I'm never going to another shift knob, it's the perfect height for my hand and it's impossible for your hand to slip if they are sweaty. Those ball style shifters were sketch for me.

used to have one on my rx8 i sold the rx8 with the knob and kept the original rx8 knob just cause but definitely gonna get another mishimoto knob for my mustang
I have the Nismo equivalent and as much as I like it there are a few setbacks... 1. If it's hot out it'll burn your hand 2. If you're sweaty it'll slip

Honestly still bangs gears the same just way more buttery and shifts easier and way easier to hold onto so less mess ups I can’t really say cause I have stock shifter with no short throw so I’m not sure! Deff a good shift knob tho!

Hey @NickStaxz, I was watching some other videos on shift knob replacements, how did you take it off without disconnecting the AC and using pliers to hold the metal rod down? Thanks!
If you look up how to install a shift knob on a 2008 350Z, you have to take where the climate controls are and then get under the boot. I see videos of people just taking them off and others taking apart the whole assembly.
Not really still shifts same ive had aftermarket knobs only time it feels dif is when its not weighted longer knobs dont always feel better if racing more annoying
In the video i show that the shift knob comes with 3 adapters for different cars so the knob fits every car damn near just find which out of the 3 fits your car!
Yo I forgot the silver ring there too and the plastic threaded insert for the mishimoto is too tight to remove! How did u remove it to get to the ring? That jingle killing me lol
I used a pair of pliers or a channel lock because mine was stuck on it as well just put a rag or napkin around it then the pliers or channel lock so you don’t mess up the threads and use to to grip and unscrew it because that shit is too tight for you hands to take off 😂

They had a silver little ring under my old shift knob idk what for but it was making a jingle noise i just threw it away lol it’s useless tbh!

Im confused on what your asking tbh you just unscrew the shift knob and screw the new one in you don’t need to disconnect or use pliers for anything

Nah the knob just unscrews you only need to remove all that stuff when your changing the shift boot but for the knob you just unscrew it!
