- The stock shifter felt very quirky to me so I decided to try this farily inexpensive option from Mishimoto. The install was very easy to complete and it made a world of difference from me being a new manual driver.

Looks good mate, but you need a different adapter. You more than likely have the wrong thread pitch, so it’s effectively cross-threading.
I have the shifter, and it's not that it's being cross threaded. At the end of the adapter, on either side that doesn't have threads to help keep the shoft knob from rotating. It's sorta like a nut with a nylon thread lock.
I thought I had the notifications turned on for you. I thought you were MIA. I saw you comment on Boost in Motion's video and had to come see what you've been up to.

New Knob looks good. I just finished watching ALL of your videos from the very 1st one until now. Took me a couple weeks to watch them all. Great content man. Can’t wait to see the progress of the G. I drive a 7th Gen Maxima like you used to drive. Question. Are we still going to see a review of your wife’s Mazda? I kinda like them joints. Again. Great content & Im in for the long haul. 🤝

Just got one for my Mazda3 Love it...except for same reason you have here, the shift boot. Mine is almost an in higher than yours and exposes the threads. I love that my shifter now is long throw and that weight is awesome. But I hate the way that looks, Think Ill try to find a uni that will fit. Any idea what the long black tube is in the package??
It’s for different size shifters. I was able to make it work but this is only temp I will try a new one soon
from which year is your mazda? I have the 2018 and Im really worried about if its going to look awful

I could be wrong but it looks like your adapter has threads further up than what you screwed on, it didn't look like your threaded it on much at all even. The adapter should go further down on the lever. The threads are probably wrong on it then. Probably the wrong adapter. Its hard to tell through a video but thats what I think
Best shift knob from my opinion only problem after time of using it the colour ( black ) will come off
im getting this shifter should i get the silver one instead

@@1slows5 haha i just got the silver one does the weight make a noticeable difference in shifts ?
@@TacticalJay. good choice tho it will stay the same color , yes you will see the difference between the stock one is more fun to bang gears after with the weight the only cons with this shifter is on direct sun or hot days is getting really hot

Decided on the new car for the channel yet or are you gonna stick the G35 until, say the new Z comes?
Feeling pretty comfortable right now. I’m waiting to align my finances with my goals for when I’m ready to make the jump. The g35 will remain my daily and soon to by FBO, lowered etc. Who knows what the new car will be I’m willing to wait.

@@Wiggy321 Yeah when my Q had the turbos replaced the new ones had better seals and no EGT sensors so its a bit different. Ill check out his channel for sure

Looks sick but I'm wondering how hot it'll get when parked under the sun. That's the main reason why I wouldn't get a metal shift knob.
Doing tints all around soon
Have this same knob on my daily car which gets parked outside and its a bitch on the really hot n really cold days
You need to buy a restrictor. It covers that gap
