"All I ever wanted, all I ever needed is here, in my arms". That's so true and I really feel it when I hug my little son. So poetic.

Not surprised. This was/is the song for me & my furry cat son (Blinky), but we were separated while I was in a compromised state.
The pain is excruciating and my arms still feel empty.
I had no reason or will to continue until he came into my life, he gave me peace and meaning and a sense of being tethered to this earth.
The lyrics fit very well for a parent experiencing the fulfilling connection with a child.
Words are truly unnecessary for something so indescribable, and I’m usually the most exhaustively wordy person I know.
Being with my little boy settled my mind, allowed me to simply “be”.

For everyone wondering whats the meaning behind the video, here is what i read on a website:
*The disarming simplicity of the video wanted to send the message that, as rich and powerful as you may be, the search for inner peace and silence is always a valid challenge, even for a king.*

Great song! Great album. My brother Micah, who is 2 years my junior, got this cassette tape for my Christmas present in 1989. Man, what a great gift! I just turned 50 years old last month. But every time I hear a song from this masterpiece, it stirs up so many different feelings. But the best of all of those feelings, is that my li'l brother Micah had such good taste, and he bought this for me. I love you Micah!

You can tell how much a song moves you. I'm a 64 year old man and when this song came out, I was blown away. I actually did this at a karaoke last year. I'm not a great singer by any means, but I can carry a tune. LOL. Anyway, I had the crowd at the pub up dancing. I was quite flattered. My son and daughter were there with their mates and my wife. It was my birthday and I had a few. This is the only reason why I got up. We had a lot of fun.

      [[Slenderman]]
      Esta noche oscura
      te tortura la locura
      procura estar a mi altura
      aunque es baja tu estatura
      tartamudas ante el miedo
      que genero en el momento
      que aparezco entre las sombras
y en tu mente me conecto.
      Ven victima mía
      siente mi presencia
      no luches por tu vida
y se parte de mi esencia.
      Con decencia me escabullo
      y aparezco detrás tuyo
      huye todo lo que quieras
      porque yo siempre te escucho.
      ¿Tu eres Jeff The Killer?
Tu vida pende de un hilo
      mientras te cortas la cara
yo te agarro y te aniquilo
      has requerido
ser traumado para ser un asesino
      cuando yo toda mi vida
      miles de almas he obtenido.
      Soy Slenderman
      y puedo cambiar de forma
      te conformas si te digo
      que tu cara es espantosa
      llevo la maldad
y la expando a tu alrededor
      no requiero fuego y cúter
      para causarte terror.
      [[Jeff The Killer]]
      Tu Siempre me vigilas
      creo que primero
      unos ojos necesitas
      veo que has notado
      que soy sumamente guapo
      pero no me envidies
      tu eres eh ¿Alto?
      Voy a ser sincero
      no quiero esta riña
no voy a batallar con un
      flaco que roba niñas
      eres tan malvado
      eres tan entomófilo
      espera la palabra que busco
      es PEDOFILO!.
      Crees que esos tentáculos
      te hacen aterrador
      pokebola ve te elijo
      a ti Bulbazor
      supongo que jamás
rosaste el filo de la muerte
      mala suerte la tuya
      el placer es excelente .
      Necesito un cuchillo
      y mucha gente ejecutar
      mientras tu esperas
en el bosque pa' niños asustar
      colocando notitas
      con dibujos sin un fin
      ja solo te diré

One of the greatest songs ever made in all of human history. It sounds like a lullaby, which has been elevated by the synth pads. The drum pattern invites you to dance but the backing vocals and ambience are almost too cerebral. So you just stand there in utter shock at how stunning this song is.

I'm 51. I will never forget the first time I heard The Cure. A friend and I had hiked up a mountain ridge to camp that night. We lugged a boom box up that mountain. That night she played The Cure. The music flowed down the sides of the ridge echoing off the solid rock cliffs. The words spoke to me. It was the most beautiful sound I ever heard. Have seen them live twice.

@@jadeemerson301although I agree this song fits in better with the 1980s culturally and aesthetically, however I disagree with you characterisation that the year 1990 was also more akin to the 80s. It's s murky thing to define decades culturally, but in saying that I think the year 1990 stands out as a significant marker in the trajectory of cultural trends that we would later define and identify as '90s'. Pop culture in the 80s was larger than life and very camp and theatrical, 90's was also camp but in a more sexual, less 'quirky' way. 90s was defined as a more casual and relaxed counterpart to the 80s, adopting a 'less is more' sophistication. Pop music was becoming more 'urban' with the growing popularity of rnb and hip hop which was just beginning to dominate the charts. New wave was dead by 1989, and a lot of those artists eithef went more Goth, dream pop or they went more techno which was also beginning to make a significant impact on the charts and the cultural shift. Synths were replaced with droaning, distorted guitars with no instruments distinguishable from another in genres like grunge and shoegaze. The stereotype of the gen x 'slacker' was also defined as a significant cultural shift. Madonna's masterpiece film clip to 'Vogue' is a perfect example of this more refined shift, camp but more mature. Same thing applies to George Michael's 'freedom'. Sinead O'Connor's mesmerising cover of prince's 'nothing compares 2 u' dominated the charts in most countries, this song was influential in the 'female singer songwriter' that would become massive in the 90s. Groups like Blackbox were also making their mark on the culture and the sound, especially with the piano house sound that would go on to be a staple in eurodance which exploded in the early 90s. I could write an essay on this but I won't bore everyone to death here.

It was trying to find its way out, apparently. So, I didn’t kill the moth. I gave it a chance to leave as I continued watching the movie. After finishing the movie I played one last song before bed. People are People by Depeche Mode. When I woke up the next morning the moth was gone. I’m assuming it didn’t die and fall behind some furniture😎

I think the biggest problem with words, or a language is the interpretation gets lost in translation too many times. Too many times we greatly misunderstand each other, as in something is said but then taken out of context. Not to mention that we can also misuse these words to purposely do the things that I just mentioned.
Its ironic that humans are the only species that primarily use this exaggerated feature from the sense of taste, to interpret & communicate, whereas other species rely on the other senses.
For instance, a dog will either like another dog, person, etc etc or not. There is no misunderstanding or miscommunication amongst animals. They cant lie or decive each other. Only us, the most sophisticated, intellectual, & advanced species can do this. And even when we aren't doing any of these, we then completely misunderstand each other.

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence lyrics:
    Words like violence
    Break the silence
    Come crashing in
    Into my little world
    Painful to me
    Pierce right through me
    Can't you understand?
    Oh my little girl
    All I ever wanted
    All I ever needed
    Is here in my arms
    Words are very unnecessary
    They can only do harm
    Vows are spoken
    To be broken
    Feelings are intense
    Words are trivial
    Pleasures remain
    So does the pain
    Words are meaningless
    And forgettable
    All I ever wanted
    All I ever needed
    Is here in my arms
    Words are very unnecessary
    They can only do harm
    All I ever wanted
    All I ever needed
    Is here in my arms
    Words are very unnecessary
    They can only do harm
