolize these kind of poeple?
@@IconicMovieLinesfuck yea bruh
@@IconicMovieLines thank god some one with common sense
No greater love has one for another but to lay down his life for his brother. Respect for the courage and bravery of those who still fight on the right side of life.
imagine going to a foreign country shoot at their police and then act like a victim.
🇬🇧 This is just one reason that we English are proud of our SAS and may they be protected for many years. PS. Many thanks to the Americans for offering their help. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
British!!!!
I worked at a command for 3 years that was a mixture of US and UK personnel. You Brits are awesome!
@@andyhwell8419 Thank you. I have never been in the Military but I spent many years making high explosives for our Military personnel.
No real Brit would make the mistake of calling the UK military " English".
@@snowflakemelter1172 well snowflake I’m as British as they come, I’m NOT Scottish OR Welsh, I’m English. History lesson FREE.
Respect to the U.S.A
@joeloliver9544 Thank You. Returned 7 fold.
Never joke with British SAS officers,i love this kind of brotherhood, they didn't leave their fellow members to die,thi is an act of true Godly love
The SAS Soldiers were Right to go and get their brothers. You do everything you can to rescue your brothers. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you for the support! 💪🏼
Well done to those who did the right thing. The British government was absolutely in the wrong. What were they thinking? Poor judgement on they're part. The SAS members are very much supported here, and always will be. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
you mean the snowflake goverments not just tory, but greens , liberals and labour , all siiting at home tossing there mate off, as they are all perverts as well as cowards
The government were right, they'd killed an Iraqi policeman and were rightfully arrested for it. If I was a politician and some of my soldiers killed a law enforcement officer in a country they were militarily occupying I would absolutely agree that they should be arrested and tried
Nothing new the gov always shit on its own people 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
@@jackholloway1 Your perspective is very interesting. I suppose I didn't watch the video with careful attention, as I wasn't aware that they had killed an Iraqi policeman. If that is the case, then I don't understand how anyone could object to these soldiers being judged by the Iraqi people.
God Bless these Men who put their life on the line for their brothers it’s a shame governments all of them do not have the Integrity and courage these men do
So proud of our lads. Huge thanks to our American cousins for watching our backs.
Hear hear!!
Shame on the politicians who weren't prepared to back our soldiers.
I love stories like these. The old “you won’t let us save him? Fine we will do it ourselves and kill all the hostage takers.” Orders or not that’s what they did. They’re the badasses. I’m nowhere near a man compared to these special forces guys.
the men on the ground are always in a better position to assess the situation.
If they are that ‘badass’ why did they allow themselves to 1. Get caught twice in a few days 2. Get arrested?
They got caught up in a checkpoint, and were out gunned and out numbered. We got caught at checkpoints all the time, and they were the most nerve wracking moments of the 3 yrs I spent there. They chose to surrender, expecting their government would get them released. They did the best they could under terrible circumstances.
@@bevalexander5897 I’m sure the SAS can do many things well, however, covert surveillance in a city where they stick out like a sore thumb is not one of them, clearly.
@@Tamarlane389 there were and still are hundreds of operations carried out successfully by our SF in the middle East, this was just one that went wrong .
The Iraqi police were supposed to be 'allies' but it turns out they were as corrupt as most Iraqis are.
If you're a special operator working with an intelligence service, you might expect that getting hung out to dry is in the job description.
Can’t ever trust those guys.
Beautiful story and F the Politicians. Hopefully they never have to be rescued and know what its like to hear no never mind. Or Not. F them.
Its amazing what those Soldiers did on their own.
I was in Basra when this all was going off. The SAS came to us (Royal Engineers) about using one of our AVRE to use as the breaching tanks because of its clearing blades.
The SAS soldiers absolutely did the right thing in rescuing their comrades.
How can they be Hostages when they MURDERED a policeman? why is breaking 2 murders out of jail th right thing? i dont get it lol
their comrades were war criminals
@@Vittrich If you read the description it would help: "In 2005, 2 operators from the British SAS were on a mission in Iraq to support the MI6 intelligence service. The objective of the mission was to shadow corrupt police officers who had links to terrorist organizations. After they were stopped by this very group and the policemen tried to drag them out of their vehicle, the special forces opened fire and killed 2 of the attackers." So there you have it.
@@bazooka712 'there you have it" have what exactly ? all those claims are alleged what we know for sure is that 2 pigs invaded a country for no reasons and killed a policeman for investigating them, only clowns will defend this behavior
@@Vittrich Correction, they neutralized a terrorist.
Breaking heroes out is absolutely the right thing.
But feel free to forego all the benefits of Western civilization and go live in a mud hut and shit in a bucket..
No religion, polici motives will ever be greater the love these brothers have for each other.
Typical lack of guts from the higher ups. Well done to everyone involved in the rescue.
the same higher ups who invaded the country on made up pretexts
typical propaganda lies... killing cops instead of getting arrested.. nice
What they don’t know they can’t refuse.
Yup
Politicians should be fed to the enemy.
What wonderful soldiers. This reminded me of Benghazi and how our government wouldn't let our soldiers go in to save our citizens there. Thank goodness our wonderful soldiers went in on their own to save the people that our government didn't want saved. People are opening their eyes all over the world and realizing that governments don't care about their soldiers and this is why very few people are willing to go into the military any more. May God be with all soldiers and protect them.
MI6: Don't escalate.
US: LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!
Politicians have no shame when they send soldiers to war to fight and die but don't have the balls to actually back up these soldiers in the war they created and wanted. Politicians like that should be nowhere near power. Those soldiers on the ground must have felt helpless and embarrassed.
As a citizen who needs to serve his 2 years mandatory national service to his country, I commend the soldiers who planned and executed their rescue mission brilliantly without waiting for orders from the commanders. We are in the era of thinking army, not soldiers who blindly follow or wait for orders. These are good soldiers who has dignity with a strong sense of brotherhood who will leave no man behind.
I salute these soldiers.
Okay zogbot.
These the two that dressed like wamen, wore wigs and shot up a wedding killing civilians trying to stir Sunni vs Shia blood feud and they got caught.
stay alive.
Sadly we live in an era of a thinking army. where clearance is still needed to act on the soldiers plan of attack
It is the way they are trained. They don't wait for their superiors to give them orders, they think for themselves and do what they consider necessary.
@@valy673 Something the SAS sometimes ignore if they feel it's necessary.
Worked with 22 in Bosnia, Iraq & Afghanistan. And with our Yankee cousin Delta in Basra (Op Telic 9) . Have the outmost respect for this special soldiers . Down to earth and will always welcome us Fijian lads to have a joke with and talk about RUGBY 🏉
Respect, no matter the reason, we should never leave our own behind, and hats off to that Col sending his men in without support, He took that phrase, "better to say sorry than ask for permission" to heart
The phrase "Lions led by Donkeys" originally used to describe the British infantry of WW1 and to blame the generals that led them would actually be better used in this case of the brave SAS men and the cowardly politicians who turned their backs on them.
It was Bliar and Bush, what did anyone expect them to do? They lied in order to begin the war and they simply continued lying to continue the war. Certainly weren't going to support the UK troops who hadn't been consulted in the first place (bet they consulted the US war machine though, they must have made a small fortune from this ILLEGAL - and I don't mean the rescue - escapade)
Love this channel!!!! Love the initiative of the SAS
Thank you man appreciate the support 💪🏼
