I was 18 in 1982 and saw them at a club in New Orleans called Jimmy's Live Music Club. One of the best shows EVER, followed by a torrential rainstorm with everyone running out into the streets in the wee hours of the morning trying to find our cars in the pouring rain. It WAS BRILLIANT !!!
EVEN I MISS MY ADOLESCENCE, MY FRIENDS, MY ENTHUSIASM, TO HAVE BEEN CHILDREN IN THE 80's, MEANING NOW ADULTS, BUT THIS IS LIFE, A STRONG EMBRACE FROM ITALY ✋🇮🇹✋
The Furs are what converted me to being a "New Wave" fan back in the 80's. I remember being assigned to my first ship, the USS Cushing in 1983, and going in to the ship's store and seeing a cassette tape of the Furs. I has no idea who they were. I saw that tape in there for about six months when I got tired of seeing it. So, I bought it just so the store keeper would order something new. I listened to that tape and became an instant Furs fan. I have had every song of theirs since then (just not on cassette tape any more, LOL!). Sorry I can't make it to the Tucson, AZ concert on October 16th. Would've loved to be there.
Strange times as we used to always say look forward to the future. But I’m with a lot of you and miss the 80s. Good times. Good music. Good friends. God bless. 🇨🇦
I grew up on this music. It's the only thing I thrive to no matter what happens of the world, these are the times for the passion of compassion and empathy, thrived, and everybody loved everybody.
They didn't help themselves much by releasing the 'Midnight To Midnight' album. It's the only one of their albums that I never listen to (but still own).
Saw them in DC a couple of weeks ago, they sounded amazing! I’m 54, I grew up on the second British Invasion of music, from the late 70’s into the 80’s! Best time to be alive! ❤
Something about this song touches me in so many ways ,makes me happy ,sad ,hopefull, hopeless, gives an answer to the meaning of life in a very simple way. This is a Psych Furs masterpiece.
Dance like it's the 80's! There was a club here in Hollywood called The Veil where all the new romantic kids would go and dance to the great songs of the era - I was there thankfully.

Hi I recommend a song called 'Looking Into The Mirror' By Robert Nix
Momenti che rimarraanno immortali per la musica...
Un bel tuffo hel passato ❤
This song always gives me chills! I just want to spin, cry, and dance like a maniac! I miss my teenage years...
Yeah... it really was brilliant, but do we really have to leave? Nah.
I have no words . You are spot on. Great band 🙂
I'm with you.
EVEN I MISS MY ADOLESCENCE, MY FRIENDS, MY ENTHUSIASM, TO HAVE BEEN CHILDREN IN THE 80's, MEANING NOW ADULTS, BUT THIS IS LIFE, A STRONG EMBRACE FROM ITALY ✋🇮🇹✋
1980's music was the best, San Diego, Orange County, LA, Santa Barbara, SF, all happening with new wave clubs non stop. Great times...
In the 80's that is priceless and i am grateful.
Heaven is the whole of our hearts......and nothing else.
Acknowledge this is another great song of the 80’s
Timeless is anyone else loving this music?
I must listen to this 3-4 times. Each time.
So many people ...I got many friends back in 80's in Belgrade, massive fans of Furs
“There’s too many kings wanna hold you down.”
Life in the USA exactly.....
This song hit the mark in so many ways...
So True!
Best music, best era! Great Bands! We are definitely the fortunate ones to be able to experience all of this music in the 80’s in our youth.
I saw them in concert back in the 80's - they were excellent!!!
I had a pint with them in a pub in putney
Is it just me or is the quality really amazing for a video filmed in the 80s??
Always loved The PSYCHEDELIC FURS!!:)))
One of the most beautiful videos of the era. Richard Butler singing in the rain.
You need to see that Love & Rockets video, I think it's for So Alive, where they're having motor oil blown onto them at gale force.
Gene Kelly can only wince...
the best generation ever...80's new wave forever!!
Being a TEEN in the 80s and knowing the FURS loved you = HEAVEN!
Strange times as we used to always say look forward to the future. But I’m with a lot of you and miss the 80s. Good times. Good music. Good friends. God bless. 🇨🇦
Love this song ... can't erase this one from my memory of 52 years
One of the greatest, most intensely creative bands ever…..
I grew up on this music. It's the only thing I thrive to no matter what happens of the world, these are the times for the passion of compassion and empathy, thrived, and everybody loved everybody.
Quite simply one of the most underappreciated bands of the eighties! They deserve more praise!
If someone thinks this music is out of date, I am just here to say that the following continues and it's as enthusiastic as ever.
If this song doesn't send chills down your spine you must be dead! Long live the 80's
Forgot how terrifically written SO much of the music from the 80s is, brilliant.
A
so did i, and i lived it. i'm shocked i didn't realize it then. it was the APEX of American Pop music.
@@cameron_fairchild i think you will find that as are the psychedelic furs , depeche mode etc were british a golden era in ky countriys history
@Alejandro Moreno vero.io li amo gli anni 80 e sn nato nell 80
@@cameron_fairchild Certainly, this was standard radio airplay then, a gift that was just barely appreciated in the moment!
The reason for Jesus his love never fails he is worth improving your value thank you Lord Jesus for your kindness when I was a unworthy sinner
One of the most underappreciated bands of the 80's
In the 80's we were spoiled by the embarrassment of riches!
Not by us lot mate, fucking great English band.
They were quite popular in the 80's .
People need to stop fantasizing and assuming everyone should get the empty attention madonna got
They didn't help themselves much by releasing the 'Midnight To Midnight' album. It's the only one of their albums that I never listen to (but still own).
Che fortunati noi ragazzi degli anni 80 con queste meraviglie👍👍👍🥰
Hello Cristina, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
Davvero una fortuna.... teenager anche io negli 80's
Hello Sylvia, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
I have seen the Psychedelic Furs twice in concert and loved them both times.
Hello Carol, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
Dance like it's the 80's! There was a club here in Hollywood called The Veil where all the new romantic kids would go and dance to the great songs of the era - I was there thankfully.
Ohhh do I remember the Veil club! You described it perfectly. I still think about that place. The best times of my life
One of my favorite ‘80s bands. I feel lucky to have have been a teenager during that decade.
Hello Linda, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
