58 yrs old and the very first time i have seen a watch being repaired, thankyou for a fascinating video, I look forward to watching many more .....
You are the jewel, brother. A million blessings to you.
Thanks mate
@@NekkidWatchmaker Just a question if I may. I purchased a FC highlife chronograph and the chronograph hand jams for a few seconds when almost reaching 12, then it moves again and does the same thing when reaching 12. Sometimes it jammed completely without moving again.
Also the sub seconds also jams when this is happening. I sent it back to the AD and they say it was because the power reserve was low. Is this possible? And should it be happening just because of a low power reserve?
@@NekkidWatchmaker Hello fine sir. I was wondering if you could look at a photo of my omega and tell me what it is? And secondly, possibly overhaul it if interested? I have one of the most unique and gorgeous vintage omega watches may have ever seen. It is gold, dark blood metallic red dial,1960s era I believe, squarish case, mens, factory diamonds inside on dial, but the biggest thing...the dial is factory sideways/twisted where the 9oclock is where the 12oclock should be. Can I send a photo?

My son asked me what the difference between a passion and a craft is. I got back with him after a couple weeks. I told him a passion you can do well until perfect. And a craft is something you can do perfect without losing passion. Many can get filled with passion, and then when they have had thier fill they loose interest. And a craft last a lifetime. Love watching your craft sir. Look forward to many more of your videos.
Many of your watches have produced many wonderful adjectives to describe your gift from myself !!
Having watched in awe from your beginnings, ( many iPads & devices later ) I wish to thank you for your humour & reliability during these traumatic times.
You have become an oasis of calm & humour in this continuing scary time. Thank you to your generosity to share your Gifts with our unworthy devotion.
You sir are a Unique Master !! THANK YOU 😎
Thanks Dave for your kind and generous words
What a beautiful restoration. Your cleaning, polishing and describing the errors of previous horologists' work makes this restoration so good because you are not harsh when discussing such faults. Other professionals don't, and neither do you. It is very good, and so pleasing that I feel so honoured subscribing to your channel.
Thank you 🙏
I just wish I knew of a watch repair shop near me that would pay similar attention to detail...
@@joshuaharper372 If you have a watch that needs restoration then contact Joe. I'm sure he'll help you.
Incredible transformation. I really love that you do extra steps to bring out the finish in a material; particularly if there are multiple scratches, or other defects. Amazing talent you have!
Thank you 🙏
Tu reúnes 3 de mis cosas favoritas: ser Padre, tocar la guitarra y admirar relojes… lo segundo no sabía que tenías esa habilidad pero te confieso que desde el primer video tuve una conexión… gracias sigue adelante.. You bring together 3 of my favorite things: being a father, playing the guitar and admiring watches... the latter I didn't know you had that ability but I confess that from the first video I had a connection... thanks keep going...
I am not a watch repair person just someone who appreciates an awesome craftsman at work. Also, I enjoy your passion, humor and love for what you do so well. Bravo! 💖👏👌👏👌👏👌👏💖💫💖💫💖🙏💖
So you're just like 99% of us, except for the ridiculous indiscriminate use of emojis✌️😁
So I'm guessing you're not an emjoi fan!?!? Emjois are an additional means of expressing myself... like some people clap their hands, jump for joy and/or wave their hands... 🥰🫶🥰😉😘😉 Suck it up buttercup!
@@smiling_eyes7903 there's a difference between the use of emojis, to express something and firing them indiscriminately, like a 4-year old. One doesn't have to be a fan (like yourself obviously), to use them in a meaningful way, instead of getting more and more excited with every keystroke, manifesting in the use of even more of them. Using more than 3 should be punishable anyways, at least if the perpetrator is older than 4.
I’ve been waiting for this! Don’t leave us waiting so long next time
or do!
I'll take the videos as they come. I'm personally happy to wait.
I love the amount of care you lavish on these vintage watches in your restoration videos. It's very calming to my soul. Thank you. ❤
I just have to say, you have the patience of a saint with the documentary narrative style of an Indian Mystic. Both contemplative and inspiring. Love it, love it, love it!
Thank you 🙏
From dancing in the glass to singing! You are quite the showman.
