I bought a lighter shift knob for my MX-5, and I had to return it. I prefer the stock 8.1 oz(229.6 grams)shifter, as It is smoother when shifting. I want to get the Raceseng Slammer weighting 22.3 oz (639 grams) to get a buttery smooth action when shifting.

only reason i so no to metal, is the metal makes your hands sweat more than plastic or leather
