- A guide on how to setup your own purified water farm! Setting up a successful purified water farm will give you purified water overtime that you can sell to vendors for bottle caps, or have a couple as a healing item.

This is a huge point. Quality of life in Fallout 4 just destroys one of the main motivators in the Fallout 3 story.

Well fallout 3 was on large-scale fallout 4 is on small scale by comparison. I don't know people are whining water purifiers are easy to make, just the scale makes it hard.

243 water and 0 defense will result in a raider attack at about 3 minutes past sunrise the next morning!
I have 1000+ water 0 defense in Spectacle Island, no raids
I have +7500 water and that produces +5000 water can. I have 240 defence, but spectacle island gets attacked tho

i built my water farm at the island. i built over the boat and made my base a water producing FORTRESS. plus u get 20 free power from the generator in the boat

Remember to empty your workshop of all drinks or more purified water won’t spawn. I put a small cooler next to my workshop to put all of my water in.

Just don't put more than 45k water cans in the same cooler or any other type of storage box, because it may gltich and reduce the amount for some reason.

@@gageshaw2113 Have you never had 45k of an item? Anyways, if you ever reach that amount just build many chests in order to always store about 40k of an item, which is the safest number. Never past than 45k, ok? It's true because i tested it all and unfortunately lost some of my water when I stored more than 45k. So yeah 40k per chest is fine.
2023. Havent done a play through in probably 5 years. Safe to say I remembered exactly how to do this and wanted to confirm it. Stay safe settlers.

I currently have this water farm in sanctuary hills that produces 1800-2000 water. But once i made the farm at spectacle island that could produce over 5k, but it was so many water pumps that sometimes it would glitch if you modify the energy wires, forcing me to delete the wire from the generator to assign the wire again.

My workshop caps at 9 purified water but im producing over 400. I removed all aid items from the bench but it still only produces 9?
I got like 30 fusion cores by selling all my waters in 2 days (IRL and not combined in terms of gameplay) I made 5000 purified waters (80,000 caps for me) and I sold it all it's so good but I only got 20k caps I spent the rest of 60,000 caps on other materials, I made water purifier (Industrial) on Nordhagen beach almost doubling my production rate but I think it is over double the production rate by a little since in Nordhagen beach I don't have any settlers

so I got cap collector and mass production of 573 purified water every 2 missions from min men and buy every junk and build a mega city I get around 13,000 caps everyone but need to redistribute most of the waters.....
I got 7 water and got 60 settlers between 3 settlements and can't build any adhesive

I'm up to 72 Industrial Purifiers...Spectacle Island doesn't get raided and comes with a free 20 power from the generator mounted inside the green boat.
That's weird, I got raided by gunners today on The island.
WormyGaming My purifiers are on the FAR end of the island, past mercer's safe house, around the green boat. It must not register them for some reason. I have never seen a raid.

This isnt really cheap. Its a lot better than that bug where you can get infinite bottle cap by constantly buying and selling ammos with the vendors. This method is legitimate.

Whomever thinks that the water selling is broken is game breaking, then they're forgetting the easy money making methods of Bethesda's previous games especially Skyrim since there was definitely more than one way to make money within a very short time frame

then i bought it on steam, deathclaw came out, so it did tgm,
en no achiements, so now i redo it, chose melee build, i wonder how those big things will go with this,
but i made 6 prof water, made a trader, thought i get it from there, bc i pauze vids when i think i saw enough, trader sold dirty water, no loss there bc i needed it allot as well,
seemd it ended up in my build craft station..
now.. here it comes.. i made poision spikes, leved me up quick and money was doable,
now i get the water, but much that doesnt involve lvl ing up
so thx any way.
next time i make i diffrent build so i dont need science..

Played fallout 4 since launch and have never exploited this game like this....safe to say at 978 water this strategy produces an unholy amount of passive income, i go on a quest come back to sanctuary and rince and repeat.
where i sthe best place to sell the water ? they only give ya 8 caps for it at most places

I have too much purified water, sell them for 13 caps a piece. Gone around the whole commonwealth, still left with 100+ purified water...

i use the island and i have around +50 water purifiers and i get around +1000
so I'm producing 256 of water but I'm only getting 14 purified water. why is that ? I have 17 people in my settlement
A glitch. How long do you wait..? It produces I think every 10 minutes, (or 5), test and count down them open your bench as soon as it's done and you should have about 100 water in the bench, and it will go down as the settlers use it.

+hendrik sunarto This happened to me. I removed the waters I had from the workbench and then powered off the generator going to the water purifier. After 24 hours, the water was flowing again.
I have over 200 units of water that my settlement is producing and no matter what I do no water enters my workshop. Am I missing something?
It takes around 30 mins to produce water so go do a quest or 2 and then come back
@@alexchamberlain9317 I'm aware of that and that waiting/sleeping doesn't work either. I was questing/playing for 3 hours and no water was being made.
I had a bug(?) that made it so that if I didn't take out all units of Purified Water from my workbench each production cycle it wouldn't produce any more for some reason.
I just made a cooler right next to my bench to place the water into and it solved the issue.
I also read on an old forum post that apparently the game checks for all consumable liquids (alcohol, soups, dirty water, Nuka Cola) and that if too many are in the workbench that the games robot brain gets overloaded and sometimes doesn't propagate the Purified Water it's supposed to, but I'm not sure how true that actually is. Even so, I'm not gonna risk missing out on 250 PW each cycle, so I moved them into a separate container.

So I just made myself a small water purification 'factory' that produces 180 water. I went to the workshop to collect water and only got an initial 141 purified water, now no more purified water will appear in my workshop no matter how long I wait. Could this be because I have no settlers and my factory? (Killed them because I couldn't assign them to anything)

Kyson a good way to give settlers a job is by building loads of scavenging stations, if this is one of your issues
Kyson you have to leave the settlement with the water and wait 3 days then return and you will have your purified water in the workshop :)

I've just placed loads at the sanctuary slepted for 24 hours. and it still says 18 water. do u have to leave it in game time to come back to loads
Sleeping does not work, gotta pass the time some other way which isn't a bad thing since you get time to loot some more

What if the purified water disappear from your workbench?
+Funkymanx If you don't have many Water Purifiers, then it's probably because your settlers are drinking them. You may need to produce more water than the amount of settlers you have.
+YuhNinja Check your workbench in the settlement of where the purified water stations are. It'll be easier to see if you go into the "aid" tab.
+YuhNinja You probably have to wait a while then. It won't give you the purified water instantly.

I just loot enemies that I kill. With perks you can carry far more than you should and can still fast travel. I made over a million caps doing that.

It's slow AF selling this shit once you actually farm a ton of water. It feels like I'm sitting on a fuck load of coke without the means to actually move to the stuff since each vendor even after investing in their stores only has around a 1000 caps to sell shit to. Not only that, I thought hey why not build some of my own stores. Problem is, you cannot have duplicate stores i.e two general stores as they share the caps it may not seem so but they do. Therefore more than one type of store is useless unless you're trying to increase happiness.

Quick tip for your videos, when giving advice/making a tutorial don't make it sound like your just there because you were asked to make it seem like you actually are doing it for your subscribers/viewers not just to show that you know what your doing with the game because it is noticeable that you know what you are doing otherwise you would not have created the video. To put it into easier terms be more enthusiastic don't say things like "if I can be fucked" that makes it look like you don't want to be there.