Nekkid Watchmaker The Musical 🎉. Brilliant as always Joe. Be well, Peace ☮️.
Thanks mate
This was such a gorgeous restoration. It has everything that makes a repair great: polishing, cleaning, and pointing out all the errors of the previous horologist’s work or attempts to fix the problems. You’re doing an excellent job fixing these forgotten timepieces, and I’m here for all of it. Thank you for always bringing us your best content. I can’t wait to see more of these extraordinary rescues. Stay safe, and we’ll see you on the next one, my friend. Much love from South Texas!🥰🥰
Edit: I watched both this and the silent versions, and I thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Thanks Jose
@@NekkidWatchmaker Anytime, my friend. You deserve every single view!🥰🥰
Your restoration’s are incredible! The attention to detail is incredible!!
As luck would have it, I am wearing a Nekkid Watchmaker shirt today. :-) Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you 🙏
Best watch channel ever! Can I make a cheeky suggestion? The restoration process is absolutely fascinating, but we rarely get more than 15seconds of the finished watch. Can we get a longer look at the completed work and some chat about the aesthetics?
Very interesting, and exceptional photography. Thank you!
Thanks mate
The more I watch the more envious I am of your remarkable talent, and not in a bad way.I find what you are capable of doing some mite find boring but to those of us who know, you are a true artist. Thank you.
2nd!! So excited!!
I have one of these watches given to me from my grandfather. The jeweler who appraised it 20 years ago said it was a pleasure and a once in a lifetime opportunity to hold one. Unfortunately the gold wristband is not original and the appraisal was considerably lower. It was not dismantled and works fine. It has been a pleasure seeing one actually disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled.
Did anyone notice Homer Simpson at 36:46? It should probably say a baker's 39 jewels. You made my day as usual. Best of luck!
Haha I see it, Homer/C3PO
@@NekkidWatchmaker You're right, I see C3PO too now!
😂👍
Peace, love and light. 🙏
Joe,Yet another excellent presentation. If only our politicians put as much thought and presention into their words and deeds.
Best wishes from Cardiff.
Is it weird that I don't just watch theses videos for the fantastic content but to listen to your voice. I'm a UK transplant to the US that grew up in kinghurst and went to the bullring with my nan. My aunt's and uncle had stalls there. Thanks for the memories and the videos. Our kid
Thanks mate
Man, that is gorgeous!!! It's been a few year since I've done one of these. Watching your video brought back a few memories. Thanks for posting this. Great job as always! I know it takes a lot of effort to make your videos and they're always appreciated. BTW: I wear one of your t-shirts often. ;) Peace to you and your family!!!!
Thanks Rick
It's very satisfying to see the attention you paid to showing that an insignificant amount of material was removed by weighing the parts. As well, the careful avoidance of losing sharp edges means a lot for those of us who want to keep the original shape of the case. One would think that would be everyone but apparently not!
The scratches on that torbion, they were epic. It looked like people were using an ice pick to undo the clasp. I guess none of them have undone a clasp before.
The rest of the watch bares the same scars of the serviceman with a bowie knife.
Please give us some more of that music. It's very entertaining while we watch the watch cleaner.
There is no Tourbillon on this watch
The touch of the master's hand: Priceless! (You are a good singer.) Extraordinary work!
Was looking at your channel last night as I needed something brilliant to watch, but went to bed unfulfilled. Now I realise if I'd have stayed up an extra hour I'd have been so much happier 😂 Beautiful restoration and was nice to see all 39 jewels! Cheers mate 👍
Thanks mate
In this wold full of insanity, you are an oasis of joy. ❤
Winter therapy. That’s what your videos are like. Mesmerising. What a work of art that timepiece is.
I never clicked a video this fast. Fascinating, Joe. Blessing to your friends and family. Long life.
Thank you 🙏
Really enjoyed watching this. Could hardly believe the state that it was in before! A fabulous renovation on a still beautiful GP from the 60s. It will last another 50 years at least if someone really looks after it now. Well done.
Joes greatest hits……… nice resto on this tired old girl. Always a pleasure to watch.
