Installing A Mishimoto Shift Knob

I got a Mishimoto shift knob for Mako and didn't exactly think things all the way through in terms of fitment. Watch me tear apart the center console for a clean fitment.

aye bro i recommend you get a shift boot collar and maybe a new boot in general it’ll definitely add to your interior and it’ll look better

Thanks, I would have done that originally but I thought the knob was just going to twist on and I didn't think about the collar. I didn't know I was going to have to remove the center console but it looks good to me now. Because this knob is a bit higher, I can actually use my cupholders now while driving 😁🧃

You need to buy an adaptor you can get it off Amazon. It really helps fill in the gap

I’d just get a hybrid racing short throw shifter it improves the experience and looks good without a boot

Mine came opened with one of the adapters already plugged in -_- and it was all scratched up with paint missing, looks like they repackage these used at full price... very bad quality control.

Get a shift collar. It will take up the rest of the space.

Yes sir, it includes an adapter for M12 x 1.25, one for M10 x 1.5, and one for M8 x 1.25.

@@pacificprelude4913 thanks dude! Can't wait to get mine in the mail! I have a toyota yaris 5 speed and the stock shift knob is way to short for me. And I just need like 2 more inches lol. Also lookin to get some more expressive modds on my yaris😂 gonna make it into a rally car😂