Outstanding engineering, scaled down brilliance , the perfect balance between mechanics and art …..
Outstanding video
Another stunner brought back to life. Excellent job as usual.
39 to me sounds like an awfully odd number 😂
Brilliant video and what a beautiful watch 👍thanks Mr Nekkid
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful work again, thank you.
The care in polishing is always especially impressive to me. People don’t realize how hard it is to not round everything into a bar of soap before you know it
The work you did on the hands, was magnificent. You gave this watch a new face.
I utilized every second of the 42.19 minute video attentively.. Really enjoy watching.
You should write a book titled "1001 uses for Rodico!" 👏👏👏
You sir are a master. Thank you for the humor, intelligence and commitment to your family. Stay Blessed!
Thanks bill
I love that watch! Going to immediately add that to my want list. As usual a masterful job my friend. Your attention to detail amazes me.
Funny, I find a bunch of jewels every time I visit this channel!!! Thanks for the great work, mate.
Thank you 🙏
Bro you really save my day today with your Video
I am so jealous of you 😂. So chilled, relaxed and very human. Also a very skilled engineer. Love your witticisms, please keep them coming.
fantastisch, wat een vakmanschap (all in Dutch) fantastic that special skills , seen it now partial 2 times and more already.
So enjoyable to watch such a successful restoration.
Thank you.
Another wizard class restoration. Cleaning and polishing the hands and minute markers without destroying them or the watch face using the kapton tape and plastic wrap as work holding and protection was genius. Video work and production are among the best I’ve seen. Inspiring on so many levels.
Excellent work on this classic piece. I love your videos. Wish I could give you a hearty handshake in person. I respect your skill, your video quality and your personal style so so much. Keep up the outstanding work.
Thank you 🙏 🤝
I just love your videos, I spend hours watching and rewatching them, they are so relaxing, entertaining and I also learn from them, since I like to tinker with my watches, but not at your level….. You are an amazing watch maker, artisan, and engineer all wrapped up in one !! You are the best I have seen on youtube…..
But most of all, you are an even greater human being, if everyone on earth would be like yourself we would all be living peaceful and happy lives !
I wish you and your family the two most important H’s….. Health and Happiness.
Thank you from Canada.
Thank you. Wishing the same for you and yours
@@NekkidWatchmaker Thank You 😊
I would absolutely love to be taught how go become a magnificent watchmaker like you , your passion is something i really admire and the quality you produce is phenominal . Your attention to detail really is second to none . I look forward to watching your videos and can not wait to see your end results after breathing life back into so many timepieces and allowing people to be able to enjoy them for many more years . Extroadinary work . Brilliant .
Singing is a feel good activity. There is no good or bad singing as long as you love it. Don't stop!!
The previous efforts! 0:39 Oh my! Someone letting a hack do such damage to a fine timepiece is criminal.
It looks as if it is a brand new watch. Great work! Thank you for sharing your video.
5:24 thats what she said
Another beautiful restoration. Bravo! As a dentist who specializes in the fabrication of crowns and bridgework your work resembles mine in many ways. Your videos inspire me to strive for the level of precision and attention to detail in my patient care that you place in yours. Thank you.
Such patience, a delight to watch!
Very pretty watch! Great job.
Love your ability and talent to restore these beautiful watches!
Thank you very much!
I don't often hear from a wise man on UA-cam, so in delight I have subscribed to your channel. Peace and fullfillment be with you.
The restoration was okay, but the voice, omg! The voice of an angel!
What a pleasant Monday evening surprise, with a serenade no less. It's amazing how you made untangling the hairspring look like child's play. FYI, Omega just released a minute repeater Speedmaster, which supplants the Jedi as its most complicated chronograph.
Nice! Glad to see an upload from you 😁👍
This watch was lucky to have you straighten out the mess the last person perpetrated upon it. Well done!
Your Vids are Asmr for the eyes!! Love the way you bring life back to the watches! Thank You!!!
your skill and expertise are breathtaking, coupled with your addictive humour make you very compelling viewing. well done sir, a stunning timepiece, restored by a true artisan.
Thank you 🙏
how do you remember where all those different size screws go do you not get them intermingled im in awe, is there any way you could increase the volume please im at full and can hardly hear you, love the vids
You are not Mr. B. anymore. After watching this delicate surgery you performed, you are Dr. B, Master Horologist, and we bow down to your skills 🙇🏻♂️🙇🏼🙇🏻♀️🙇🏽♀️🙇♀️
Missed you. You are the jewel in the crown of watch makers.
Beautiful results. Thanks so much for a fantastic video.
Thanks pablo
So good to see you back on the channel with a awesome restoration, you videos are so entertaining, and yes your singing is a lot to be desired 😂😂. Keep them coming please your expertise is infectious 😎
Lol thanks
you are the one of a kind jewel. you not only bring watches to life but sharing your infinate knowledge to all us enthusiast and watch collectors around the world. Much blessings and Gods peace be upon you.
I have "watched" other watch repair specialists,
Fortunately I fell a sleep before I lost the will to live.
I enjoy you light heated delivery.
Pls do what you do so well.
For the sake of modernity please show us the inside of a light powered radio regulated CASIO watch.
Great blessings to you. These videos helped me through the pandemic. I keep watching
Thank you 🙏
Looks new again. The results are amazing! Thank you for your work and your dedication to your craft.
Great video. Love this watch!
Why do I find Mr Nekkid”s work so relaxing???
And what a voice………………….ahem.
Your macro shots on this restoration are amazing.
Now this is the kind of video I love from you. I'm surprised at the relatively low part count as well especially given the number of jewels. The finished piece is magnificent.
You're simply outstanding! What craftmanship. Are there any restored vintages that are for sale?
This is one of the most beautiful watches I have seen in ages pure elegance.
I really appreciate your skill bringing these classics back to life. Thanks for sharing.
That watch was probably worked on by someone that was trying to learn how to fix it, but ended up messing it up.
Another beautiful restoration, Nekkid. The case and dial work were especially satisfying - no point having a spick and span movement if everything else you can see is, how can I put it, Naff. Thanks for sharing-a-bit. 😀
Thanks john. Glad you like it mate
Every watch is a jewel after your work. Great job.
Thanks mate
Ty. I find watching these restoration vids relaxing. Funny commentary helps!
Watching you removing the minimum of gold in the scratch reducing process I wondered if there was such a thing as a peening machine that would gently hammer the surface to batter the dents and scratches away. I doubt I'm the first to think of such a thing but I'd be interested in knowing why, if it doesn't exist.
Мастер золотые руки,всем добра мира и крепкого здоровья!
Your humor and expertise keep me coming back for more. I love all the quirky humor fitted in-between all the technical information. Keep up the awesome work!! Thank you!!
Now it’s clear where the term ‘craftsman’ applies. Such attention to detail and a great restoration of a beautiful watch. 😊
What ham-handed "watchmaker" scratched up all those gold parts so badly? Beautiful job bringing back the high polish!
If one takes into consideration the precise measurements required at the inception of each gear, jewel, pinion, and spring, I walk away from these videos with a profound respect for the human engineers who dreamed of these masterpieces and then created them.
I dearly loved hanging out around the camp fire while you (sang). Your work , and that watch are gorgeous. Next video drop PLEASE use a 4 min. outro of your brothers music for atonement!
Very nice work. So unfortunate the previous watchmakers butchered the dial and hands so badly. However, you did a marvelous job. Well done. A pleasure to watch!
Parabéns pelo seu talento. Deus te abençoe
Lovely, as usual. Is that moly paste that you use in main spring barrels of automatics? Also, what is that tape that you make frequent use of in your excellent and thoughtful finishing work? I need some of that.
That’s kapton tape. And the grease is called braking grease, likely made by Moebius, tho I don’t know what it is specifically comprised of.
I found this: www.moebius-lubricants.ch/sites/default/files/security_sheet/tinf_9500_en.pdf
Yes correct. The grease is kluber p125
As usual a brilliant video. Especially the guitar serenade with golden vocals. I cannot get over how steady your hands are! So satisfying to watch. /thanks again
I almost spit my coffee out when you started singing! 😂 Your skills and humor are incredible!
First lol
